Cool! And Welcome to the group
Hi, I'm Connie. I live in the UK. I recently turned 26 and I too love to read. Unfortunately, I've slacked abit due to the loss of my mum (09/10/68-30/12/12) and then my health wasn't great and still isn't, with being told I have Hashimotos Thyroiditis, along with my Bipolar. So it's a struggle daily to even get out of bed, that's why I tend to sleep with a paper back and kindle lol :)
I joined GoodReads last night, so still trying to figure everything out.
I live alone with my dog (staffy) and my psycho cat. And I hope I can make some friends.
I look forward to the challenges and this months book.
Hello my name is Alan. I'm currently reading The Pillars of the Earth. After this book I'm planning on reading Lolita and The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
Hello, I'm Cheri. I challenged myself to read 52 books this year, averaging one a week but giving myself time to read more slowly if the book (or my schedule) demanded it, and of course reading some books more quickly. But I got behind, and thought that joining this group would help me catch up and keep on track! I'm looking forward to it. I used to read a lot of nonfiction but increasingly I am pushing myself to read more fiction.
Hi! My name is Michelle, I'm 18, and a college sophomore. I really started to get into reading for pleasure this summer (as silly as that sounds). My goal is to read 20 books by the end of the year!
Hey! Welcome @Diana-michelle, @Cheri, @chintan
Hello everyone! My name is Krystol and I'm a writer also. But, I love reading books. I am looking to joining a book club and i am glad that I found this one. I will be buying the book today at the book store. Please feel free to add me. I am also looking to make new reader friends.
Hi guys, my name is Emily. I'm a 25-year-old grad student studying library science. I am doing the Popsugar challenge (which is 52 books) and I set my Goodreads Challenge as 80 books. I have read 57 books so far this year and have 16 books left to read for the Popsugar challenge, so I feel pretty good.
Hi everyone! I'm Kelly. I'm 25 and from the UK. I love to read and this year I set myself the challenge to read more. I'm a high school teacher which means that during term time my reading time can be limited but I try to get at least an hour in each day. My goal for this year is 32 books and I've just finished my 23rd. I'll definitely be setting myself a higher goal next year as I'm confident I'll reach 32 this year. I love all kinds of genres, but at the moment I probably read more YA than anything else. I want to read more classics and my to-read list is ridiculous! I really love the idea of buddy reading and participating in challenges so I'll definitely be looking at those threads. I look forward to getting to know other book lovers! :)
Hi I'm Louise from the UK :) I only have a challenge of 20 books for this year which is a bit less than I usually would read, but last year I had my second child in the July and only read a few books after he was born so didn't want to set my sights too high just is case. i am open to ideas of other books to try as I have to be in and out the library rather fast this days more my now 1 year old screams the place down haha. i look forward to talking to new people and finding out about new books :)
Hi everyone! I'm Crystal. Im 28. Happily married to my best friend of 14 years. I have 3 little boys. I am a nurse. I read, run, and wine in my spare time.
Hi, I'm Denielle. I read anything and I always love new suggestions. I read all the time and when I'm not reading I am usually found in the kitchen.
Glad to have you back, Craig! You'll have to tell us about the book festival, I'm curious about it.Welcome to all of the new members! I look forward to getting to know you all. :)
Hi, My name is Jasmine. I am a soon to be mommy of a baby girl and I wanted to start reading frequently again before things get too crazy around here. In addition, I have my own personal library at home of books waiting to be read. Think its about time to dust the dirt off those books and get reading. :)
Hi fellow readers,My name is Nike and I live in Belgium. I have never been a book addict, but the last few years I really enjoy reading a good book (especially in the winter time :)) Sometimes, I need a push and then I can really enjoy reading. Therefore I wanted to become a member of this group.
Hi! I'm Frank and I run a new book review blog, so I suppose I have cornered myself into reading more. There are certainly worse corners to be in!
Hi I'm Nicole. I am a recent college graduate and have always loved to read, but never much found the time for pleasure reading with classes and work with in school. Now that I am out I have found my love for books again. I constantly go to discount stores and could spend hours scanning the bookshelves for some good reads, but now my problem is that I keep buying books and not reading the ones I have and running out of room. I admit that I can indulge in some chick lit as pure entertainment, but I like a book that really pulls me in even better. This group appealed to me because it is active and I love discussing a good book but I don't know of any book clubs near me or have any friends who are avid readers like I am, so I'm excited!
Hi, I'm Susan, age 50, from SC. I joined this group because I saw it was active with book challenges. I've done the A-Z challenge for several years now and enjoy that. I always set an unreachable goal (for me!) for number of books for the year but when I retire I will be successful. Looking forward to participating in the group.
Hi. I'm Felicia and I am so glad that I found this group. I love reading challenges. I have always had a love for reading. I don't get to read as much as I did before I had responsibilities but I'm working on it.
Hi, I'm Judy. I love this book challenge. My bookclub with friends kinda fizzled out ( life kinda got in the way). This way I can still challenge myself. I've recently become very interested in audiobooks (does that count as reading?) I have a lot of drive time, walking time etc. when I just enjoy a good story.
Hello. My name is Kimberly and I'm very new to this. I'm also coming in towards the end of the year, so I've only set a goal of 3 books. I read VERY slowly. But, hey, I may surprise myself. I know that my goal next year will be a book a month....for me, that's a lot! LOL I look forward to making friends and chatting about books. Thanks for having me. :)
Welcome to the group, everyone! I look forward to getting to know you all.Judy, audiobooks definitely count as reading! We're a pretty easygoing group - if Goodreads counts something as a book, that's plenty good enough for us. :)

This group was a way to keep myself challenged without having to commit daylight hours. Also, I totally count audio books. I drive a lot as well.
Hello all, my name is Nick and I recently joined Goodreads. I decided to pick up the 2015 challenge, only setting myself 15 which I know isn't much but I'm one of those silly people who doesn't allow himself much free time so I guess its a bit challenging for me. I had the great task of updating the books I've read so far this year to find that I'm already on track which can't be too bad.
Look forward to chatting with you all :)

I can't stand just listening to music so whenever I'm in a car or walking cross country home from work, I always have an audio book playing in the background... that and BBC radio comedy shows..
Hi I am Chris I love reading but raising three boys reading somehow just got pushed to the back, but now one has finished collage and working and the other two are in collage so I have much more time.I love this book challenge looking forward to talking with everyone.
Hello! Dragon Eyes here! I know weird right? Well, I'm the type of person who doesn't want others to know my name. It's just something that has been a phobia of mine. Now if you know me personally that's a different story. Anyways, I like to read and write. I can't wait to find friends with the same interests and be able to talk books with everyone!
Hi everyone! I'm Heidi, 38y single mom , two daughters (they love to read too:) ). Just found this site, and I'm so happy that I did. I read just about everything, am just not very much into classics or romance, but read those too. I dream of someday having my own library/reading room :)
