Loved that book! Have you packed your bags for a trip there yet? It's now on my list of places to visit. I wonder if NZ could replicate it somewhere?

Totally picked this up just because of the cover, mixture of short stories so this should be interesting! It has paintings all through to go with them.

I'm wanting to get into a lot of the Rick Roirdan books and just searched up what was available at the library and thought I'd grab this before I start on all the different series.

Kiwiflora The F Word by Lizzie Marvelly. Reading it to see what makes this young woman tick, being the cynic I am to see if anything has changed in the last 30 years, and because I have daughters in their 20s. Answers so far - she very angry, nothing changed.

message 570: by Marta (new)

Marta (readingbymarts) I started listening to Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer I'm also reading Her Every Fear by Peter Swanson but I'm realising that thrillers are not really for me! However this was recommended to me by my coworker and she lent it to me so I have to finish it ;) And because I usually have three books on my reading list (paper, e-book, audiobook) I'm also reading What Doesn't Kill Us How Freezing Water, Extreme Altitude and Environmental Conditioning will Renew our Lost Evolutionary Strength by Scott Carney - I'm considering DNF-ing as there is not enough science and little bit too much crazy.

Oh I'll have to recommend that Deadpool comic to my partner. He's not a big reader but he' been reading a lot recently - mostly Old Man Logan comics (spinoff of Wolverine I'm told) and really likes them.

I've never read a book like this, so I have no idea if I'm going to like it or not. It's massive but seems heavy on the information so feel like this is going to be a slow read.
