I didn't even bother to list the In Death series or the Stephanie Plum series - both are insanely, ridiculously long. LOLBut I am adding more that I HAVE forgotten. This is tough!

There are things there that I haven't even started yet! So I have a problem deciding where to shelve them...
Wicked? Have books 1 & 2.
The Cat Who? There's like a million of those (read most of them) but I was in the middle of collecting them when I stopped.
Mistborn? Even hubby has read that and I haven't.
JD Robb? Started collecting them but have never read a single one. I hear there are 38+ books. That is...scary.
The Lee Child books are hubby's. I've not read any of those and he reads them out of order. O_O
I *think* there's one or two Fiest books and a Stein book. But I'm no longer sure.

Do I have any of the Plum books?
I'm wondering if I should give Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West another try. I got emotionally involved. *Warning (view spoiler)
I put it down and didn't look back.

How far in the book did you get?
I read this awhile back. I sort of pushed myself into finishing it. Started off good, but then it got all weird and I didn't like it all that much. I prefer the musical.
I've tried reading other Maguire books, but I think his brand of story telling is just not for me.

^this
He's right"
LOL!
I liked Wicked, actually more than The Wizard of Oz (the movie anyway, I've yet to read it), but it did get a bit weird in the middle. I didn't really mind the things that you said though, Nyssa, because to me, it was so separate from Wizard of Oz that I kind of think of them as two different things. There's very little bleedover for me. If that makes sense.
Then again, I've never been a huge Wizard of Oz fan either. I like the movie, but it's not a favorite.
Though, in response to your spoiler: (view spoiler)
5 Reasons The Greatest Movie Villain Ever is a 'Good' Witch: http://www.cracked.com/article_18881_...
I haven't read Oz...I've only seen the movie and my reaction was based off of that. The Wicked Witch was certainly very wicked in the movie. As for Glinda, I never really gave her a second thought (movie wise) she was just there, but Glinda in the book isn't nice at all.
I think I'll have to give it a second chance and, as you two suggested, keep them separate.
I also have The Complete Oz in ebook format and may get to them one day.

Finished Series Credits Used:
*Note: Additional restriction - New series can only be started if I have credits accrued AND I've finished all available books in a series I'm currently working on, except if the new series book is for a group read selection. (This is to prevent me from starting a ton more series and failing to finish them.)
Notes and exceptions:
- DNF books/series: I'll count points for each book read, and 50% of points for DNF book. NO series completion bonus unless at least 50% of series read.
- Non-FOF group read series starts: Will count as half non-group read penalty. (-5 points)
® = Group Read selection.

Scoring chart (For my own reference):
1. Complete your monthly goal = 50 points.
If your goal is one series book/month, you will get this 50 upon completion of that book.
2. Read any book in a series that isn't the 1st = 10 points.
3. Re-read the first book in a series = 10 points.
4. Read the 1st book in a new series = -10 points.
This penalty is waved when using an earned credit. Books chosen for FoF group reads are exempt from this penalty and may be read without using a credit.
5. Read the 1st book in a new series after monthly goal is reached = 10 points.
This simply cancels out the penalty from starting a new series, since you earned the right to do so.
6. Write a review of your series book = 25 points.
7. Complete a small series (3-4 books) = 20 points.
8. Complete a large series (5-9 books) = 30 points.
9. Complete a huuuge series (10 or more books) = 40 points.
10. Complete a book and its sequel (2 book series) = 10 points.
11. Begin a sub-series = 10 points.
Sub-series will be discussed below
12. Complete a sub-series (2 or more books) = 20 points.
13. Complete a big series that has 2 or more sub-series = 20 points.
14. Read a stand-alone that takes place in the same world as the main series = 10 points.
