There are some great recommendations here and I would agree with most of them but for my recommendation, I am going with Michael Robotham.

There are some great nominations here, but I'm going to suggest Colin Dexter.
John Connolly or Val McDermid would be my faves for the month.

Nominate an author - not a book.
In past years we have discussed the works of Agatha Christie and Michael Connelly so no repeating them.
The authors should meet the following criteria
1) Written 5 or more books
2) Writing for at least 10 years
3) Dead or Alive doesn't matter.
4) Any genre of mystery - historical, cozy, thriller, police procedural, classic - is fine.
All the regular rules of the group read nominations still apply. No self-nominations or nominations by publishers, publicists, friends, or family of the author.
Nominations are open until Wednesday, Dec. 4th with voting to follow.
