Alright I just finished so this is for the whole book. I think Angela and Solembum are some of my favorite characters! What about you guys? Who are your favorites?

I had forgotten the order of a few events in this book, like that Murtag didn't join them til right before Brom died and that he wasn't taken at the end of the first book.

I thought the first half kind of dragged this time round, but the second half went quickly enough once I got there. (hide spoiler)]

I probably wouldn't have gotten though it if I hadn't had the audio book. It has literally been sitting on my shelf since Inheritance came out and I'm just now getting around to the series so don't worry about it. And if you ever want a buddy I'm always willing to re-read this one!

22% (view spoiler)[ I like how this story starts, some kind of battle, an Elven Lady and the Shade, The Lady made a sapphire stone disappear in midair after she mouthed some words, and lo and behold Eragon, the title of the book, found the stone. He attempted to sell it so he could buy food for himself and his family but no one wanted to buy it. He kept it and finally it cracked and what was inside was a Dragon. Brom, an older acquaintance, gave him a name Saphira, which the dragon agreed on. I am glad that Eragon has Brom to share his Dragon story with and that Brom is helping him (hide spoiler)]

35% (view spoiler)[ I was so sad by the sight of those people in Yazuac, those Urgals spared no one, not even the babies. I am glad that Eragon is getting to learn many things about his Dragon and the magic as well as the elven. I am glad he has Brom to guide him through. I hope this Joed character will be a fine addition to their Trio. I loved that Saphira was assertive and told Eragon that he WILL ride her, it sounded like a lovers quarrel, that part was hilarious.
