Review:
This is not one of Evanovich's usual humorous escapades, which is why I read her books. The main female character was dry, and serious and the antagonist, a male character, was semi-humorous. I thought the book was over detailed and boring in some parts. So if your spoiled by the humor in her Stephanie Plum series or the humor in the Wicked series this book will most likely be boring for you.

Review:
I loved the enemies to lovers theme in the book. Ivan and Miranda had great chemistry for a fake relationship. I thought it took a little too long for the characters get to know each other and there were parts that we seem to summarize and gloss over whereas I would have loved more details of their time together. But overall a great book, and its been a while since I read the author so its was a good book to the author.

I have found a new must read author and a new must read series that has the potential to end up a favorite. From the second I started this book, I didn't want to put it down (if it wasn't for work, I wouldn't have). I am so glad I have book two in my hot little hands already. I can't wait to start it.

Review:

This is a continuation of the series, but this story is of Gideon's brother Gabriel. I think it was a great book, there is a different take on the shifter story with different realms and a different plot line that I have not come across. It kept me reading and I thought it was a great book. I love the hero, especially how he is still trying to find his place in the beginning of the book, being the second son, so his dad is the alpha and his older brother is the next alpha. He has no real responsibility until he is asked to protect the heroine Rowan. Rowan is suppose to be the leader of her people and is wanted by the crazy bad guy who is obsessed with her. Most of the book, I was not actually fond of her, because I kept thinking, she is suppose to be a leader...there really wasn't many good leader like qualities in my opinion. But it didn't deter me much from the story. I can't wait to read the next one and sadly the last.

Bonds of Need (Wicked Play, #2) by Lynda Aicher by Lynda Aicher
Rating: 4 Stars
Finished: 3/17/14

When I first read Bonds of Trust, I have to admit that I sometimes was more intrigued by Kendra and Deklan than I was Cali and Jake. They both had shadows following them that I wanted to know more about. In this book we really get to the root of Kendra’s story. We learn about everything that she had been through before she showed up in town. Her past is a scary one and it has definitely done some damage to her ability to trust herself and others. Deklan on the other hand, I felt like we barely got to know. While I appreciated learning about his family life, which is what really started his savior complex, I was a bit disappointed in the lack of details about his adult life while in the army.

I really loved Deklan and Kendra together. He was exactly what she needed to learn to trust again and she was exactly what he needed to feel like he wasn’t always going to let people down. The strength that Kendra shows in the end is amazing and I don’t know if many people who had gone through what she did would be able to do it. I’m sure it helped having Deklan in her corner.

Of course, the book was definitely super-hot, but it was also emotionally fulfilling as well. It wasn’t just all about the BDSM world or The Den. I am really enjoying this series so far, which is good because there are more books to read. I’m not sure though if anyone will be able to top Deklan and Kendra as my favorite couple from The Den. I hope that we see more of them in the future books.

I really wanted to love this book because I haven’t read a Jamie McGuire book I hadn’t loved up until this point. The beginning started out pretty great and I was really excited to keep going, but as we got deeper and deeper into the book I really had to force myself to finish. The book was a little longer than it needed to be and at about the halfway point, the characters were really grating on my nerves.

I was really interested in the mythology, but unfortunately, we didn’t get as much of it as I would have liked. It sounds like we might get more in the next two books, but I’m not sure when I’ll get to those. Nina and Jared were pretty great in the beginning…mostly when they were only meeting on the street every once in a while. Once they got together things sort of went downhill, which made me sad. Of course there were moments that I loved them together, but there was too much in between that could have been cut out that would have had me bumping up my rating up to at least a full 3 stars, if not 3.5 stars.

The one character that I never really waivered on was Claire. I really liked her from the start and I would love to read a story all about Claire…if she could get away from Nina, Jared and Ryan. Doesn’t sound like that’ll be happening though. Maybe her and Ryan could become romantically linked and he’ll stop whining. One can only hope.

Review:
Julian is need of a wife to have his heir. He is suspected of killing his first wife who was not faithful to him, and this next time around he wants a wife who will be obedient and "safe" since he does not plan to love. Sophy has her own reason for getting married to Julian, and one of them being that she has been in love with him for a while and she wants him to fall in love with her. I love Sophy because she is trying to have a lot of woman's right in the book and it frustrates and annoys Julian so much. Unfortunately he is called the devil, but it doesn't seem like many people are scared of him, he gets angry a lot because he tries to control Sophy and Sophy does not fall in line. It keeps the book entertaining. A marriage of convenience that is not really convenient for either of them.

Unfortunately, this was not one of Koontz's best works. The story line was intriguing but there were times when the action was strung out between pages of uninteresting and unneeded rambling. It lost my interest several times. I did, however complete the book. I knew that there would be a surprise ending. It just seemed to lack the constant, compelling suspense that his other works have.

Review:

Well it's pretty easy to write a review for this one. I love this book! I loved Conrad Wroth, even though he drinks from the vein, and is probably going mad and is an assassin on top. Everything that has been the opposite of our heroes, but Conrad is just so endearing, and he is the only one who can see Naomi. Naomi is a ghost since she was killed by her ex-fiancee, until Conrad no one has been able to see her or hear her. They seem to be saving each other, Naomi is bringing him back from madness and Conrad relieves her of her loneliness. Naomi and Conrad definitely are one of my favorite couples. This book had a lot of characters back from the previous books and I like Nix more and more. I am looking forward to reading Cadeon's book.

Rating: 5 million stars...okay 5 stars
Finished: 3/26/14

I had the ridiculously awesome privilege of beta reading this book for Sandy last year and the final product is just as amazing as the rough product was. I've been a huge fan of this series from the start. It is so fresh and new, especially in a genre that is pretty full of the same old stuff.

McKenzie is one of my favorite urban fantasy heroines and I grew to love her even more as every book progressed. And don't even get me started on the men in her life. Kyol and Aren are so fantastic, of course, though I have a major soft spot for Aren, which made this book heartbreaking at times.

The end of this book, which is also the end of the series, has to be one of the most satisfying endings I've ever read. This will go down as one of my favorite series and I will definitely re-read it as often as I can.

Molly has a crush on Star's quarterback Kevin. Surprisingly, I am giving this book 4 stars, because the first half of the book, I hated Molly and Kevin wasn't my favorite either. By the time both characters redeemed themselves, it was almost the end of the book. But the secondary story of Kevin's mom was really good. And the excerpt for the children's story book was interesting to read. Most of the time, I was annoyed with Molly, but there were some funny moments with Kevin, but again too late in the book for me. I hope the next book is better.

In typical J.D. Robb fashion, she delivers yet another mystery of how and why the dead become that way. There may even be a hint of caution for our teens to be home by curfew! I loved that the book wasn't overly dramatic, although it had it's moments, but it was mostly two people falling in love and dealing with that. I really love Jules too and I am so looking forward to once again familiarizing myself with her family. I hope we see more of her and Nate in future books, especially since it was great seeing Luke and Nat in this one.
