Breann | 398 comments Hi Apilif! You have me picking for you again :) I didn't include any M/F books in my recs since you mostly have M/M on your shelves. I hope that's okay.

message 67: by ⚜️XAR (new)

⚜️XAR the Bookwyrm (xar-the-bookwyrm) Ok, Sassafrass, I hope you like the choices I've given you. Please let me know if I need to re-pick for you!

1. Lose Weight: Hot Pursuit (from your Read This Next shelf)

2. Get in Shape: I noticed you like erotica so when I saw this rule, I immediately thought of Bodywork.

3. Save Money: Light Me Up (from your Read This Next shelf) I have the Anthology book, A Very Naughty Xmas, on Kindle, that this story is from and would be happy to loan it to you!

4. Eat Better: The Summer of Cotton Candy has both food on the cover and the main character is involved in food service. Be forewarned though, it is YA christian romance, so its more of a sweet read than anything else.

5. Travel: I didn't see a country listed for you, so I chose to go off world for this choice-The Queen's Consorts (from your Read This Next shelf)

6. Spend Time with Family and Friends: I know Christmas will be over when you get to read this but one of the books that comes to mind when I saw this guideline was Kissing Under the Mistletoe. The series deals with a family of four brothers and it's on sale today only for Kindle for $1.99.

7. Enjoy Life More: This may be a bit out of your comfort zone, as it is Christian Romantic Fiction, but I thought it was quite good-Danger in the Shadows

8. Get Organized: The Auction (from your Read This Next shelf, was the earliest book on there)

Happy Reading!!

message 70: by Shelby (last edited Dec 22, 2013 07:12PM) (new)

Shelby (stang_lee) | 1970 comments Hi Christina!!! Ok so I hope I got some good ones in here for you. I had to really rack my brain as it's been awhile since I've read much new M/F. But I tried to vary your picks with a bunch of different options and at least some variety in genre. :D Have fun!

Ok decided to add a second pick for each category at the last minute, so I'm editing this post...

1. Lose Weight:
O'Hurley's Return (TBR) - I loved this series when I read it years ago. All of them were really good.
Daughter of the Blood (New) - One of my absolute favorites. I've re-read this soooo many times

O'Hurley's Return (O'Hurleys, #3 - 4) by Nora Roberts Daughter of the Blood (The Black Jewels, #1) by Anne Bishop
2. Get in Shape:
Lover Revealed (TBR) - Ok this one might be a bit of a stretch, but all the brothers are in the gym often, they have to be, and Marissa is probably the most figure/image conscious of the shelans.
Nightkeepers (New) - Been awhile with this one in particular, but they spent a lot of time outside throughout the series so I figure it counts.

Lover Revealed (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #4) by J.R. Ward Nightkeepers (Nightkeepers, #1) by Jessica Andersen
3. Save Money:
The Student Prince (New) - Ok, a little explanation here...it doesn't appear you read any M/M, and if you are trying to complete all your reads I'll pick something else for you if this offends you or you absolutely hate the idea. The last thing I want to do is bother/offend someone who just doesn't like the same sorts of things I do. But, it's a two part thing, I haven't really read any free M/F and don't have much really lendable that I remember either, though there's probably some on my kindle. Also this book is SOOOOOO ADORABLE! One of my all time favorite books! It's a free book and one of the most brilliant takes on the Arthur/Merlin mythology I've ever read. I figured it was worth the risk to recommend it, but if you want another pick I will absolutely do it.
Her Mad Hatter (New) - So this is one I have lendable on Kindle, I double checked. It is M/F, but it is more erotica than romance. Still I really enjoyed the take on the fairy-tales.

The Student Prince by FayJay Her Mad Hatter (Kingdom, #1) by Marie Hall
4. Eat Better:
Trust Me (New) - Wow, couldn't believe I didn't see any Krentz on your shelves. :D I really enjoyed her books.
Summer Desserts (Great Chefs, #1) (TBR) - Nora's always safe. :)

Trust Me by Jayne Ann Krentz Summer Desserts (Great Chefs, #1) (Language of Love, #23 - Dahlia) by Nora Roberts
5. Travel:
The Darkest Night (TBR) - One of my ALL TIME FAVORITE series'!
The Bride (TBR) - Thought I'd throw in a little historical here.

The Darkest Night (Lords of the Underworld, #1) by Gena Showalter The Bride (Lairds' Fiancées, #1) by Julie Garwood
6. Spend Time with Family and Friends:
Shadow Game (New) - Another new paranormal author for you. This my favorite of her series', but I've enjoyed them all.
A Hunger Like No Other or The Warlord Wants Forever (TBR) - Most copies of Hunger have Warlord in the front if I remember correctly, but I absolutely refuse to read things out of order so if it's not there I say read Warlord first.

Shadow Game (GhostWalkers, #1) by Christine Feehan A Hunger Like No Other (Immortals After Dark, #2) by Kresley Cole or The Warlord Wants Forever (Immortals After Dark, #1) by Kresley Cole
7. Enjoy Life More:
Memory's Wake (New) - I had to dig a bit to find something recent that I'd read that wasn't M/M, but this was one of the best YA fantasy's I've read recently. I saw a few on your shelves and thought you might enjoy it.
Into the Mist (New) - I remember enjoying this one and it came up more recently than most M/F books. ;)

Memory's Wake (Memory's Wake Trilogy, #1) by Selina Fenech Into the Mist (Falcon Mercenary Group, #1) by Maya Banks
8. Get Organized:
City of Bones (TBR) - Loved this series!
Styxx (TBR) - It's still on my TBR as well. Keep meaning to go get this one, but I stopped buying Kenyon in hardback and I just haven't gotten a chance. Asked for it for Xmas though. ;)

City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1) by Cassandra Clare Styxx (Dark-Hunter, #22) by Sherrilyn Kenyon

5. Travel: Anna and the French Kiss: Paris, anyone? [TBR]

6. Family and Friends: Life Lessons: The beginning of a wonderful series about family. [New to You]

message 79: by MountainKat, Moderator (new)

MountainKat | 31599 comments Hi Isa! Here are your picks! I hope I found some good ones for you!

1. Lose Weight: I found these two 'weighty' books on your to-read shelf. First, Gabriel's Redemption by Sylvain Reynard - you rated the first two 5 Stars, you know you want to read this one too! Second, Falling Into You - looks intriguing!

2. Get in Shape: I found two on your shelves and one new one for you for this resolution. Going Down by Shelli Stevens (TBR) - I liked this series, but they were too short (I wanted more!) The Perfect Play by Jaci Burton (TBR) - he's a football player and isn't he purdy! New for you, Sno Ho by Ethan Day (NEW) - this one has a former Olympic skier who doesn't like junk food. I thought it was cute.

3. Save Money: I have several Kindle books I could lend you, but I'm not sure if I can loan books to someone in the UK. I can look further into that if you want. But for now, two books with money as a factor in the story - Bared to You by Sylvia Day (NEW) and Down London Road by Samantha Young (TBR). You gave On Dublin Street 5 Stars, so did I and Down London Road was also a 5 Star read for me. I liked Bared to You too. Also, Beauty Touched the Beast by Skye Warren (NEW) is free at Amazon here in the US, I thought it was good so it might be worth seeing if it is free for you too!

4. Eat Better: I have several new ones for you here. First, Hot in Here by Sophie Renwick - this one was a lot of fun, and pretty steamy too! Or maybe this new one is more to your liking, A Taste of Love by Andrew Grey? And one more, Long Hard Ride by Lorelei James (NEW) - they may ride the rodeo, but the family business is ranching. This isn't my favorite in the series, but I did like it!

5. Travel: I have three more new ones for you here - I loved them all! The first two are short, but pack a powerful punch - Shaken by Dee Tenorio and Do Over by Mari Carr. Both were five stars for me and set in the US. Set in the future, also the US and 4 stars for me, Naked in Death by J.D. Robb. Roarke is soooo yummy!

6. Spend Time with Family: All of these stories have strong friendships and I think you will like them. First two new ones - Sweet Surrender by Maya Banks and Surrender by Lora Leigh. Or from your shelves, The Dom Who Loved Me by Lexi Blake.

7. Enjoy Life More: My most recent five star reads are in series you haven't started. You have the first book in each of them on your shelves though, so I am going to pick those for you - Cut & Run by Madeleine Urban and Abigail Roux and Extreme Exposure by Pamela Clare. Both are very, very good! I have one I anticipate is going to be another 5 stars for me coming out the first of the month, so I am going to pick the first one in that series too - The Darkest Hour by Maya Banks. I really loved that one, but it is very emotional.

8. Get Organized: I found two I really enjoyed on your TBR, you might enjoy them too. Not that they have been there overly long that I can tell, you are pretty new to GR, but they have been there from the start! First, An On Dublin Street Christmas by Samantha Young - sweet addition to On Dublin Street. And second, Backstage Pass by Olivia Cunning - definitely some steam here!

I hope you can find something you like out of all of these, I tend to get a little out of control with this challenge. It is so easy to recommend some of my favorites so others can love them too!

Happy Reading and Happy Holidays!!

I'm a bit tired but I wanted to get your picks up now, otherwise I won't be able to get to it until the deadline. So I'll make this short and sweet…

1. Lose Weight:
Shadow of Night, not as good as the first but worth the read.
A Red-Tainted Silence, very angsty

2. Get in Shape:
Hounded, the MC is very in tune with the Earth so a lot takes place outdoors
Hot Head, hottie firemen always in shape.

3. Save Money: Two very good reads I can loan you in epub format
Zero at the Bone
Angelfall

4. Eat Better:
Warrior's Cross, hot alpha male
Blood Brothers , I see you enjoy Nora as I do :)

5. Travel:
Archangel's Storm, India
Warprize, A great fantasy set in a fantasy country

6. Spend Time w/ Family & Friends:
Magic Rises, a 5-star installment in the series
Lover Avenged, don't let Lover Enshrined turn you off from this series. It gets much better.

7. Enjoy Life More:
Rock Chick, a sexy, funny read.
Eternal Rider, a spinoff from the Demonica series so you may want to start with Pleasure Unbound but it's not necessary.

8. Get Organized:
Frost Burned, time for you to get back to our feisty Mercy

Shadow of Night (All Souls Trilogy, #2) by Deborah Harkness A Red-Tainted Silence by Carolyn Gray Hounded (The Iron Druid Chronicles, #1) by Kevin Hearne Hot Head (Head, #1) by Damon Suede Zero at the Bone (Zero at the Bone, #1) by Jane Seville Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, #1) by Susan Ee Warrior's Cross by Madeleine Urban Blood Brothers (Sign of Seven, #1) by Nora Roberts Archangel's Storm (Guild Hunter, #5) by Nalini Singh Warprize (Chronicles of the Warlands, #1) by Elizabeth Vaughan Magic Rises (Kate Daniels, #6) by Ilona Andrews Lover Avenged (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #7) by J.R. Ward Rock Chick (Rock Chick, #1) by Kristen Ashley Eternal Rider (Lords of Deliverance, #1) by Larissa Ione Frost Burned (Mercy Thompson, #7) by Patricia Briggs

I hope you find something you'll enjoy. Happy Reading!

message 83: by ~KarenH~, Moderator (new)

~KarenH~ | 11348 comments Hi Penney! I enjoyed going through your shelves…we had a decent amount in common, but you also had quite a bit that was new to me. Here are your picks – I tried to come up with an equal mix of from your PIFM shelf and new to you, but didn’t quite make it...pretty close, though! :D

1. Lose Weight: Here are three of the longer titles from your PIFM shelf…I haven’t read any of them, but figured I was safe since they’re on that shelf! The Wise Man's Fear, Killing Floor, or Rock Chick Rescue.

2. Get in Shape: Out Of Her League is about an Olympic softball player – first book in the series, not my favorite of the series, but still enjoyable. OR Slow Ride – on your wishlist rather than your PIFM shelf, I love this series!

3. Save Money: Several choices here…The Governess Affair from your PIFM shelf is an Amazon freebie. New to you, Beauty Touched the Beast is also free at Amazon right now, or a couple that are lendable at Amazon: Sidecar, which I have and would be happy to loan you, or Shaken (absolutely amazing story)…I don’t have this one available to lend, but I know someone who does if you would like to borrow it.

4. Eat Better: From your shelf, Irresistible, or new to you, A Taste of Love…both enjoyable love stories set in the restaurant business.

5. Travel: You don’t have your location listed, so I had to go with mine, and picked 2 books set in different countries, neither of them the US: From your shelf, Untamed (set in Scotland), or new to you, Guarding Suzannah (set in Canada)

6. Spend Time with Family and Friends: From you shelf, From This Moment On. OR, you’ve started the Kowalski series, but never moved past the first book…how about continuing with Undeniably Yours?

7. Enjoy Life More: Christmas with Danny Fit – I just finished this a couple of weeks ago, and loved it! And one that I read farther back, but definitely deserves is Surrender. I’ll be listening to Surrender next month now that it’s been released in audio with the wonderful Kaleo Griffith narrating, if you’re interested in a buddy read.

8. Get Organized: A couple of books from your PIFM shelf that I thoroughly enjoyed and that have been on your TBR for over 2 years are Hotter Than Wildfire and Mr. Perfect.

I hope I came up with some picks that you’ll enjoy…Happy Reading!

Brett | 478 comments Hello Joyce!

1. Lose Weight: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix-From your TBR. This one was one of my favorites in the series

2. Get in Shape: Ride with Me- This one is new to you. It's set just about all outdoors.

3. Save Money:Born of Fire- If I remember correctly the heroine in this had some money issues and it's off your TBR.

4. Eat Better: The Kitchen Witch- Another from your TBR

5. Travel: On the Island- New to you. This book might actually turn you off from traveling at first, but it is really good!

6. Spend Time with Family and Friends: Kiss of Midnight-From your TBR. This one is a series, has friends, and they are all like family. Plus the series is good.

7.Enjoy Life More: Undeniable-New to you. So, all my recent books are all from school and you would probably find them pretty boring lol! I had to go back a ways to find this one, and it was the third book in this series that I had read at the time, so I thought I could still recommend the first one in the series which I actually liked better than the third one anyways.

8. Get Organized: Blood Bound- From your TBR. I have this one waiting for me to read, too, so if you want to do a buddy read let me know. :)

I hope you like the picks. Any changes please let me know. Happy Holidays! Happy New Year!
