Sara W (sarawesq) | 2153 comments Oh yay, those are great choices!

I'm picking the The Rose of York: Love and War (it's about Richard III and Anne Neville).

(FYI - I was going to pick The Last Queen b/c Juana La Loca seems really fascinating, but after a quick look (amazon and half.com) I couldn't find a cheap copy to buy and I couldn't find it on my library's website. If other people want to vote for this book and find a place to get it, let me know. Otherwise, it seems like it will be republished in July according to Amazon.)

MBP Despina - What great choices! These are all books that have been on my lengthy to-read list for a long time, and this is a great motivation to actually read one!

I'm going to vote for The Autobiography of Henry VIII by Margaret George, just because of my Tudor obsession. It's been out for a while and should be easy to get - but I have to warn others, it's very long (trade paperback listed as 944 pages). This doesn't bother me (my favorite books always seem to be long), but others might want to consider that when voting.

I'd also be happy to read The Rose of York, though - and I would be interested in the C. W. Gortner book for July.

Thanks for the great selections!

Rachel (wildhoney) I'm vote for The Autobiography of Henry VIII because the unabridged version is available on audiobook and I like to have options since I commute.

Great picks!

CmPete Tucker | 10 comments I'll vote for 'Rose of York - Love and War' mostly because it is in my TBR pile.

Though I'd enjoy a GR (Group Read) about Henry too! Ooooh. Think of the fun comparing Autobiography with other Herny themed works we've read....

Sara W (sarawesq) | 2153 comments I'd also be up for keeping Juana La Loca in mind for July or August (I think Amazon said it was released on July 29 or something like that).

I'd certainly enjoy reading either of the two books as well (both will end up in my to-read shelf anyway!).

Thanks everyone for getting some quick votes in! The process should smooth itself out for the next month.

Sera I vote for Rose of York - Love and War.

The other two sound great, too.

Sara W (sarawesq) | 2153 comments There's only a few more hours to vote (well, actually around 7 or so)! Right now there appears to be 3 votes for Rose of York and 2 for the Autobiography of Henry VIII. Despina hasn't voted yet. If there is a tie, her vote will be the tie-breaker (so if she votes for Henry VIII and ties it at 3-3, we'll go with Henry VIII).

If you have just joined the group, feel free to jump in and vote!
