Once Upon A Time and Lara

Sam struggled against whatever he had used to tie her with. She paused briefly when he said those names again. They were so familiar for some reason... She she snapped to attention again. Realizing that it was no use struggling, she started to cry. "You mean, mean man. Get your hands off me. It's not nice to tie people up." she whimpered, wanting desperately for Chase to come rescue her.

"I'm not a mean mad. I'm Danny" He held her. "Listen Sam I know your in there. The way you pause. Focus on me" he said to her. "Look at me." He said holding her to him.

Sam shook her head. She wasn't going to look at him. He would probably just kiss her. She didn't want to be kissed by a strange man. She shook her head again, looking away. She didn't want to look at him.

He sighed. "Fine have it your way." He pushed away from him. "Go find your little demon,"

Sam wandered away from him, looking up at the sky. "Chase! Chase? Come get me! Please!" Chase didn't answer, and he didn't come. He had already gone off to find new girls to play with. Sam seemed to realize this, and she sank to her knees, hiding her face in her hands and started to sob.

Danny found Sam crying. "I'm sorry for snapping at you Princess."

Sam shook her head, she didn't want to talk to a strange boy right now, not after she had just been abandoned. She tensed up a little though when he said Princess. She kept crying, hunched over in defeat.

He sat down. "It's ok Sam. Chase never love you but I do. I just need you to listen to what I have to say for five minuets."

Sam nodded slowly. She would. She would listen to this strange boy. She didn't know him, or did she? Regardless, his voice was somewhat familiar.

"Your name is Samantha you married me. Your the only girl I ever loved. I know your starlighter and your half vampire. I know I call you Princess and right now I just want you back." He whispered. "I want you back"

Sam frowned. Thoughts were attacking her mind, memories of a life she had forgotten. She moaned softly and held her head, trying to keep them out. She raked her fingers through her hair and held her head down. The memories of her life with Danny were trying to push through, prodding her haze covered mind like stakes.

"Princess please come back. I understand if you don't." He looked down. He was hurt.

Sam fell sideways onto the ground. She didn't know what she wanted. She wanted those memories back, and yet, they were hurting her. "I-I... it hurts..." she said, wincing and groaning again. "The memories, they hurt. They are trying to poke through and it hurts." It was true, they were poking through the fog on her mind.

"I know but it's good." He put her head in his lap. "Look at me I'm right here I wouldn't let anything happen to you." He smiled gently down at her. "It's ok. I'm here." He whispered.

Sam nodded. She let go and stopped fighting, gasping sharply as the memories tore through the fog. Her eyes widened as she remembered everything. Unlike Calla, she remembered everything that had happened with Chase as well. She sat up, stiff, and stared at Danny wide-eyed. Her cheeks burned bright red and she backed up a bit, completely embarrassed. "I-I'm so sorry. I didn't mean... I didn't want... He.... I...." She hid her face in her hands and started to cry all over again, but for an entirely different reason.

"I understand baby." He sat her on his lap. "I know it's not your fault I'm not mad at you." He said rocking her back and forth. "Let's say we go home and make that breakfast I promise for you." He whispered softly. "I know you didn't want to and I know it's not your fault so don't blame yourself over nothing you had control over." He said.

Sam leaned against him, hiding her face against his chest. "Ok." She whispered. "I'll try." She looked up at him, smiling weakly. "That breakfast sounds really nice." She was still so embarrassed and humiliated that a simple kiss could make her act like that.

He smiled and picked her up. "Ok what kind of breakfast." He asked looking down at her. "We could have PBJ or I could try to make eggs and bacon. And maybe I could let you have an expresso."

Sam grinned, brightening considerably. She slung her arms around his neck. "Well the second one sounded very good." She smiled. "Can I really have an espresso?"

"Yes you can one though no more than one." He said. He teleported back to the kitchen. "How do you make eggs?" He asked. He didn't want to mess up breakfast for them.

Sam grinned. She moved in front of him and placed her hands on top of his. Moving his hands gently, she helped him grease a pan and crack a couple of eggs into it. "You're a natural." She said, smiling.

He smiled. "Yes I am." With the help of you he added to himself. "I hope you like your breakfast" he turned around to look down at her.

Sam grinned "I'm sure I will." She heard James' words and scowled. "Hey, we are in no way smaller than you two"
James grinned. "True, but you are less experienced in certain activities." He winked. "Namely... flirting."
Sam blushed beet red, "Hey!"

"That's not flirting." Calla said laughing.
"Then show what 'flirting' is?"
"Fine James please show them an example" she said grinning.

Sam rolled her eyes, "You guys just make out all the time, that's all. There's a difference..."
James shrugged, "Sure, but one usually leads to the other." He smiled.

"How is that flirting?"

Sam rolled her eyes. "It's not."

"Course we could." Sam said, smiling. "It would just take a little practice, maybe." She grinned up at him.

"why would we do something stupid like that."

Sam shrugged, "I don't know... because we could win. But i don't see how we would actually judge it..."

"This is stupid."

Sam shrugged. "Sounds ok to me." She wasn't about to look like a coward by backing down now. She smiled at Danny, "We can do it you know."

Sam nodded. "Deal." She smiled. "Sorry Danny, but we can't look like wimps..." She smiled up at him. "Besides, it'll be fun."

"Yes but I don't think it's right to do this." He said. He thought for a moment. "Fine." He mumbled.
"Good Luck." She said. "You guys are going to need it."

James laughed. "That is the first genuine sarcasm I've heard from you Sam. We might need to step up our game Calla."
Sam grinned. "So, are we starting now then?" I'm sorry Danny if this is something you don't want to do. If so, say so now, and we don't have to do it. I will only do it if it is going to be fun for both of us.

"Stop being mean to Sam and I wouldn't be laughing because your going to lose."
"Let's start." Their drone came over to where they were. Calla rubbed her he and up and down his chest.

Sam rolled her eyes. "Flirting doesn't have to be hard core Danny. We can be sweet too." she whispered softly into his ear. She slipped onto his lap and tipped her head up to look at him. "You're cute when you blush like that Charming." She pointed out, grinning.

Danny laughed. "Broken" he said. "Blushing what I'm not blushing." He said with a smile.

Sam smiled, "Sure you are." She said, looking into his eyes, "Right here..." she kissed one cheek. "And here..." She kissed his other cheek. "And here." She kissed the tip of his nose. "There, see?"

"I'm not." He blushed even more. "Ok maybe a little." He said looking at her.

Sam grinned. "Yes, just a little." Their machine beeped. Intermediate. Sam almost laughed aloud. "Hah!" She kissed Danny full on the lips and then pulled away, somewhat embarrassed.

"That little robot." She was mad at it. Then she remember something about the connection she had with Chase. That would effect the machine would it.
"She doesn't love you."
"Can I blow up because I love James."
"Clam down it's just a robot."

Sam laughed. "You'll need all day. We will still beat you."

"What's wrong with her?" They couldn't hear what the robot was saying to her.

Sam shrugged, "I don't know... Can't deal with losing I guess."
Danny used some magical thread to make her hands not to move. "Listen Sam it will be ok. Princess I'm Danny." He whispered again. "I'm Danny and Chase is gone."
