Cold Days (Dresden Files #14), by Jim Butcher; Start Date: April 1, 2014

I really hope so!

I won't be able to do it in April and Lisa Kay will be busy too.

OK ,we'll do something that suits all of us ;)

Good Gravy Beans! I knew you were thinking that. **sigh** I certainly hope not.

Joann you didn't join us for Ghost story! Are you in for this one?

I'll just have to avoid the spoilers and answer DQs when I get to them :0(

I'll have access to internet but no time for audio book.

What is a good start date for you in April, Lauren? We'll start when you want to.

1. I was expecting him to wake up in Demonreach, since Mab told him he’d have to prepare for the journey to her court, but he woke up in the Knight’s suite! Mab has a unique sense of physical therapy. Comments.
2. He’s got his mother amulet back! I’m so relieved. I wonder if he ever gets back the other magical things he had: the staff, the rings, blasting rod, and the shield bracelet?
3. What do you think of Sarissa and her relationship to Mab (Mab’s BFF!), her bargain with Mab, and what Mab had planned for her and Harry?
4. We met a few new interesting characters from the Winter Court. Comments:
a.) Cat Sith5. What a birthday party! What did you think of oversized ice furniture from his apartment? I thought it was creepy!
b.) Kringle AKA Santa Clause (what was he before becoming Santa?)
c.) Redcap
6. So clever of Sarissa to do what she did with iron hidden in her chopsticks! But it could have gone really wrong. Comments.
7. Is Harry going to kill Maeve? Why Mab chose now to have her killed and have Harry to do it? Should Harry have confided in Sarissa about his assignment?
Maeve’s “vajazzled” area: (view spoiler)8. Don’t you just love Toot-Toot?! But why does he keep growing? And what do you think about the Munstermobile?
Dresden Teeshirt9. Not again!! I hope it doesn’t take the whole book for Harry’s friends to believe he is really Harry.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
Munstermobile - just picture it dark blue and with an electric purple flame painted on it...

Anyways ,I was reading this review and the reviewer was bothered about why nobody thought what Harry did (have Kincaid kill him) was a suicide.
Do you think it was suicide?
I can't decide. Suicide is supposed to be the wrong thing to do but Harry did it because he thought it was the right thing to do ! “Here Lies Harry Dresden. He Died Doing The Right Thing.”

I do think it is a type of suicide. While he didn't want to die, he felt he had no other choice. To him, death was preferable to turning into someone like Lloyd Slate

(view spoiler)[HARRY DRESDEN LIVES!!!
After being murdered by a mystery assailant, navigating his way through the realm between life and death, and being brought back to the mortal world, Harry realizes that maybe death wasn’t all that bad. Because he is no longer Harry Dresden, Chicago’s only professional wizard.
He is now Harry Dresden, Winter Knight to Mab, the Queen of Air and Darkness. After Harry had no choice but to swear his fealty, Mab wasn’t about to let something as petty as death steal away the prize she had sought for so long. And now, her word is his command, no matter what she wants him to do, no matter where she wants him to go, and no matter who she wants him to kill.
Guess which Mab wants first?
Of course, it won’t be an ordinary, everyday assassination. Mab wants her newest minion to pull off the impossible: kill an immortal. No problem there, right? And to make matters worse, there exists a growing threat to an unfathomable source of magic that could land Harry in the sort of trouble that will make death look like a holiday.
Beset by enemies new and old, Harry must gather his friends and allies, prevent the annihilation of countless innocents, and find a way out of his eternal subservience before his newfound powers claim the only thing he has left to call his own…
His soul. (hide spoiler)]
