Audrie Encarnacion When I have found the truth about Adam Kent. I am shattered, actually. I don't know why Adam thinks of Juliette like that. I mean, no offense to Team Adam's. But WTF. He is totally discourage her. All the way. I know that he was trying to protect her. But how long could you protect a person that you wouldn't even try to believe on him/her. It's really a buzz kill. And I think Juliette would stay away from him. For her own good. Be with someone that doesn't weighing you down. And clearly from the Fracture Me, Adam had revealed himself that he has like no priority on Juliette Ferrar. Don't know what I mean? Re-read the novella again... I'm Team Warner, by the way. From the very start.

But I am very intrigue between the Anderson brothers. I can see clearly that they have very different aspect from each other. It's soo amazing! I can't wait for Ignite Me.

Jane I feel the same. Adam was just treating her like a child and thinking she wasn't capable of anything throughout the entire book. I think it was made obvious that he doesn't really care ABOUT her he just wants to have her.

Rebekah That's true Ashley. I felt the same way. He treated her like she was some kind of prize for a while, but Warner knows her on a much deeper level, like he said in Destroy Me "But if it were a simple sexual attraction it would not be this hard. But oh, i wanted so much more than her body." Boom.

Marie I like this series a lot but I have a lot of issues with how the author wrotte Warner and Adam after the first book. To me, in the first book Warner was nothing but a creepy guy and Adam was a nice guy but lacked personality and after Shatter me, I feel like the author spend a lot of efforts trying to make the readers like Warner, giving him depth and qualities and spend a lot of efforts ''destroying'' Adam to make Warner the better man because she didn't know how to with him. When I read Unravel me, Fracture me (and a little bit of Ignite me), it's almost like we're supposed to forget and forgive everything Warner did in the first book. Now, he always do the right thing, always say the right thing and he's s so ''totured'' but in the end, he always way what the readers want him to say (at least, what I want him to say). As for Adam, it's the opposite. TM put a twisted twist to everything nice he did in Shatter me and now and almost everything he does is flawed.

That being said, I haven't finished Ignite me so my opinion can still change. I just wished it would have the ''fight'' for Juliet would have been more equitable. Don't met me wrong, I want Juliet to end up with Warner, it's just that after that in Unravel me, Fracture me and Igite me, Warner and Adam feel like different characters from the ones I met in Shatter me.

cc I don't think she changed them, I think she just gave the background into why they made the decisions they did.

Jane Yes I am curious how it will all play out. I can't wait to get my hands on the book but I'm a bit nervous as well... I agree with you Marie - I think she (Mafi) really wrote Fracture Me to demonize Adam so there really wasn't a choice. It's not really a true "love triangle" the Author's decision has been made clear I think since the book from Warner's POV.

Rebekah Oh Ignite Me was AMAZING and you will LOVE IT

Just read my review and you'll understand :)

message 58: by Jane (last edited Feb 05, 2014 01:44PM) (new) - rated it 2 stars

Jane LOL glad you were happy with it... I hate buying books though because I read them so quickly and this one won't be available at the library for a while ;) Maybe I will give in and just buy it, we'll see!

Rebekah Oh no this one I had to buy. I read it over and over :)

Leahxx I AM HOLDING OUT SO HARD BECAUSE ADAM HAS JUST BEEN BROKEN AND BEATEN OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I hate how he's portrayed in Ignite Me and I think it's a shite book, but I do love Warner with my whole heart. I think I am still holding on to the Adam from the first book because that Adam took my heart and ran with it and I want him back, so yes. I still support Adam whole heartedly. And I don't like Juliette' character anyway, so regardless of whether he chose Adam or Warner I still wouldn't like her, so my choice to still love Adam has nothing to do with her at all

Rebekah I don't really like how he was portrayed in Ignite Me (Adam) but I do feel like he was better in the first book. while the others got better and progressed he really went downhill

Marie I read a review on another website that said this: I feel like my "team" won by cheating. The author had to make one character look really bad so that the reader would be okay with who Juliette picked and that's pretty much how I feel. I haven't finished the book yet but so far I Seriously, I can't deel with the joke that Adam has become. Yes, sometimes people aren't as nice and kind as they appear to be but I'm sorry. The Adam from this book is not the same as the one from Shatter me. Everytime he appears I feel like I'm reading a parody of Dawson's creek love triangle(Pacey, Joey and Dawson). And Adam is Dawson. And I'm sorry but Shatter me's Adam was not a Dawson! Okay, he wasn't that inresting and he clearly wasn't a Pacey and I would have been okay with him becoming a flawed character but I'm not okay with him becoming a big joke.

And yes, I rewatched Dawson's creek third season last week....

I don't want to wait..

Jamie I completely agree with you, Marie.

Rebekah Marie wrote: "I read a review on another website that said this: I feel like my "team" won by cheating. The author had to make one character look really bad so that the reader would be okay with who Juliette pic..."

That was exactly how I felt. It was kind of like "well, apparently Adam is a complete butthole now so Juliette is guilt free in choosing Warner. Okay sure that's cool?"

Jane Summed it up perfectly Marie

Addee I love Adam in the whole series. I ship Adam & Kenji.

Öykü Rebekah wrote: "Especially this one!"

the ship name is "kerrars"

Faye :) I dont hate Adam. Im still with him. Though I admit, Warner is really way better.

message 70: by Hayley (new)

Hayley I personally can't choose. I love the connection and desire between Warner and Juliette, but I can't give up the thought of Adam and Juliette having a relationship. I love the way Warner is obsessed with Juliette, but every time I hear his name I just think of him as a cold and ruthless murderer. I remind myself of his good times like in Unravel Me when he fed that poor homeless dog, but I'm still confused on whos side to go on. I think if Warner dealt with his demons and revealed more of the good person he is, I think him and Juliette are great for each other.

message 71: by Julia (new) - added it

Julia I personally ship Juliette and Warner. They understand each other and he gives her space. Her relationship with Adam seemed toxic from the very beginning and while their motivations are understandable (Adam longs for the girl he thinks she was/is and she craves comfort), they would sooner than later have to realize that those are not up to reality. As for Warner not appearing like the good guy, he has his reasons as well, but I‘m impressed with his ability to play the game so perfectly in order to reach his goals. Adam is not a hero and if the situation was otherwise he never would have become a soldier. He isn’t the type to do so and therefore I understand that he‘s just trying to deal with the trauma that his life has caused him. He might not be nice, but he‘s trying to do what he can for those he loves while searching for a little bit of peace that he can hold on to.

message 72: by Ha (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ha I don't hate Adam but i am definitely team Warner.
Also looks like I am the only one who rate this book five stars lol

message 73: by Sam (new) - rated it 3 stars

Sam I always thought Adam was a little sketchy in the beginning of Shatter Me. I did like him a little bit at some point, but I always thought that Warner had deeper feelings to Juliette and a real connection to her. Can't wait to see how the "Warner and Juliette" romance progresses!!

Brooke Chase I HATED Adam from the beginning he is so basic and predictable. He is like every other boy in every other ya novel. In fact I would probably rather see Juliette with Kenji than Adam. Warner Forever

Genevieve Newton Warner Lowkey kinda scares me.

message 76: by [deleted user] (new)

I think it was clear from the beginning of Unravel Me that something was off with Adam and Juliette; it kind of reminded me about the start of A Court of Wings and Ruin where it's clear that the relationship between Tamlin and Feyre was falling apart. After Destroy Me I knew that I was on team Warner. As the series went on there were lots of revelations about Warner's family and the emotional trauma he had experienced that meant he was able to relate to Juliette's pain.

When comparing Warner's entry in destroy me to Adam's in Fracture Me, it is obvious that Warner has a deep understanding of Juliette and what she is capable of. He never once doubted her abilities and always treated her as his equal, whereas Adam thought that she was wasn't capable of protecting herself and needed him to do it for her. He massively underestimated her and how strong she could be - both physically and mentally.

I think that Adam was in love with the idea of loving Juliette, the girl from school who had a kind heart in a cruel society, but Warner truly loved the girl he knew would change the world.
