Cute for a foodie, especially if you like baking bread. Like a love letter to San Francisco and Sourdough bread. Story isn't very exciting, just a journey of a woman who was given a Sourdough starter and all the changes in her life that came from it.

I liked every character in this novel. Not what I expected, which was a boilerplate romance. A lot of serious situations are addressed thru excellent storytelling. Kept wondering how it was going to end and was extremely satisfied.

Juicy! One of those books where you aren't sure who to trust or who is telling the truth... it's fun to keep speculating over what is really going on as you learn a little bit more each chapter. Not a bubbly, happy book, but the grittiness keeps it s ...more

A solid psychological thriller. Gets really deep at times but overall I liked the narrator. Reads like a classic film noir movie and I kept picturing Robert Mitchum as one of the main characters in a black and white movie in my head while reading the ...more
