I'm just not in a good mood today. *angry face*"

I've been in a really bad mood the last couple of days too. Chocolate helps, as does doing your hair all pretty ☺

message 209: by Heather (new)

Heather | 10157 comments When you are having a perfect day but your boyfriend's parents don't let you come over until after lunch and then you get sick during lunch right before they are about to come get you. So then you are stuck at home with your mother whom nobody can get along with and get yelled at for being in my room all the time because I don't feel good.

message 210: by Heather (new)

Heather | 10157 comments Opal what do you think about January?

message 211: by Heather (new)

Heather | 10157 comments okay :)

message 212: by Tati (new)

Tati When it's Monday, your nose is completely blocked up due to allergies, you're having cramps and you have to work.

That sounds bad ☹ Hope you're feeling a bit better soon x

message 214: by Tati (new)

Tati Thanks, Sarah! But I reckon my allergies will land me in my doctor's office

message 215: by Heather (new)

Heather | 10157 comments When you feel sick all night and you wake up with a high temperature and your stomach and back hurting so bad you feel like you are dying but, your mom forces you to go to school.

message 216: by Tati (new)

Tati My mom was exactly the same, Heather. I never got a fever high enough to skip school, so she would just give me some Tylenol and take me to school, saying that if I got worse (died, she meant LOL), I could call her (she worked two hours away...)

Anyway, hope you feel better soon!

Thanks lol I can only take tylenol because I have a stomach ulcer and it doesn't seem to help at all needless to say I am hoping I puke so she changes her mind.

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments You Know You're Having a Bad Day When.... today is you're last grandparents funeral. D:

message 219: by Tati (new)

Tati My mom graduated as a pharmacist and biochemist, so she knew what to give us for what... Tylenol was her drug of choice for fevers. If we threw up, though, that could have been a stay home card. Of course, we only threw up on weekends and were perfectly fine on Monday

I only got to have a day off school if i was admitted to hospital. otherwise I got dragged there.

message 224: by Tati (new)

Tati What really annoyed me was that she wouldn't let me skip school when I was sick, because I had to save my absences for when I got sick (I was like, really, mom? Really? You mean sick, like now, or another kind of sick? LOL)

(in Brazil, if you are absent for over 25% of classes, you automatically fail)

My mum just wanted us all to have 100% attendance.

message 226: by Tati (new)

Tati Yeah, I got 100% attendance as well. I think the lowest I ever got was *gasp* 97%... This is something I'm doing differently if I ever have a child

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments My parents were nothing like that - or I was good at faking... :P

Sometimes you need to give a child chance to have a rest and get over whatever illness they've got, before you send them back to school to pick up something else!

And before they infect the other kids as well :)

That's just it, they all pass it around among themselves! Drives me nuts when people send their kids to pre-school and they're actually really sick (chicken pox) because all the other kids catch it.
