Holly, I've decided to jump on board your Harry Potter re-read! And LOTR at Christmas sounds great too - it's been too long since I did that.

Is anyone interested in a buddy read of River God? It didn't win the poll for this month's world lit group read, but I'm planning to read it anyway. Ancient Egypt, and I've heard good things about this series. Can I tempt anyone??
I would be glad to join a buddy read of the Little House books, especially since I was already planning to read them.
Is anyone else interested in a buddy read of Elizabeth and Her German Garden - Elizabeth von Arnim, possibly to start reading some time in the next few days (start between 17 & 24 May)?
Hello, I'm starting Anna Karenina probably in Feb (2019) and really want to do a buddy read so I can motivate myself to get through it:)
Do you want to map out an approximation of how many chapters you think you’ll cover in a week so we have some guidelines? I’ll be doing the audiobook and would be happy to work at your pace.
Would anyone like to read Children of Time with me? I just started it and am finding the idea of using a virus to manipulate evolution pretty fascinating.
Anyone want to do a buddy read with me? I will be reading Fortunate Son by Walter Mosley on April 1st and I’ll be starting The River by Peter Heller Monday, March 25th.Anyone want to join?
Hi, I’m pencilling in to read the below in the remainder of the year.If it appeals feel free to join me. Thanks.
In first half of July The Barretts of Wimpole Street play based on life of Elizabeth Barrett Browning
In second half of July Sonnets From the Portuguese
July - the odyssey Walter Shewring (Translator)
Sept - the odyssey translation Emily Wilson
Nov - Ulysses the short version
update
I've just realised it's not obvious I don't mind if you read different versions / translations of Odyssey or Joyce's Ulysses.
Would love to Jenny but I don’t think I’ll manage this year. It’s just February but already I’m pretty much all booked up...
I know how that one goes Susy! I actually had them on my list for last year, but took em off, so I am determined to get em done this year! I had 12 novels planed, but that wound up being expanded to at least 23 by library reads and a group read, plus I had plenty of mangas planed... I can wait, and let me know if you get to them this year, and I'll join in when you start, or we can plan to do it next year, from Jan- April or so!
Jenny, Inheritance Quartet has been on my list for sometime, but I still haven't gotten around to starting it. However, if you guys eventually start a discussion, I will probably join you at that time!
Would anyone be interested in reading The Stand with me? I have a friend on Goodreads and Facebook who is just starting it and is looking for people to join her. I had planned on reading it this year anyway, so I figure there is no more appropriate time to start than now, lol. Any takers?
I am in search of an epic buddy read like we did with War and Peace in 2015. Anyone interested in reading something ridiculously long?
Roseanne wrote: "I am in search of an epic buddy read like we did with War and Peace in 2015. Anyone interested in reading something ridiculously long?"How about The Count of Monte Cristo? I think I read it a looooong time ago, but I don't remember much of the details other than remembering that I liked it more than I expected. I'd be curious what I would think now.
I would totally be up for that! I just got a copy of it recently. Rosemarie, can you set up a thread for us? I won't get to it until January, so no hurries! Thanks!
I am just going to throw it out there for anyone who wants to join us. Some of us who read The Count of Monte Cristo are moving onto The Three Musketeers.

I'd love to finally tackle it!
Is anyone interested in reading David Copperfield and Demon Copperhead simultaneously? I recently listened to a podcast where Barbara Kingsolver talked about how she wrote her book over the skeleton of Dickens' book.
Oooh, I haven't thought to read David Copperfield simultaneously! Okay, I'm in! I have Demon Copperhead downloaded already and am planning on starting that soon. I'll have to get a copy of David Copperfield. How do you suggest reading them simultaneously?
Just let me know when you would like me to set it up, Eileen and Roseanne.
Any other group members will be welcome to join in as well!

I am interested in this. I am having a terrible start to this reading year. Nothing is sticking in spite of having started a minimum of 40 books!! Maybe a buddy read is what I need. I have a copy of both books having received them both in my latest curated book package.
Don’t know about reading them together but could try.
Will look for updates. 🤗
Would anyone like to read the The Diabetes Code: Prevent and Reverse Type 2 Diabetes Naturally by Jason Fung?
