Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments I got mine removed at the hospital so they just put me under anesthesia. Didn't feel a thing and it seemed to be only seconds. ^-^

Belle when you go to the book store to get the sequel you've been saving for and it's sold out. Next you order the book online and it's only available in paperback, while the first installment of the series you own is a hardcover, and it arrives completely trashed and ripped.

Thanks amazon, I'll be using thebookdepository from now on.

I'm soooo annoyed right now D: This happened to me yesterday and I'm just going to send back the copy and buy the ebook.

message 362: by [deleted user] (new)

But you know your having a bad daty when all your bookmarks went missing
Or...
When you run out of bookmarks, so you get so mad u forget to put your library book away in your room, so your 14 month old dog finds it, and your mom makes YOU pay for it, but u dont even get an allowance, so you're scared to go to the library, and now you can't get any books to read, so you die of boredom.

Note:these have not happened to me, but ive only had 1 bookmark before

message 363: by Belle (new)

Belle ahh such a dire situation! I sometimes use post-its as bookmarks but it just aint the same...

message 364: by Scarlet (new)

Scarlet Oh my god! I'd hate it if this ever happened to me. Fortunately, I have a bunch of bookmarks, so the chances are quite low :P

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments ...it annoys you that your boyfriend just leaves dirty dishes all over the house. Take it to the sink and rinse it! How hard can it be? I won't wash it unless it's rinsed and in the kitchen. I can make that a rule, right?
Ok, I guess it's just a really bad day, I'm a monster today! Muhahaha!

message 381: by Madelyn (new)

Madelyn Rose | 447 comments You know you are having a bad day when you walk outside with a book. Maybe you wanted to read or maybe you weren't thinking and violently like to protect your books, but it is raining or snowing. Your books get drenched and the pages are all soggy and the colors bleed. And the worst thing is if the page rips and totally tears because of how wet it is. Totally readers problem...

message 386: by Tati (new)

Tati I'm feeling like an awful, awful person...

Yesterday, it was raining pretty heavily, it was night and visibility was awful. I should've stopped somewhere to wait out the rain, but I was so close to home that I decided to push it.

As I was entering a 90º turn, I bumped my car into a woman (ran over seems too strong a word, call it denial or whatever). I immediately stopped the car and got out. She was already on her feet and refused to let me call an ambulance or take her to the hospital or even get her some ice, saying she was fine (a witness also insisted she should go to the hospital, but she still refused). I gave her my phone number and told her to call me if she needed anything.

During the night, she called me, and there was a voice message saying she had a few bruises and wanted to go to the hospital. I only got this message in the morning, when I was already on my way to work... Gosh, I can't stop thinking about it...

Irena BookDustMagic | 1344 comments So I know maybe this isn't a place to post it, but since I feel so unprofessional and stupid, I have to post it somewhere to get it off my cheast.

So I'm blogging only for a couple months now, the blog is doing better then I tought it would and on Friday I sent my first proof copy request, you know how it goes.
Today, the person who I sent that mail to even responded (which, as I've heard, is not a common thing) and said she send it and I was so happy, until I realised I FORGOT to put my freaking country in the address.
Insted, I wrote my hometown two times.

I feel so stupid and ashamed, I don't even know how that happend, I am sure I read that email request at least three times before sending that email.

Now the book's going to get lost in the mail, or in a better case return to the publisher (penguin random FYI) and I will look unprofessional as F... in their eyes.

Can't say I'm sure, but I think I can cross off that publisher, I feel like they will never want to work with me again. :/

Irena, that is such a bummer, but if she is plugging it into their mail system, as long as you have the town and the zip. it will autofill/ correct the rest!

I live in an area that just started growing and it drives me nuts when I have to enter my address and it auto-populates the town over because it only just changed in the last six months. Sometimes my mail arrives with the town Herriman (the town we actually live in.) But usually it is Riverton.

Don't stress. Give it time and keep an eye out for that book!

Irena BookDustMagic | 1344 comments Thanks Heidi.
I didn't know that kind of thing exists, but I hope it will somehow, with some kind of miracle arrive.
If it doesn't, that's a bummer but the good thing is they decided my blog was good enough for them to send me a copy, so that's a good thing.
I always try to look at good things in a situation.
