Yes, I think you have to have at least 75% of books reviewed in order to qualify for more in the future. What I don't understand is certain author being able to approve via NetGalley where as others have no say in who gets approved and who doesn't. I am confused about that. Shouldn't it be always up to the author and not the publisher?

Hmm if there is a publisher they usually do it their way in all things. Take the release of this series in the US as an example... the book is clearly written and now published in the UK, but US publisher has decided to hold off for close to 1 year......
That's just crazy if you ask me, especially since you can order paperbacks from UK to North America. I don't get this AT ALL. But what do I know ...Anyhow, so my husband made me put a Christmas tree today so I spend first half of the day frozen because our furnace broke yesterday and the rest of the day covered in sparkles that came off my Martha-fucking-Stewart tree ... but I was actually crouching behind the tree with my iPad the whole time I was 'straightening the branches' of the damn thing! Hubby goes 'how long does it take to straighten the branches' and I am like 'look, you are Jewish! WTF do you know about XMas trees anyways!' LOL!

There's zero rhyme or reason to NetGalley. My feedback rate is 47.5% to be exact. But I rarely get denied. Usually it's due to a book being released only in a certain geographical area I don't live in. Like Australia. If your profile on NG has strong GR stats and you provide a link to GR, most book requests are accepted by publisher.

8 feet... I'd use 1200 lights and well I am anal... so it just takes time. My old house 5+ full days to decorate and 3 full days to remove. It is the removal/clean-up part that I hate.. boooring!

I swear, I absolutely love her writing ... bloody brilliant! Susan, Joey W. Hill, CD Reisz and Tiffany Reisz are hands down my favorite authors out there when it comes writing erotica. Everyone else needs to take a fucking seat a take notes from those four. CD is pretty much the only author that I can think of right now who writes in first person and I don't want to kill myself as I am reading her stuff.

Instead of being outside looking in as someone is TELLING ME the story. That may be why I'm not embracing their story like I did SoS. I'm not intimately in their head...hearing their thoughts. Like I really have no emotional attachment to these characters. Does he love her? I want to hear him think it, not be told it.
I get what you mean but the problem I have with the first-person narrative is that it's seldome done right. I won't mention any names but some authors really have no fucking clue and you almost feel as if you are reading a diary of a horny teenager vs an erotic novel, KWIM???

OMG!!! Gabriel can't get here fast enough!!! I wanted to reread the first two books so badly before the release of the last one but no cigar (too many other books on the go). I love that so many events of book 1 take place in Toronto. It was really cool reading about places I frequent :)

LOL!!! That's awesome!!! I only found out that these books were written by a male AFTER I finished them. That's incredible. I wish he'd come out with another series - I really enjoy his work. It's funny because Gabriel's books are either hit or miss with readers. I was just telling Shannon how I was BAWLING my eys out at the part where Julia (view spoiler) I don't know why that part made me so sad but I was sobbing at it.

There will be a sequel series to Gabriel's inferno. One character in new series is featured in book 3. Raven is the heroine and she turns to a rich man for help after having no recollection/memory following a kidnapping.
