I had no idea what defined an indie author, but I found this as Alli:Being an independent author is an approach to writing and publishing, a matter of self-definition.Does Cherise Sinclair still apply?
If you see yourself as the creative director of your books, from concept to completion and beyond, then you're indie. And you make partnerships that help you deliver the best possible book to the most possible readers, trade publishers included.
My understanding of the indie author is self-published author, which I know Cherise Sinclair is not. Your definition probably makes her, but I'm not completely sure :P
I don't know either, Gea. Was she self-published at first?
I don't think so, as all of her books were published by Loose Id and this one was published in 2009 - I don't know any indie author from that time and Club Shadowlands is typical Loose Id book
