For editions to be merged with something other than the work default, please remember to separate out the two editions for merging before posting in this thread.

i can merge the Editions but there is an account add the books as ads not with the orginal Name of the book but with a Commercial Name

One was created by a user -- which is fine, except most of the information is incorrect (even the author's name). I had created my own version of the book and would like that one to represent my work.

So please delete:

The second entry was made by error; I prematurely added the book to the database and didn't attach the cover. I apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate the help.

Thank you for your help! The information on the book, however, is still incorrect (a user had originally entered it into the database with incorrect info). I've applied for the Author's Program -- will I be able to fix this (the blurb, links, ISBN. etc) once I'm accepted?

I don't even know if this is permitted, but my Author Page:

lists a dozen collections of erotic stories which I edited, several other anthologies in which I've written, and 5 books I have authored. Since I cannot have them arranged differently, I would like to delete the ones I edited. At this point that's all anyone sees (or looks at!) for obvious reasons, so nobody even realizes I've published my own full length books. I'm very frustrated by the situation. Can someone please help?

Marcy, I apologize for the frustration, but Goodreads policy is to list the editor of an anthology as the primary author. Those books will be staying on your page, I'm afraid.

A suggestion, if I may: you might consider a blog post on Goodreads (imported the usual way from you blog or just posted here) featuring your solo books.

If I do a blog post, can I put some kind of note on the Author page directing people to that particular post? Otherwise it's useless; very few GRers read my blog posts, and if they did, they'd see only the latest one first.

You could certainly link to the blog post from your author bio section. Or you might prefer to put links directly to the books there.

This is getting rather off-topic for this thread and really outside the scope of this group, though. You mentioned you had emailed Support; they may have some other suggestions for you.

On the off chance the users that shelved this actually meant the screenplay, I combined as first step in merge. But it's locked, and I'm not very experienced with NABing things anyway... help!

it is off by its lonesome, and its title doesn't match any other books by that author. if i had to guess, it MIGHT be this one:

based on the librarian log for the first link, 'no rest for the dead' used to be 'no rest for the wicked', which is close to the subtitle 'no peace for the wicked'. i'm not familiar enough with this series to be certain, however. maybe another superlibrarian is?

3/5 Combined all editions, including German ones.

4) Incorrect deletes/overwrite all reverted back to orig data. All editions combined & newly-created dup PB edition deleted.

6) Editions combined.

No problem. :)

RE: removal of old cover, it's against GR policy to delete valid book data, covers and/or editions. Instead, an alternate edition should be created.

Lila | 6 comments I asked before to have the following 3 books deleted, and several librarians kindly responded it had been done. However, I still see them on my bookshelf, so I'm not sure what was done or if I needed to do a followup step or if they are gone for everyone but me or if the edit didn't "take".

The books are:

Succubus Bites (Vol 1): Reformation
Succubus Bites (Vol 2): Rage
Succubus Bites (Vol 3): Recreation

I ended up publishing all the stories that would have been contained in the 3 volumes above in 2 different books: Succubus Bites: Tasmin and Succubus Bites (An Erotic Sampler).
