Alie (alienicole) | 15 comments Okay, I can prolly start it next week (I just have to borrow it from the DC Library website).

I LOVED the movie and am so interested to see how the book is, even if it isn't my typical genre.

Nikki ~ The Nocturnal Bookworm (nyxreadsstuff) Sounds good :) That will give me time to borrow a copy as well.

message 58: by Alie (new)

Alie (alienicole) | 15 comments Do you use a Kindle or print copies? (just wondering).

Nikki ~ The Nocturnal Bookworm (nyxreadsstuff) Alienicole wrote: "Do you use a Kindle or print copies? (just wondering)."

I prefer print but if the library doesn't have a print copy I'll go for the e-book. When I buy I still prefer printed copies but I will grab whichever is least expensive. You?

Alie (alienicole) | 15 comments Okay, just gimme a bit to organize. I just started Fried Green Tomatoes but I think i'm gonna end up breezing through it.
But then I have to figure out the first group read for my group.

But it shouldn't be so long, and thanks Tetty <3

Kristie | 5928 comments Neha wrote: "I just got my buddy. Thanks anyways :)"

Hi Neha - What most people do for a buddy read is to find at least one person that would like to read the book with you, then set up a thread in this folder: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group... and anyone can join the conversation after that. That way, it ends up being a bigger group read. I'm just throwing that out as an option. If you'd prefer to have a private buddy read through individual messages, that is up to you.

message 77: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Creel What does buddy read mean? Could someone explain it to me please?

message 78: by Katie.g (new)

Katie.g | 129 comments A buddy read is when you read a book with one or more people. If someone wants to read the same book as you you can create a thread and discuss the book. If people are at different stages of the book you might want to put a spoiler tag in your post.

message 79: by Natasha (new)

Natasha Hansen | 6 comments I really want to read The Game of Thrones but every time I start it makes me sad so I stop within a chapter. I am thinking that if I have a buddy to read it with I will stick to it this time and at the same time have someone to talk about it with. :) I was thinking about starting it mid-December. If anyone is interested let me know.

message 80: by Chrystal (new)

Chrystal (chrystal0830) i have been meaning to start that series as well...i could probably start it with you in mid december :)

Also i will admit this is my first buddy read and i'm excited :)

message 83: by Elaine (new)

Elaine (elaineharlington) I would love to do a buddy read. It really doesn't matter what book it is, I'll just have to check if I have it or if I can get it from my library. I'd be happy to exchange 'to read' book lists if anyone is interested. :)
