Chloé (fullmetalclo) | 573 comments Finished my second book, though I'm a bit ashamed of counting it. I picked the wrong philosophy book for this challenge. Ethics was uninteresting to me and end up skimming it more than reading it. This one was a randomized book for the randomized challenge, the randomization wasn't lucky :(

100-199: Ethics(170)
300-399: Bi: Notes for a Bisexual Revolution(306)

message 164: by Alessia (last edited Aug 23, 2014 07:45AM) (new)

Alessia (allieonthemoon) | 157 comments Hello everyone! I have a question: how would you classify A Room of One's Own by Virginia Woolf according to the dewey system? Is it 800-899 (literature) or is it 100-199 (philosophy)? I'd say it is both in a way. So I'm wondering if I could use it as a book on philosophy.
I've found many sources that classify A Room of One's Own as 305.4 (Social science. Women) So I've decided to put it there.

Anyway I'm now at 4/10 (see message #72)

I've read a book which fits category 800 unquestionably:
Reading Lolita in Tehran Read 08/08/2014

plus category 300
A Room of One's Own Read 23/08/2014
