#203-4 done.#205 not done - had "new cover" in the edition field, so have updated the info to say it's an alternate-cover edition (covers have slight difference, but it is a difference nonetheless).
#207 done. Someone else has gotten #209.

re 212, unless i'm missing something, that's not a merge. they have valid, distinct ASINs, covers, different titles, etc. that might be a combine, if the old novella was the precursor to the new novel?
Re: 212The second link had the correct information removed/edited to replace a previous version. The edition has been corrected/updated. No deletion necessary.
That is really weird. When I pasted those links they were 2 nearly identical editions, with the latter only missing the ASIN info. Whelp, never mind then. Thanks anyway!

#221 no merge. Goodreads does not delete out of print editions. Data fixed and combined with newer editions.
I don't know if this is the correct thread to post this in, so please forgive me if it's not. There is another author on this site with the same name as me, but we are not the same person. re 247, i think it was a failed attempt at someone or some database to import the kindle version of 12.21.12: The Vessel. I am going to combine and clean it up.

Z-squared, one problem. "12.21.12" and "12.21.12: The Vessel" are actually *not* the same book. I rewrote the original novel (the former), added a new subplot and completely different ending, then re-released it as the latter. They should not be combined; they are not the same book.
re 252, i triple checked amazon, and they all share the same blurb, and the kindle editions even share the same ASINs. i know that you have made alterations, but under goodreads policy, i believe they have to be combined. you can try to get a second opinion from Rivka, but i think she'd agree. you can add disclaimers to the older editions to indicate that they are no longer available and/or have been massively rewritten. And you can designate the newest edition as the default. Otherwise, I think that's how they have to be.

I understand if that's Goodread's policy. I asked for Amazon's guidance on re-publishing, and they told me to issue it under the exiting ASIN, even though I wanted to publish it as a new book and leave the old one up. They, however, thought it would be too confusing to customers. Contextually, however, they're different. Perhaps this is a case which merits exception?
