I'm still plugging away at my first book - only about half way through. The irony is that I picked it because I thought it would be a quick read that I'd whip through in no time! To be fair, I have had a busy week...

That is very true, Phrynne and something I occasionally lose sight of with these challenges. But I still enjoy doing them - I just need to remember there's nothing wrong with going at my own pace...

By the way, I said I picked my first read because I thought it would be a quick read but that isn't exactly what I meant! I meant I picked the book for the challenge because I wanted to read it, but I decided to read it first out of all my other options because I thought it would be a light and quick read!!

I was notified by the library that a copy of The Luminaries is waiting for me, much earlier than I anticipated. It's not in my challenge and I don't think I can fit it in, I might have to pass on it for now and wait for another turn! Let me know how you go with it, Phrynne :-)

Very true, Phrynne. Please send me a PM every day stating this fact:) I am a true compulsive, give me a list and I can't relax till it's all ticked off. Sad but true.

B the BookAddict (bthebookaddict) Finished my sixth Young Adult The Fault in Our Stars by John Green 4★

Probably like many others, I felt 'oh WHAT!' at this novel's ending.

I agree with the assessment expressed in reviews about Hazel and Augustus. Cancer does not make us any more profound than we already are. However, it does make us more appreciative of time.
