Group Book Read for Feb/March 2014

I wanted to see if there was any interest in doing a book read for Feb/March? We would read a book that was written by a PA Author or a book where the setting is in PA. People can list a book they are interested in. Then we can take the list books and do a poll to vote on the book to read. There are many more that are not listed in these areas. The genre is not important.

Many of the books on my Pennsylvania list - https://www.goodreads.com/list/user_v... - are out of print and it would be hard for the group members to get copies. Straight Man by Richard Russo would be a possibility. While Russo is not from PA, the book is set in Pennsylvania's rust belt. Another "rust belt" classic would be American Rust by Philipp Meyer. I read The Son by this author last summer and was quite impressed by it.

Straight Man looks like it would be great. I'm definitely interested in reading that. Another book I'm interested in reading soon is Digging Dusky Diamonds.

More Than Petticoats: Remarkable Pennsylvania Women also seems like it would be pretty intersting. Katie you can get through Amazon.
