NICO… YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT O.o

Either way, the last airbender movie just sucked on all levels. I hate it with a burning passion. How can they even mispronounce the names????? Honestly
LOL Kevin M. Night Shamadingalong xDD Haha now that is forever going to be stuck in my head instead of M. Night Shyamalan.

@avalon: the hippogriff or Pygmy puff idea is cute ^_^ and yeah I'm a ravenclaw :p
Agreed. My eyes burned when watching it. It was so horrible and painfully wrong.
Yeah they really did that I was so pissed. Imagine how amazing the movies would be if Rick had wrote the script.

Alexandria Daddario (I think that's Annabeth's actors name) was annoying as heck. Tbh, Logan Lerman was also kinda bland but his face was totally worth everything he is so amazingly cute. He's in my top 3 babies: Logan Lerman, (PJO), Tom Felton (HP), and Sam Claflin (THG). I love them all <3
Also, Nat Wolff is so freaking cute. If you ever read The Fault in our Stars, he's going to play Isaac in the upcoming movie for that book.
OMG Dylan O'Brien? He's going to play Thomas in The Maze Runner movie. The movie better be awesome like the book. I only know him because he's gonna play Thomas.

Dylan O'Brien looks amazingly cute but imma stick to my three babies. All my three babies have all played a part in my three favorite books and all three are so freaking sweet and cute.
Logan, Tom, and Sam <3
Tom Felton is so gosh damn sweet and nice and he plays a perfect Draco. I get so surprised when I see him playing the cold cruel Draco because in actuality he's a really sweet guy.

ohmygod. Sam Claflin was so perfect as Finnick. and ugh he has this adorable british accent in real life and I love him so much.
also I absolutely cannot wait for the TFIOS movie. I need the trailer asap

Like WTF how did this discussion get so far off track?
Ooh the girl playing Hazel is cute ! I don't like the actor for Augustus though... He doesn't even look like him.

you need to STFU Jasmine

And fuck off.
And fuck off.

I'm on page 49 and my eyebrows are orbiting... I don't even..... like wut?
I think Brooke was adding to what Drew wrote.

Tbh, from what the summary was about in Goodreads, I'm not sure that I'm going to like The Way of Kings but I'll read it and find out. If it becomes tiring, it'll go on my shelf of Untouched Books just like a lot of other books.
Yea I love fantasy but I'm not sure about this book but I'll definitely try it. Idk about the whole world building thing, doesn't seem to be my type but the book is worth a try.
Idk what about it seems to make me not want to read it but I think it's because it's like 1000 pages that I'm trying to hold it off. I've decided to read Angelfall first because the plot seems appealing to me. Then I'm going to read Unwind and then WOK and then Gentleman Bastard.
The thing is idk why my type is really. I favor fantasy than all other genres but I'm the type that I'll read a book, if I like it then I like it if I don't then I don't. Idk how to explain it but I'll just read it and it's more about it's appeal to me rather than a type, I suppose.

Yes, it was."
yeah im pretty sure

Does anyone else find it hilarious how in TFIOS, Shai is playing Hazel while Ansel Elgort is playing Augustus, while in Divergent, Shai is playing Tris and Ansel Elgort is playing Caleb??? LOL
Haha in FioS they'll be boyfriend and girlfriend and in Divergent they'll be siblings. I just noticed that, it's kinda weird. That escalated way too quick.

To be honest I'm not too excited for the divergent movies because I really only liked the first book. The second pissed me off and I might not even read the third.

But then again, it might be because of all those spoilers...I found out immediately about the end when it came out bc the internet. Like always. Sigh that happened to me with Nico too
I didn't like Allegiant. This is why I usually don't like trilogies. The first book are always amazing and epic and then they just start to go downhill from there cough*HungerGames*cough. The last book in trilogies always suck. I'm always wary of reading trilogies. AND OMG WTF THE ENDING WAS SO FREAKING STUPID I FELT LIKE KILLING A KITTEN LIKE WTF ROTH? ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?
What pissed me off wasn't the ending it was that it didn't live up to the first two books. The plot was not going anywhere there were so many plot holes. Like I wasn't getting emotional like how the first two books left me. I felt like Roth was being lazy in this one. There was no suspense build up. There were different POVs but I could not tell who was who they were all the freaking same. They couldn't be told apart. The pacing was off. Everything was moving way too fast. I mean the ending (not spoiling for the ones who haven't read the book) was very realistic and it wasn't cliché or predictable. For those who didn't like Allegiant because of the ending, then whatever but that wasn't what made Allegiant a pretty bad book. It was everything I mentioned above. I am never reading trilogies again. First the Hunger Games, and then this.
Btw, if anyone is going to bash me about ranting about a book in a HoH thread, save it. We've discussed the damn topic so many times, I don't think we should mind a little off topicness over here.

The reason I asked was because Brooke(and almost every "old" poster here) had there say about Jasmine, she didn't make any new comments so... you are just needlessly repeating yourself. It's like pouring salt on an old wound.

I'm going to warn you now it's going to be a little dry at the beginning because Sanderson is introducing a new world and a new way of life, if you've read Sanderson before and still continue to read you know it will be worth the wait.
All of those one star comments for The Way of Kings are no true fantasy fans, they probably just read fantasy because it(most of the stupid ones) are filled with romance, they probably wanted a werewolve and a vampire fighting for the affection of a self imposed lonely "cute" teenage female.....
The Way of Kings is Sanderson's entry into the "multi book epics", it's the starting book for a 5+ book long series the first couple pages(hundred) were used to introduce the characters, their powers/abilities, the landscape, the religious and social turmoil of that era, the history of the of the world and how decisions shaped it etc etc etc all leading up to an unforeseen end(at least some parts of it) and on March 4th Book 2 The Words Radiance will be released.
SANDERSON FANS UNITED!!!!!!

I think Alexandra Daddario is the best choice for Annabeth. Her looks, eyes especially. But the movie didn't give her much significance. She was all smart and strong in the first movie but was girly girl in the second. Alex is already close to 30! They should be making the movie right now before she gets too old for the role. :(

I have a method to fantasy books when I'm looking for recommendations:
-Does it have magic?
-Are witches in it?
-How is the magic used?
-Is there some stupid romance/love crap used ad the main plot or to tie the plot and thus the book together? If yes DROPPED!
-Is magic integrated into society?
-Is there some stupid plot involving a dragon and treasure? If yes, dropped.
-What era is it? Urban Fantasy with magic being used in current society is a plus.
-Is the author using old tales or creatures in a new light? Is it love/romance driven e.g vampires wanting companionship? Dropped.
-Is the main protagonist made out to be "the hero we've been searching for all these years" out of the blue? Dropped.
-Is it too childish? i.e is the bad guy made out to be a bumbling fool, that after putting together a device by himself that would take hundreds of cutting edge scientist is foiled by some 11 year old or some foolishness. Dropped(probably explains why I'm starting to dislike Rick Riordan)
-Are there real world problems? People being forced, killed, used because "I'm stronger" or is the world perfect and "the current issue at hand is the most important thing EVA". I might not drop it but once humans are in a story people will be used and forced to do things, its human nature and if you are writing that humans are these good living together happily beings... dropped.
-Is there real history mixed in so well or applied in such a way that you can't tell if it's fact or fiction? This is a plus.
-Are they incorporating different myths/worlds? The Dresden Files does this well.
-Is the book long? I can't remember how many times i start to enjoy a book.. and it ends, then i have to go and look for something new.
There are a bunch of other factors that probably happens subconsciously that I can't even begin to write down soooo, you can probably use that as a template and see what rustles your jimmies.

You mean how she played the character wrong in the first place and didn't even look like her? She looked nothing like Annabeth nor did her hair, eyes match.
She was "shy" in the second(never saw it just going by what you said) because they probably trying to capture Annabeth's characteristics more to match the book... instead of a amazon like warrior who can take on 5 people at once and smile for Percy while doing it..... Never watched the first one starting to end, not going to watch any of the others ever.
I don't think you read the books... I can't see any fan of the series who read the books before the movie actually paying to watch that garbage(i wouldn't watch it free either).
Grover cuddling with Hades' wife..... having to go to the top of the Empire State building instead of the ground floor(the titan battle will be hilarious when they are camping inside to stop people's entry.... when all they have to do is fly/jump up to the roof), cutting out the Ares fight all together(not even casting Ares).... i really hope the next one bombs(if the second one didn't) so the studios will stop funding this filth.

I thought "oong" looked a little asianish... they needed the earth benders to dance some more to move a pebble and people need to have more fire close at hand so they can actually be useful... I hate M Night Shamadingalong
