The House of Hades

NICO… YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT O.o

OMG the mental image you gave me is horrible, ugh if they combined them I would personally hunt the people down and murder them with my bare hands.
Ehh not really into Disney but if I had to choose, I'd pick Frozen because it's the first Disney movie that teaches that true love doesn't have to be between a guy and a girl but it can be between two siblings. Also it wasn't romance filled like all the others.
It's 2:34 AM and uh, I never really watched Looney Tunes but um maybe that crazy dude. I forgot his name I think it was something with a Z..
Well, like I said before, I never really watched TV. I watched some shows but I mostly read books as a child. It was my siblings that watched TV. I would watch with them sometimes ^^
I've been reading since I was a little girl because my mother is a bookworm so she read me stories every day :)
Also it's like 3:00 AM now so I'll be going to sleep! Good night

That's a rude comment to make as people have their own wishes. You might have your own opinions and will do away with the series but we don't need to know that. Besides Rick Riordan has hooked us more with this "plot twist".

Because eragon is bad.
I now remember why I didn't like Ranger Apprentice, that same lack of magic. If I wanted history I would read history books.

No he hasn't, reading this series has become a chore. I'm just waiting for it to end so I can wash my hands of it, and if somewhere down the road decides to reboot/continue the series I will just ignore it. There is a limit to simplistic childish writing a person can take.

I feel like many people are misunderstanding shock with random. It was so shocking people felt like it was random but it wasn't there were hints earlier in the books.
Also, who cares if the wiring is simplistic? When I read, I read for character development, for a good plot line, and other. I mean, yeah, the writing for PJO is simplistic but that's because it was a children's book. I think the writing for HoO became more mature. The way the books are written now is fine to me. Maybe you don't like it because you're older..?

Since it's just one more book remaining, I will read it... then I'm done. As I said before will get book one of the norse series to see what it's about if it's HoO material I will drop it.
I HATE THIS TABLET FORCING ME TO EDIT MY POST BECAUSE IT ACCIDENTAL THE BUTTON.
Why do you think it "fell off and became annoying"? The books are just getting better and better to me.

Nope Eragon is a boring book. I didn't really like it. ^^

that I can undrstand it is on of those things that you like or you don't like

I loved the first book. I think the second book was the least best so far. I don't know why but maybe it was so Roman-ish and I missed the Greeks. My favorite is the third book because everyone finally met up and there was so much action. Okay okay here's my list. It goes from best to least best (I'm not going to use the word worst because it wasn't bad. It's just least best.)
1) Mark of Athena
2) House of Hades
3) The Lost Hero
4) The Son of Neptune

As you said, the books getting better is just that, your opinion. Also I don't need evidence to say eragon is bad lol and Ranger Apprentice being we'll known and well loved by you doesn't mean it's well loved by everyone.
The same thing would apply to you and twilight, millions of people like that book... you can't hate on them without evidence.

Avalon grannie?! XD I prefer Auntie Ava, ickle H99-iekins :)
But but but grannie makes me look really old :( And yeah I see the auntie thing but auntie suits me so much better ! I am Auntie Ava and you are ickle H99-iekins :D Don't be jealous because I'm older than you, teehee.

Are we talking about Ranger's Apprentice or Eragon? Just go on their respective Goodreads pages and look for the one star reviews to get your proof.

If you really did read all 60 pages as you claimed you would see I have a dislike for dragon books also... how did i come across as insulting your book? and even if I did... it's a book. That right there, is one of the reasons this thread is so long; people feel that those who don't jump for Nico is insulting their fav book and author EVA!!11!!
We are individuals not a hive-mind, you liking something doesn't mean the world has to like it or die(if that is what you want you are going into North Korea territory there).
Agree with Kevin there ^^ I'm pretty sure that not EVERYBODY will like something. There will always be people who don't like something and for good reasons too. Eragon did suck in my opinion. Also, when did he come across as hating on the series?

It's my opinion, I didn't like it.
It's like Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever, I read that book.... absolutely disgusting and horrible, the protagonist just whining about his leprosy all the time. I will never get back the days I spent reading that filth.
I rated it a 1(wanted to give it -10 but you can't here), if you go to it's Goodread's page you will see people rating this book 5 stars which boggles my mind but... maybe nostalgia? They read the book when really young and it left an imprint on them, or they for some reason(maybe they are prose junkies) liked the writing I don't know, I just know I didn't like it.
Me and the board who recommend that book get into arguments all the time when I see them recommending it to other people.. i think they trolled me into reading it.

Ps I did read all 60 pages but you can't expect me to remember every post. As well I some times skipped the longer ones(rarely)

(Like Harry potter with me I just never understood why it became popular it an okay book but certainly not brilliant in my opinion) nostalgia I think helps a lot when it comes to chosing a book.

I love that song! I remember when I watched that movie that it was my fav song in their:)
Uh first of all I don't think Rick made a follow up series as an "epilogue" for the PJO series. He made it because he wanted to introduce Roman mythology and because he felt like taking the old characters and bringing new ones. I'm not really sure about that or why exactly he made a follow up series but I am PRETTY sure that Rick wouldn't have made a follow up series as an epilogue. Asking why he made a follow up series is like asking why he made the PJO series. Because he wants to.
Also, Rick is NOT going to make an epilogue. He said it already. He doesn't like to close stories off because he wants to leave it up to the readers imagination. If he's not going to make an epilogue, then I want the Blood of Olympus to be a REALLY fat. It should be big anyways, how is he going to fit so many problems? I hope he doesn't leave plot holes :(

The first series was exciting, The Mark of Athena and the Lost Hero were some-what enjoyable, The Son of Neptune was absolutely boring and this was ok.
He should have done an epilogue and if he insisted on leaving things open for the imagination than he should have left a few questions open in the epilogue. People(including myself) are just getting tired of it continuing on and they aren`t getting any better. In my expert opinion, I think that a couple of them have gotten a lot worse.

The Last Airbender was, by far, worse.
