That sounds bad, is there no hope?

Oh dear ☹

message 454: by Abi (new)

Abi (booksa144) Your mom throws away your Crab Rangoons and then you want leftover cake but there's none left :(

Beagle Lover (Avid Reader) (beaglelover55) You know you're having a bad day when the weather forcast calls for NO rain so you don't bring your umbrella with you on your travels outdoors. AND IT RAINS BUCKETS!!

message 456: by Abi (new)

Abi (booksa144) You mess up when driving and get yelled at. And then you cry and mess up your makeup just in time for your younger brother's piano recital, during which your face is all red and you look like shit.

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments So annoyed right now.

I'm unemployed and have been since February. It's boring AF.

I've applied to so many jobs, it's crazy. Okay, so here's where it gets even more annoying:
I've had some interviews and then they call me to say that they "don't have the time/money" for an employee right now. Why the f*** are you asking me to come by for an interview then?!
I've also had people reply to my email saying that they probably have a job as something similar to what I'm looking for, and would I be interested in that? Yes, yes of course! And then they reply a week later that no, they don't have a job anyway!

Stop wasting my time and get my hopes up! Ugh!
*angry face*

That is quite ridiculous! Why interview for a job if they don't have a job to give in the first place?!

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments Sarah wrote: "That is quite ridiculous! Why interview for a job if they don't have a job to give in the first place?!"

I know! And I even applied for it when they didn't have an ad out, so I thought my chance was pretty good...

I actually use quite a lot of time on applications, but it's starting to feel like I should just give up :( Just one of those days, I guess!
I've already applied for five jobs today.

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90918 comments Mod
Five is quite a lot, hopefully you'll have some luck, are they what you really want to do though?

message 463: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments Thank you Sarah.
Hmm, most of them are, yes. Dream job is at a publisher, but I would have to move to parts of the country that I don't want to live in, so that's probably not gonna happen. So I'm going with the second best option. I can always switch jobs if I don't like them :)

Pinkberry (__sn__) You know you're having a bad day:

When it's 8:59 pm, your favorite TV show at 9:00 pm is about to start and electricity did not return as yet.

message 468: by [deleted user] (new)

You know you're having a bad day:

When you have a ton of homework to do, and you can't fit in time to read

message 469: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90918 comments Mod
that sucks ☹ Homework is never fun ☹

message 470: by Abi (new)

Abi (booksa144) You start three new series (two by the same author) and run out of money at book two. :(

message 471: by [deleted user] (new)

that would be horrible!!!!!!!!!

message 472: by Abi (new)

Abi (booksa144) It is. I have to wait like three weeks to get my allowance. Bleh. Hopefully I'll find some library books to tide me over.

message 473: by [deleted user] (new)

Lucky you, i don't get an allowance because I have 10 siblings, and add all that together and it's a ton of money to take care of

message 474: by Abi (last edited Oct 14, 2017 05:18PM) (new)

Abi (booksa144) Wow, I only have three. Are you the oldest, youngest, or in the middle? I'm the oldest. Sorry on the allowance, btw. :(

message 475: by [deleted user] (new)

Neither, I am the 5th oldest of the 11 including me

message 477: by quq (new)

quq (190511) I have to feed my dogs and cats every day and my one dog is so so needy and expects us to be constantly at his side! And then I have skiing on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and races in Sunday! Argh! Oh and also something called school! I never get like ANY time to read :(

message 478: by Abi (new)

Abi (booksa144) I accidentally deleted all my mobi files (i.e. the ARCs I was reading) on my kindle app when I logged out and logged back in again to try and fix a crashing issue.

Luckily, they came back after a bit (I think a day or two), so it wasn't as much of a disaster as I thought. It was very scary though. Thanks for asking.

My crappy group colleague at university, just submitted raw copy of our report without any editing and even overlining and notes in the text, to grading because he did not feel like editing. I hate Spanish students right now.

message 485: by Abi (new)

Abi (booksa144) Oh no! That sucks! Group projects are the worst. How much will it affect your grade?

I don't know.. I really hope I can talk myself/us out of it and save the day with re-submitting edited work.. D:

message 487: by Abi (new)

Abi (booksa144) Hopefully. If there’s still time you can probably resubmit it. Maybe explain the situation to your professor if it gets really bad and you think they’ll listen?

message 488: by Evelyn (new)

Evelyn | 3 comments Thank you, I will! I hope you are experiencing a better day.
