Once Upon A Time and Lara

"Yeah it saying your losing."

Sam rolled her eyes. She shoved Danny gently. "Be nice."

"I am." He said looking at her. "Here's and expresso liked I promised."

Sam's eyes lit up. "Thank you!" She took it and started to sip it. "Mmmm. Much better than I remember it..."

Sam nodded. "Ok." She didn't want to repeat the incident from last time. "I promise." She said, smiling at him over the rim of her cup.

Sam blushed and tried to hide it by taking a sip of her drink. She smiled bashfully down at it.

"So what do we do now?" He asked looking down at her. He smiled at her. "I'm glad I got you back." He whispered.

Sam nodded. "I'm glad you got me back as well. I would have hated to stay with that... that... pervert." she said, shaking her head.
"Pervert?" Chase muttered, from his spot where he was unseen. "We'll see about that. Don't worry, I'll get my revenge on you two girls." he said. He walked up, invisible behind Sam and slowly pressed something against the back of her neck. The silver chip immediately absorbed into her flesh.
Sam screamed and jumped in surprise as she felt that, and spun around, but no one was there.
Chase moved into the bedroom where Calla and James were sleeping. He pulled out another such chip and pushed it into the back of Calla's neck as well.
((Just so you know, the chips are going to slowly turn them into cyborgs XP ))

Danny looked at Sam. "What's wrong?" She asked as she turned around. He looked to see what she was looking at. "There is nothing there" He was worried. "Are you ok?" He asked.
Calla shivered. She felt something in her but nothing much. It tickled kind of. She snuggled into James some more. She dismissed the feeling she felt as a bug nothing more. She smiled in her sleep. Still thoughts of a Chase came into her sleep.

Sam nodded slowly, a little freaked out. "Yeah, I think so..." She shivered. "I just thought someone touched me there for a second." Her body felt weird, but she figured it was just because she was freaked out.
James didn't even wake up as Chase left them, smiling. He kept sleeping beside her, blissfully unaware of what had just happened.

"Ok." He said looking at her. "It's nothing I promise." He said with a smile. "So what do you want to do now?" He asked.
Calla felt different. She didn't know what. She felt like someone or something was controlling her. She shifted again trying to dismiss this feeling. After awhile she couldn't ignore it. "James something feels off."

The back of Sam's neck was tingling. She rubbed it a little, confused slightly as to what it may be. "Ok." She nodded. "I would usually say anything, but my neck is driving me crazy right now... it feels really weird."
James woke up slowly and blinked, yawning. "Are you ok? Can you tell what it is? Are you in pain?" He asked, instantly worried about her.

"Let's go see if James can since anything wrong." He whispered. Picking her up. Walking up the steps.
"My neck it's bothering me. I don't know what it is though. It feels like I being controlled and thoughts of Chase keep coming into my head." She said. She saw Danny and Sam walk in. "What's wrong?"
"Her neck."

Sam gasped. "I hope not!" thoughts of chase were swimming through her own head as well. Other then that, and the weird feeling in her neck, she felt fine.... so far.

"James I just feel so real." She said looking at him. "It coming from neck and all I can think about now is Chase." She said.

"There isnt any magic involved here, wich is strange to say the least." James said, frowning a little more.

"James I don't like this feeling." She complained. "I feel so off."

Chase laughed as he watched them through a magic ball. "Sooner than you think."
Sam moaned. "Does this count as weird?" She asked. Her eyes had gone completely black except for the whites, and the colour had "loaded" again, slowly travelling around her pupils until her eyes looked normal again.

"James what's wrong with them?" He looked at Sam."are you ok now?" He asked worried.

Sam nodded, holding her head. "I think so... that was really weird." A tingling sensation started in Sams hands. She lifted then up to look at them better, and gasped. Silver-gey lines were covering her finger tips, getting thicker and travelling up her hand by the second. They looked like wires of a circut board.

"Sam are feeling ok now." He whispered to her. "James what's wrong." He asked again afraid for Sam.

Sam stared at her now metal covered arms and whimpered. "What is going on?" She looked to Danny for help. "Can you stop this?"

"James I'm scared." She whispered. "James will you find a way to fix us. Josh some my parents. Anybody please I don't want to be this way."

He nodded. "I know. "He said gently. "Ill try my very hardest?

"James I'm ver scared I don't like this." She lost focus her thoughts were over crowed by thoughts of Chase. She felt like she needed to see him or kiss him again.

He hugged her. "It'll be alright. I promise."

Calla didn't respond. "I have to go see Chase." She said getting up and teleporting to Chase. She bowed down to him.

Chace smiled. "Hullo Calla."
James bit his lip when she left. "So what now?" He asked.

"If we put enough power into her if should stop the circuit and reverse the effects that it has on her. For Calla I don't know" he said looking down at Sam. "It will be ok."

James nodded. "Well im willing to try that. " he put some power into sam and immediately the pain stopped, but the metal she was covered in did not go away.
Sam sighed. "Well this is a start..."

"Um if we could get whatever did this to her out would that work?" He paused. "Magnetic of power wave that can be energy wave which would make the chip come out."

James nodded. "That should work. But wont rhe magnetic force rip all the metal off her body, and not just the chip? That might kill her..."
Sam gulped.

"True hmmmmm wait this aluminum mixed with gold. They aren't magnetic. So we have could do it without hurting her." He pointed out. "What are we going to do about Calla." He asked.

James shrugged. "we'll have to figure that out when we find her I guess. Do you think it might be a little less painful to just cut her chip out?"

"I'm not sure. I mean know telling how far the chip is. It's up to Sam." He said looking at her. "What do you think?"

Sam swallowed hard. Neither of them sounded nice. Both cases the chip would have to rip through her skin to come out. She trusted her body to Danny more than a magnet though, so she said. "Y-you can c-cut it out..." her mouth was dry and she swallowed.
James nodded. "Well thats settled. You're going to want to do that soon..."

Danny didn't like cutting it out. It scared him. He nodded his head. "Maybe James could ah do it. I just don't want to hurt you." He was terrified of doing it. His eyes sparkled with worry.

Jams nodded. "I could do it. Its up to Sam." He said, looking over at her.
Sam trusted Danny, and knowing he would do it was the only thing that calmed her nerves. "Please just do it Danny. I trust you. Besides you're saving me from a lot of pain later on by doing this."
James nodded. "Shes right." He looked around. "We should probably get her set up somewhere before you start cutting, just so that the blood doesnt get all over the place."

He nodded his head and gulped. They took her a place where the blood couldn't get all over. He was shaking a bit. He got a knife. "You can heal her right?" He didn't want anything to go wrong. He was really worried about this.

James nodded. "Probably. Unless the chip injected her with an anti-heal serum. That is rare, but not unheard of. In that case, we would have to stitch her up."
Sam shuddered. She was scared out of her mind, but glad that Danny would be doing it.
James patted a nearby table. "Up you go Sam. Itll only take a couple of minutes." He promised her.
Sam nodded and climbed onto the table, pulling up her legs after her. She lay down on her stomach and crossed her arms in front of her, resting her forehead on them so that the back of her neck was exposed.
James nodded. "Make a small incision first Danny, and then go deeper untill you find the chip. It will probably be quite small, so go slow."

Danny was shaking."yeah go slow." He repeated. He put the knife on her neck. He took deep breaths. He was scared out of his mind. "I'm trying to." He whispered. He was afraid of hurting her beyond the needs of that. He pointed it on her neck with out making a mark. "I don't think can do this." He said looking at her. "I-I'm sorry." He failed her again. He was truly scared to death doing this.

James threw his hands in the air. "Just do it. One of us has to hurt her, wouldn't you rather control what happens, then just watch?"
Sam bit her lip. "Please do it Danny. I dont think I could stay strong if James did." She was trembling slightly now.
James glared at her, and then shrugged. "I mean ill do it man, but she really wants you to."

He nodded his head slightly."I will try to do it." He said with a shaky voice. He started to cut. He saw blood come out. He started to freak out. He tried calming back down but he couldn't. He looked away. He gulped afraid to go any further. He didn't but to disappoint her but he couldn't do it.

James sighed and walked over. "Too scared to even help your own wife?" He shook his head, taking he knife from Danny. "Ill do it, but you are stitching her up. I am no way doing that."
Sam bit her lip. The back of her neck stung where Danny had made a tiny incision. She winced when she felt James press the cold knife against her flesh.
James pressed harder and slid it through, causing Sam to gasp sharply and ball her fists. He dug a little deeper. Sam had tears streaming out of her eyes. James dug even deeper and finally found the chip. He pulled it out using tweezers and put it on the counter. "Ok. Your turn." He said handing Danny an needle and medical thread. "Stitch her up."

He didn't know how to stitch her up. He was shaking. He couldn't do this. He was afraid of the blood and hurting her. And he was hurt that they thought he was afraid. He just took the thread and needle and he saw blood coming out. He couldn't do this either. He squeezed his eyes shut. He started to panic a bit. "I can't do this either." He said with a shaky voice. His eyes were still closed.

James frowned. "Well im not doing it. I can't and I refuse to." James had had a bad experience with stitches as a kid. "You better do it quick before she loses too much blood.
Sam was starting to look very drained. She gasped weakly, still losing a lot of blood.

He did it quickly. "There" he said shaking more. He was deathly afraid of doing that again. He didn't want to do it again. He held back the tears. He hoped she was ok. "Do you need some blood?" He asked Sam. He gulped in fear of being too late.
Sam nodded. "I guess." She shrugged, she was just joking around.
