Scott, you are getting close to or are at the Purple Wedding. :) Keep going!

well, okay there is another really, well okay two more really awesome parts towards that I was like wow.
I'm at 46% and feel very sorry for Sansa. I actually thought that Tyrion was going to go through with the bedding, glad he changed his mind.
Loved Dani's revenge with the slave traders, serves him right.

Ok, finished Storm of Swords. Rachel, I had some of the exact same thoughts as you did. I was really surprised by Lillifinger's final act in the book.
Oh Scott, wasn't that wonderful? There rest will be in a spoiler but I will not give out any details, (view spoiler) Can't wait to start book four. :)
Totally agree. I've heard that 4 and 5 are concurrent. I think that is going to be frustrating. For example reading 700+ pages of book 4 and not hearing a single thing from the perspective of Jon or Danni!
I need to finish this! Im just afraid that once I get going, I won't be able to stop! Hopefully, this weekend, I'll finish. Anyone want to continue to book 4?
I would like to read the 4th book this year but would need a break in between to get some other stuff read.
I would like to read the 4th book, before season 5 gets going, lol. I want to be ahead of the TV show now.
At 82% I've come to the conclusion that stark blood is cursed. Every one of them is screwed, bastard or not IMO.
Finished and I am in awe. What a way to end a book! BAM!! So many things were revealed and so many questions still. I think, no, I must continue this series. I just can't wait!
I saw that book 4 and 5 are concurrent so after finishig 4 you only have half of the perspective that you had in the earlier books.
I don't get it...do we not continue the story? It seems as though we get back story and new characters.
Well, as much as I hate the greyjoys, it wud serve to know what happened to them. Guess I'll read the sample for now.
I heard the best book by far is book 3. We really did get a lot of crazy stuff going on with the weddings and surprising deaths and twists. Just remember we are finally ahead of the TV show. This is important to me because then I will know what happens and can't wait to see it on TV but if they change things it would be a nice surprise, well hopefully. We have to read books 4 and 5 to get to books 6 and 7, haha. I have the book. I'm reading other stuff right now until we have enough people to start book 4. I want to see what happens to some of the characters.
I've just read the Red Wedding scene. :( I wish things were being retold from someone other than Caitlyn pov, she's not a favourite of mine.
I actually thought I was much further on with this book but my version has over 1600 pages and only up to about 1000. Still a long way to go.

oh, the red wedding. :) I'm not sure if you have watched the hbo show yet, when you do it's changed up a bit.
Yes, I watched the series and as terrible as this scene was in the tv show it doesn't match the prolonged sense of dread that you get in the book. The book was pure carnage.
At least I have Joffrey's wedding to look forward to.

I'd like to know what happens to Walder Frey, only because I would like to see him come to an extremely nasty end.

Yeah, I am. Though I'm gonna take it slow this time and just maybe read a few chapters here and there. Though, what I read last nite of book 4 had me glued for an hour...lol.
Kate, keep going. You will find out. As for your post in the spoiler it's something that everyone cheers about. I don't know anybody that cheer for that.
I've finished! I very much enjoyed the ending. (view spoiler)I don't want to rush with the next book but I can start it now as long as everyone is okay with pacing it out a bit more.
Isn't that a great ending? Loved it, also all the possibilities. Right now I'm reading a lot of books. I'm trying to finish up In Cold Blood. I'm all for pacing it out.
Just finished up one of my other reads. I will probably start Feast for Crows this evening. Has anyone else started?
Not yet...ill try and change the title of the thread sometime tonight so ppl know were moving on to the next.
I haven't started yet, I'm trying to finish up a few reads and catch up with my reading challenge. I'll start reading a few chapters next week.
