I'm just interested because I feel like Mr. Riordan will find someone to be with NIco and I wonder who it will be, I mean besides Leo Rick seems to pair up his characters with a partner.

Personally, I just want Nico to not end up with someone. It would just be too convenient. Everyone has to be a pair? Really? Because endings are only happy if you finish in a relationship? >:/ I'll be happy as long as Nico opens up to connecting with others by the end of the next book. That alone would be enough for me to be happy.
I agree with that I want him to be alone, (that sounds mean but it suits his character) and he's ties or my favorite character in the series and I agree he needs to open up to people

Yeah I have never gotten over a crush without telling the other person because once I tell them then I feel like I can move on because they obviously didn't like me. I get my hopes up but once I get rejected then I know I can't linger on these feelings and I REALLY start to move on. I think Nico knows it's impossible for Percy to return his feelings but he still can't shake them off. But if he confesses, and Percy rejects him, then he officially knows it's impossible and it'll be a start for Nico to finally move on. Well, that's what I think and that's why I want Percy to find out. It doesn't have to happen but maybe Nico will really get a move on once he confesses. Percy will help him move on.
Just read 3 and a quarter pages.... a lot of people replying to things and their replies makes no sense whatsoever... maybe i'm just tired

He already knows nothing is going to happen between himself and Percy. You can't think of Nico's actions in terms of what you would do. You have to think in terms of what Nico would do.

That's not the Nico we've come to know, and sadly, he somehow loses the strength and mystique of his character because of it.
The books are about taking what you can't control and using it for good. Kids who originally thought they were losers because they were born with ADHD and dyslexia found out that it made them special and strong. They were strong characters who could choose their own fate, not who they are. On the very first page Percy said he never wanted to be a demigod. The books are about how you can't choose who you are, or your parents, or what you're born with, you can always choose your own path. Nico did not choose to have a crush on Percy, but he chose to help him instead of avoiding him. That is the concept of free will Rick uses throughout the story, not choosing to change yourself, but learning to accept yourself and choosing to make the best of it.

I think too many people forget where Percy started. He started as a story for Rick's son to feel less awful about being ADHD and Dyslexic. To teach him that even when things in life suck, it won't stop you from being great.

Since frank's transformation all male characters are now hot (well, I'm 20 so I have to picture the younger ones as older else I'll feel like a perv :P) but point is there was no entirely safe choice. It was pretty much him or Leo since they were the only single ones and it makes more sense for it to be nico.

Percabeth is my OTP. I've shipped them ever since Percy said she had curly blond hair like a princess (something like that). I can basically ship Nico with anyone cause I love him so much I want him to be shared. I've shipped him with Leo, Percy, Annabeth, Reyna, Piper, Octavion (weird right?), Rachel, Travis and Connor, and Jason. He's compatible with everyone, to me.

I love Nico, but I'll never give my vote to him being with Percy, and I want him to love himself first before I start being worried about who else he's going to love.
My otp will always be Percy/annabeth. Ever since sea of monsters... They are just the best. (But still percico lives inside ;p) but that doesn't mean I want them to happen, I agree with you. Nico needs to learn to accept himself first and foremost.. And then we will be left to our own imagination on who he ends up with.

Personally, I thinks its a good thing that Rick has included the fact about Nico. I mean, yes the book is aimed at a younger audience but this is good because it makes them be more open minded about other people. Also, we didn't really know a lot about Nico and I wasn't sure whether he might leave the remainder of the seven as he didn't come across as comfortable in the group. But by coming out and saying that he's gay, it shows he's becoming more trusting.So yeah! I think Rick did a brave thing and I just hope most people see it as a good thing!

I didn't mean that he should write more any time soon. Just that if you give a book a final epilogue set in the future, it means you can never go back to them, not without it being weird.
Well we already know that Rick is not going to continue the series, he wants to try new myths. He said if he kept going back to Greek, then he could never get to other myths. So if he's gonna end Greek mythology, at least give us a nice long epilogue !!
Yeah but what happens after the new series? He could do cameos or an adventure with all his heroes. They do all take place in the same universe don't they? But if he does an epilogue we won't.
Honestly, I don't see any problem about Nico's feelings towards Percy. Nico is one of my favorite character since PJO and I still like him despite this issue going on about him.

People deserve respect, not ideas. You are not obligated to respect beliefs and opinions especially when they are disrespectful of others.
I think people deserve acceptance but respect is earned. People only deserve as much respect as they earn imo.
