I started reading Annabel which will be included in my left over stew challenge, originally from the Cross Canada challenge. It's set in Newfoundland and is about a baby born with both genitalia, yet raised as a boy.I'll be starting City of Thieves on audiobook sometime today for our group read.
I am readinClark, Mary Jane That Old Black Magic cause it just c came ;out
Garwood, Lisa Fear Nothing sme reason
MacDonald, John D. The Scarlet Ruse trying to finishe the series
Barron, Rodriguez, Sandra Stay With Me cause she lives in m;y town
Giff, Patricia Reilly Winter Sky blue new bok by Ct author
Tappley, Wimmiam G. Outwitting Trolls cuase I read one of his books and liked it
I finished reading P&P. Knowing that a lot of the pronouncements should be taken ironically, and that it's a critique of marriage (not a love story) has massively shifted how I read this and what i got out of it. It now makes a load more sense than it ever has before.
I will start Hexed tonight. Then I have The Secret Speech and my next chunkster Rouge de Paris. On the audio side, I am almost done with Night Film and have Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers next.
I am listening to City of Thieves for the group read. I am reading The Road from Coorain for my Around the World challenge and I am reading Breakfast at Tiffany's for my chunkster challenge (part of my #2 group in Slick's Slugs).
Esther wrote: " .... have Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers next. ..."I have read Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers can be grisly at times but in a fascinating way! Plenty of humor.
The book actually swayed my decision to donate my body to the University of Michigan medical program, upon my death!
Almeta's Review of Stiff
I haven't really been reading much - had a super bowl party yesterday - what a dismal game - and my books suffered from this but I am beginning A Dual Inheritance by Joanna Hershon today for my f2f book group and The Summer Garden by Paullina Simon, my next Chunkster book. I continue to listen to Rob Lowe's book and on Feb. 8th I will be reading Sandrine's Case for the Toppler Challenge for the Team Eyes Down group.
Roz wrote: "I'm starting Sharp Objects just because I've read Flynn's other books."I hope you like it. I thought it was really good!
I finished Giovanni's Room which I really enjoyed and rated 5 stars. Here is my short review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...I am now starting The Sunne in Splendour - A Novel of Richard III] which is for the Chunkster challenge and also for a buddy read.
Esther wrote: "On the audio side, I am almost done with Night Film and have Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers next. "I also thoroughly enjoyed reading Stiff. Hope you do, too!
Debra wrote: "I'm now readingHunted for this month's challenge. Plenty of action and weapons galore."I just finish Hexed, and this series is fun. It's pure entertainment.
Currently reading:
Within a Budding Grove by Marcel Proust on my iPod for my Chunkster. 40% done
The Paris Wife by Paula McLainon my iPod for another challenge. 40% done
Friend of My Youth by Alice Munro on my Kindle for another challenge. 1 of 10 stories readPlanned before the February Toppler:
by Jean Plaidy on Kindle for another challenge.
The Stolen Crown: The Secret Marriage that Forever Changed the Fate of England by Susan Higginbotham on Kindle for a TBR Twin read on another group.
The Poisoned Pilgrim by Oliver Pötzsch for iPod for my Chunkster.
by Alice Munro on Kindle for another challenge. That takes me up to the 15th and Team Gold's Toppler reading!
Its is either snowing again or snowed during the night and I am once again housebound or at least until the plow come through. I think that today I will devote to ploughing through my almost 800 page chunkster book and hopefully finishing it quickly. Doesn't look like winter is finished with us quite yet as we are anticipating a huge storm over the weekend.

Yes, with lots of action and suspense, too!

I'm waiting for summer to come for the next installment of this series .Hunted was quite different than the previous books and def suspenseful
I need to get on and start the series. I'm itching to read Hounded - desperately trying not to start another series (or buy anymore books) for at least a couple months! We'll see how that goes!
Travis, you are right. Very suspenseful and action-packed. I'm sure I'll be panting, like Oberon, for the next book in the series.Sarah, can't you get the series from your library? If not, I'm pretty sure you will like the series enough to not regret buying the books.
I was just checking the library for it and then came back to see your post Debra! It's not really the money - the kindle version is only £3.99 but I have over 100 books on my kindle which I have bought and not read yet! Hello, My name is Sarah and I'm a book addict!
Sarah wrote: "I was just checking the library for it and then came back to see your post Debra! That is true. I do have a book shelf full too but there is a higher percentage of those which I've read.
Although there are 2 or 3 short stories for iron druid on my kindle I keep forgetting to read Two Ravens and One Crow and The Grimoire of the Lamb

Last I checked I had over 1,000 books on my I PAD. I was actually thinking about reading solely from there - no library stops or reserves - but I imagine I would continue to download soooooooo
Sarah wrote: "That is true. The closet was in my husband's office and was shelved half for my books, half for Bruce's business stuff in addition to file cabinets, etc.
Fast forward 2 years ago when we moved back to our original area and found much to my happiness, that the closet in my office was already shelved and accommodates my smaller collection of To Be Reads. I can't remember the last time I bought a book, book.
I'm going to read it soon too, Michelle. Just have to finish my current chunkster and the monthly read and challenge. Enjoy!
After recently buying Hounded I've decided to get started reading it too. I need something fun, quick and easy to read while tackling my chunkster and the group read which are both serious.
Marnie wrote: "I'm listening to Hounded now too so far I like it."I've got the print version. I'm looking forward to it!
I am reading the series Song of Ice and Fire by Gerge RR Martin. Just finished the third book. A colleague at work has convinced me that I need to read more fantasy novels. Finshed the Percy Jackson series and Artemis Fowl in December last year.
I'm currently reading the book Radiant. I just want to finish this series since it has 3 books and 2 novellas.
I finished Cocaine Blues. If I continue on with the series, it will be in print format.I started Clockwork Angel on audiobook, mainly because I needed something to fill in the gap between now and the toppler. Besides I have 12 hours behind the wheel this weekend. It should keep me well entertained.
Marnie and Sarah, hope you enjoy Hounded!I'm currently reading The Goldfinch for a group read and the chunkster challenge and am hoping I will finish it before the Toppler. It is really engrossing, but very long!

What was the format for Cocaine Blues, Janice? I read a lot of books on my Kindle but there are others that I just need to hold in my hand and turn real pages.
I just finished Sharp Objects. I've enjoyed the other Flynn books but I found this one quite disturbing. Everyone was so completely damaged. I realized later that this was her debut. She improved her style in her later books.
Roz, I listened to Cocaine Blues on audiobook and really disliked the narrator. She got all the accents wrong. Instead of an Aussie accent, she gave the guys Cockney accents. She mashed the French up so badly, it grated on my nerves. Unfortunately, she narrates the rest of the series, so I will read them on ebook or paperback. Ha! So much for me saying that I can overlook the narrator. The narrators of the last two audiobooks I listened to detracted from the story. So far, I'm really enjoying Clockwork Angel.
Debra wrote: "Marnie and Sarah, hope you enjoy Hounded!Debra- I liked Hounded( gave it 4 stars). I listened to this book and Oberon sounded like a horny Elmo- which cracked me up.
I have started Tangled for another group's read and am listening to I Shall Be Near to You: A Novel just because.
Janice wrote: "Roz, I listened to Cocaine Blues on audiobook and really disliked the narrator. She got all the accents wrong. Instead of an Aussie accent, she gave the guys Cockney accents. They could be reasonably confused, but it didn't have one. Was it Bert and Ces who sounded cockney? Because as far as I'm concerned they should be so Aussie it hurts.
Dammit, I just remembered I need to do badges.
Currently reading
NOS4A2 - Joe Hill, for the horrors best books challenge, and also for my own personal 2014 to-read list.

The interesting thing is that the narrator was Australian! Apparently, she died recently.
LOL! I was wondering about the badges.
I have read these. Haven't written any reviews yet. Too busy pondering the BINGO Toppler!☻BUT I do highly recommend ( 5 star) Child 44 AND my 4 star (I may change to a 5 star) read The Tooth Fairy.
