Self Challenge -Jud's back log catch up
Good luck Jud - I have the same theory, I won't necessarily finish all the books that I got initially.
I'm off to a good start... started Iggy's Ravenfold which was released this year and I bought it today... Still trying to finish my Agatha Christies as well as I didn't get them all read last year.

But surely that doesn't count as a back log catch up ;)
I've decided there were a few of the ones left over from my back-log challenge last year that I won't be reading so they have already been deleted from this year's list.
That should keep you busy, Jud! All the best with it!

Gullivers Travels was on my TBR before someone read it in the group and gave it an absolute bashing so I deleted it LOL
Oh really? I might not have started it if I had known that... I thought the whole book was about him on the island with the lilliputians but I have a feeling that only the first part of the book is that and dear knows what the rest is about. It's a lot longer than I expected.
I read Gulliver's thingy a few decades ago and I thought it was good stuff. You have to be careful though, there are some bowdlerized versions about which - apparently - miss out the rude stuff.
After finishing the first part of Gullivers travels I started reading Dracula's Guest for a break and have now finished it. Gulliver hasn't really caught my imagination but I'll give the next chunk a go.
Good luck with the next Gulliver's travel. I had to look up Dracula's guest and ended up with a copy!! I wish I hadn't started the year with a doorstop challenge, I'm not even 30% in yet.
Haven't even managed to touch a book for pleasure this year yet, which is so depressing since I have so many books I want to get my teeth into!
This Uni year will be over before you know it and then you'll have a whole summer to read books you want to read and not ones you have to, Elle
I'll have some time in between these two exams this week and my next one to read for pleasure hopefully plus about 1.5 weeks before semester starts back again. Hopefully can catch up then!
Gulliver's travels is still plodding on, pretty sure I have the rude version since the poor guy has been made to straddle some giant womans nipple.

It's really not worth rereading GL. Unless you loved it the first time round. I'm finding it a bit dry

I'm now half way through Gulliver and I read the first story in Fairy Tales from the Arabian Nights for a break. Might read the next one as well since they are just short stories
I'm finally 82% through Gulliver, I'm finding it a bit odd because I am enjoying it but it's just really hard going. I don't think I would recommend it to anyone.
Not sure how I'll pick the books to read from 2011 as I have hundreds. Will have to form some sort of method. Same for 2012 books (not that I expect to get through them all in the one year).
I just started at the beginning. Only tackled one month tho as there were over 50, I'm only aiming to read 40, and have other challenges too

Just to make things a bit interesting.
I think I'll start of by going through and picking out the ones I want to read and see how many I end up with
I know! I'll have nothing to do from the end of June cause my pal I'm always out with is moving to Washington and I'll have no Phoenix and I'll probably be getting too large to do much other than sit and read.
