Ahh, my kids have this crazy dance recital going on this weekend so I might have to catch up with both SoS and Hive at the beginning of next week.

I'm starting SOS on the 30th May.
The comments from you guys are making me impatient to start. ;)

Finished watching the first season last night. It was really good. Probably won't watch the 2nd season until the end of summer though.

I'm only at 4% but I started! I'm looking forward to more of Dany's story, and Tyrion's. They are my favorite characters, for their resiliance. I'm also a big fan of the Stark sisters, each making their way in a rough world.

I will put a little more about it in the spoiler.
(view spoiler)

Dany and Aery's are my favorite. Catelyn is almost a favorite, but something about her doesn't let me fully like her.

Its hard to have Catelyn as a favorite because her story is so melancholy. She never seems to have any powerful moments (her best is her bonding with Brienne). I think she is more likable in the tv show because the actress who plays her is so fantastic.

I like Sansa I suppose because I've watched the current tv series and I see where her character has developed. I can actually see where Sansa, Arya and Dany could all end up being very much alike, starting off in circumstances not of their own making and learning to be strong and manipulate the unique circumstances each finds themselves in. Sansa's had it hardest of all, brought up to be a 'proper lady', given absolutely no tools to take care of herself, only to find herself living basically in a snake pit.

I was really surprised by that action with Sam at 20%!
I've just started and as I'm reading the collection with all four books I'll have no idea what % I'm really at.
The prologue was good, the plan by some of the black watch to escape has now been scuppered with the arrival of the 'others'.
I've only read the next chapter with Jaime, definitely not a gentleman.

Argh, I need to catch up, only at 7% still. Sick kidlets and end of the school year activity is keeping me from it! Also there was a death in this newest season on tv that really got to me, lol. You'd think I'd be used to it by now.

26% Im actually feeling bad for Jaime. He has no idea of what his father has done or is planning. Poor, delusional Jaime.

I watched an interview of George Martin and he said, the HBO writers are killing off people in his books and in very brutal ways yet they live in his books. So, I'm trying to figure out who he is talking about. I have to keep reading on.
