Sorry, instead of adding an edition of The Truth about Magic (for paperback) I created a whole new book and didn't mean to. So could someone make a paperback format to that edition and delete this one ( https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1... ) please? I've created books before but have never added editions.

#518 - new edition creates a new record which just needs to be combined with the rest by the librarians, which Renske has done. Don't panic! The one you added, however has no ISBN etc. - should it have?

What I think is that the solitary shelver has added that book to her shelf as a reminder to not read any of his books. The shelf name is "auf-gar-keinen-fall" which I think would mean something like 'in no case' or 'by no means'. I'd like someone with a bit more German than I have to verify that but otherwise I agree that there is no sign that the book exists although the ISBN and ISBN-13 are both valid and Scholastic is the publisher for many of the authors books.
His book 'The Mitten' matches the publication date & the publisher.

Thanks for the confirm. I still tend towards removing it although the valid pair of ISBNs is a worry. The Google hits might be where the ingram bot found the book in the first place and there is nothing on the author's site or the publisher site and no sign, that I can see, of a used copy of the book.
I was looking for the books of The Bane Chronicles and found I this too: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...I was wondering if this is a real book. It has no real information and there isn't anybody who calls Magnus Bane, is there? ;S But there are people who rated it and so... Can someone take a look at it and decide whether or not to delete it?

Pff... I don't know. I already knew that you could find The Bane Chronicles. But the other one, Magnus Bane's Book just seems wrong to me :p
I mean, the author mentioned of that book is Magnus Bane instead of Cassandra Clare. Are you sure that it has to be merged?

No, not really, although we can be fairly sure it was not wrtten by Magnus Bane and so is either a mistitled book or a mistake. The people who have shelved it seem to have Cassandra Clare books on their shelves so certainly know who Bane is. These sorts of generic filler titles are quite common on Goodreads.
The reason I said merge is that if we just delete it all the people who have shelved it will lose that book. If it is merged then they get an entry for the book that is possibly nearest to the book they shelved and which we all agree probably does not exist.
What would you suggest?

"When one book is merged is is essentially deleted and all the shelving & reviews etc all move to the most popular edition that is has previously been combined with. So the weirdo book will vanish and the proper Bane Chronicles will get a few extra shelvings and reviews. Were you thinking that the weirdo book would be staying?
