"Hmmm. Sunlight in your eyes my a**. Oh well! I'll give it a go." He picked up a javelin, and heaved it at another kids target, controlling the winds so that Kaleb's javelin smacked the other one straight out of the air. "MUAHAHA."

"Nah i don't have experience I just use the convenient way to get out of things." Kaleb shrugged her off. "You should do the same." He waggled his eyebrows.
"You were cursed. You. An Apollo kid, right?" He asked her, giving her a javelin than swiping it away. "Why?" He asked, perplexed. Normally more powerful demigods had curses.
"How the hell did you manage to stumble upon a cursed crystal?" Kaleb asked, handing her the javelin again, and then taking it away once more to mess with her. ((That's fine))
((That's ok. Don't hold back, sista!!! :D))Kaleb blinked. "Well, I wasn't excepting you to tell me your life story." He whistled, and took the ruby from her. He looked at it closely and made inquisitive noises, like 'hmmmm," and 'ahh'. He handed it back to her.
"I could freeze it." He suggested.
"A sledge hammer. Kinky." Kaleb mused. "Aright. I'm gonna freeze it. You're gonna run." He clapped his hands together. "Any questions?"
Kaleb placed the gem on the ground, and placed his hand over it. Rays of cold emanated from his palm, and almost instantaneously it was frozen to the ground in a block of ice. "RUN NOW."
Frin sat on the grass, staring off at nothing as she tried to decide why she had come here in the first place. She'd never thrown a javelin before in her life. And yet she was here.
Ugh. I should have gone to the Dining Pavilion. Could have gotten food there
Well she'd just have to make the most of this situation.
Flopping onto the ground, she stared at one of the many clouds slowly drifting across the blue sky and started to say what it was.
"A dog. No, a monster...thing. Ooooh, not it's a hellhound! I think. A hellhound without a tail..."
Mayla walked over to the spear arena. She wasn't the best with a spear, she was the worst. She still had to practice even though she would never get better.
((Sorry, didn't mean to barge in. I was waiting for Mamie to post... XP (and Sarah, you're rping?! And in this group?! WHY DIDN'T I KNOW?!) ))Frin dropped her hand, heaving a huge sigh.
She could hear someone walking towards her.
Perhaps they'd like to share in my misery
Boy, that sarcastic little voice in her head was getting stronger by the minute.
Mayla sat down with a little notepad. She started taking notes on how exactly to get the javelin in the air.
((Yeah, I'd love to rp with you at some point! (hint HINT: Like, whenever really XD) And really?! Hhhhmm...I think you did. Maybe I just forgot or something))Frin heard grass crunch as someone lowered themselves down to the ground.
Blinking slowly, she slowly raised herself up into a sitting position.
Glancing over at the person, she was surprised to see a girl scribbling down...well Frin had exceptionally good eyesight and if she wasn't mistaken...whoever it was was taking notes that had to do with javelins.
Particularly how to get them in the air.
((Uuuhmm...well pretty much the only charrie I have available right now is Frin. Soo...maybe Oreck?))
Morgana came out into the Javelin Range with her knives. She began throwing them at targets, hitting them dead center.
Umber skipped ahead of his new friend, and turned around to face her while still walking backwards. "This is the javelin range." He motioned to a large building that resembled a miniature Colluseum. "Its where you go to throw javelins. Wanna go inside?"
"I shall!" He turned around, and walked through a large opening in the building. Inside was a bunch of campers throwing javelins at targets. There was a shack that held the javelins and a water cooler in the corner of the sort range. Some campers were sitting on bleachers, chatting it up. Umber waved at them, and they waved back."This is it. What do you think?"
"Isnt it?" He said, putting his hands on his hips, looking around in wonder. "I'm awesome at javenling. Javenling? Is that a word? I don't think it's a word. It should be."
"Mmkay!" Umber zoomed off towards the shack and grabbed a solid silver javelin. He ran back to her, the elongated stick in his hand, resembling an eager puppy. "Its easy! All you gotta do is this-"He stood in front of a target, and without hesitation heaved the javelin onto the inner ring. "Its easy!"
"Yeah, it was. But training will make ya stronger!" He playfully punched her shoulder. A javelin flew by his face.
Umber, being the clueless person that he was, didn't notice her being uncomfortable. He was never one to let an awkward moment happen. "Hey, see that guy's stance?" He pointed to a guy who was about to throw the javelin over his head with both hands. "You should freeze his arms." He grinned mischievously.
"Who here is responsible?!?" He asked looking around. This girl was a little tense. Maybe he could loosen her up! "Don't worry about being a goody goody here. You can get away with just about anything, I stole all the toothbrushes from the camp store once, and I still haven't been caught yet." He said proudly.
"'Right? I've stolen lots of things. A map, a bracelet, 20 drachmas, someone's Big Mac, a pair of orange converses, a crystal, a boa constrictor from Pet Smart. That was the only time I got caught. I went to jail for a day" Umber said, laughing. "It was pretty awesome."
The moment she said that, Umber stopped. He glanced at her up and down, his mind shooting off facts and what they could mean. He wasn't the brightest in the camp, not by a long shot (he thought Albert Einstein invented the lightbulb) but his mind was very quick. He concluded that she was so FOB that she didn't know the basic 12. Which was completely understandable.
"Yup. Hermes. The messenger god of thieves, travelers, medicine."
"What now... well theres the lake, the creek, the forest, oh! The cabins. The greens is a good place cause you can see all the cabins at once." He jogged ahead. "Come on slowpoke!"
Sean walked in wearing his usual leather bomber and red fatigues with his warhammer at his hip. He thought it a good idea to practice his aim with the throws of his hammer as he ran a hand through his crimson and black hair.
Sean noticed the new member in the range and she looked like it was her first time. "Need help?" he asked coming up to her with a smile.
"I am Sean and yes I am a son of Ares so I should know a thing or two about that" he said calling a javelin over to his hand.
((Its fine I know))He chuckled and nodded at her before giving her his free hand as he caught the javelin and looked to it with a smile.
"Here" he said calling another to float to him. "show me your form again" he said wondering what she had off.
"Oh well your feet are a little off and your shoulder isn't set right" he said adjusting her shoulder then moving her legs slightly, forgetting some girls thought it forward though he was an instructor.
((Mkay well if your on I be on for quite awhile))"Indeed lets try one a friend of mine designed with more weight so you need a stronger throw" he said calling one over with a bigger node behind the head and gave it to her.
((I be up near all night I think so its cool))"That was just the beginning watch" he said smiling at the target and pointing as a small light was visible even from this distance.
((Wow I missed this I am sorry))"That would be...." he said smiling as he covered her ears and the fuse went in the and the charge blew with the force to shatter a concrete wall or dragon armor. "A anti drakon javelin" he finished after taking his hands from her ears.
((I been out for like 3 weeks and may bot be as my GF is suppose to be here like monday))"Hephaestus kids have a way of finding a way to blow things up with little packages" he said with a shrug. "I am Sean Rhethos, Eldest son Of Ares at camp and lead instructor beside Chiron for combat training" He said with a slight bow.
"Sure, always a pleasure to teach, which one?" he asked with a smile at her and hand on his hammer on his belt.
"Well a couple of Sai's would suit one of your stature" he said with a grin finding a pair and handing them to her. "Nice to meet you though Kya, nice name" he finished.
"Yes you can have them this way" he said showing her that they had a stab form where you knit your fingers in the wide guards. "Or this" he said having them like a dagger point up. He smiled over her shoulder as he had to move her hand with his hand on hers.
"Oh like this" he said moving her hands again having to adjust every finger and her palm in order to be satisfied with it.
