Set it at ten, I read more this year but, I had a class that made me read a lot of non-fiction, that won't be the case next year.

THE DEWEY DECIMAL CHALLENGE (non-fiction)Duration: January 2014 – December 2014
COMPLETED 10/10! :)
I read lots of non-fiction, so this challenge is right up my alley. I aim for all 10. Going through my library now to see if I can fill up all ten sections with just books that I own, but haven't read yet.

Love, love, love this challenge this year, I'm in for another 10! with a side challenge of trying to pick up the 10 category groups I didn't do last year (divided into 20 groups last year).
I've updated everyone. If you find you're not on the list please let me know and I'll make sure you get added.
Please put me down for 6. My books are being tracked at: Dewey Decimal Challenge
However, I am having problems finding the correct Dewey numbering for my first selected book The Future Of Life. Where would that fall?
Kellyanne wrote: "However, I am having problems finding the correct Dewey numbering for my first selected book [book:The Future Of ..."@Kellyanne - If it helps, my library has it in the 300's.
I don't really tend to read non-fiction but would like to try this challenge. Please put me down for 5.
If love to try one from every subject. Please include me in Zara. Thank you:->! Lisa Russo
I guess I'd like to try 10 for 2013-2014 if I have the time frame correct.
Lisa wrote: "I guess I'd like to try 10 for 2013-2014 if I have the time frame correct."Hi Lisa. The time frame is from January 1st 2014 - December 31st 2014. I'll add you down for 10 anyway, you can change it at anytime.
This is such a fantastic idea! I have a tendency to ignore the non-fiction titles on my to-read shelf, this will provide just the prodding I need.

The Dewey Decimal System is the way libraries organise their non-fiction books. It was created in 1876 by Melvil Dewey and has been changed much throughout the years.
The goal of this challenge is to read as many books with different (general) Dewey decimal classes as possible. For the purpose of this challenge, we’ll split the Dewey Decimal System into 100s, for a total of 10 larger categories. More in depth information on classes of the Dewey Decimal System can be found here: "List of Dewey Decimal Classes". If you have questions about where a book fits, do not hesitate to ask.
