Someone else can do the deletion if it's not a series."
They have a lot more in common that just a theme; it applies to all editions of each work; you could not easily pop one of these into a another similarly-themed imprint. So I think they should stay as a series, but I agree with unnumbered.

This one is definitely on the edge. I don't know enough about this genre to feel comfortable making a decision. I'm leaning on the "keep" side (but agree about removing the punctuation), but open to more info from anyone who knows more about the genre.

I'm happy to do the editing on both these series (numbering/punctuation) today. Will leave anything else with #954 until there has been more discussion.

Could someone else remove the numbers for the series linked in #952? And perhaps leave notes so they don't get re-added. Thanks!

Either I made a mistake in the numbers or someone deleted a comment but I meant the Movers & Shakers series. I've removed the numbers, but they are still showing for me- is this a caching issue?
Will do the other one later on.

I think someone deleted a post, but I also must have had the page up for a few minutes before I posted, because I didn't see your message when I hit post. Sorry for the confusion!

Sorry, Carol, I missunderstood your post when I first read it, so here's what I found:
According to the publisher's homepage this is a series (Reihe); I do not know if it goes with the GR criteria for a series.
Homepage:
https://www.langenscheidt.com/langens...
Sorry, the page is in German. But you can find all books of this series listed on that page, and Langenscheidt (= the publisher) calls it
Langenscheidt ...-Deutsch
Hope this helps.
The post numbering chaos is probably my fault, as I was on the thread at the same time as you girls. Sorry.

Since no one else has given an opinion, I have removed the punctuation from the start of the series name. Will leave this series now as I don't speak enough German & I'm not comfortable enough with non fiction series to give any more input.

Sorry, I only saw a series name on a couple of the books. Maybe we crossed over?

It seems unlikely that with an author this well known that a series wouldn't have been created till 2019.

I've noticed this book series doesn't exist and we have no such series with this name.

Dead Apple itself is a name of a light novel, not a series, can someone please fix this?
P.S: the books in the link above belong to this series. 👇

Hi Kimia
If this hasn't been done, you would be better off starting a new thread in the series folder.
This thread is for librarians (mainly) to ask advice if a series is a series by GR standards.
Hi everyone
A member has found quite a few non fiction series that may not be series. I am not good with non fiction series.
Could someone take a look & give their opinions?

Google translate: Works collected by Jaan Kross
How can this be a series?"
Looks like an honest mistake where what appears to a reader to be a "collected works" series does not qualify as a Series under Goodreads' particular rules (which I would bet the series' creator has neither heard of nor read).
I think this is a good point to close the thread. If there are unanswered questions, new threads would be better. Actually, individual new threads rather than an ongoing one like this are probably more likely to be seen regardless.

It doesn't seem like a series to me. If it is the blurb for the first volume calls it the first in the series, but it looks to me like they could be read in any order, so if it is a series it should surely be unnumbered.
I'll vote no, but I'm not certain enough to remove this.
