Introduce Yourself to the Group!

I am a newbie to the group. I am an SLP and love to read...my goal is at least 3 books this summer in the young adult genre. Any suggestions?"
Candace,
Have you read "The Chronicles of Nick" by Sherrilyn Kenyon? She has several different series, but this is a good one.

I love your name it reminds me of the book I just finished

For the most part, I like to read classic fiction and history/non-fiction. I have a degree in International Politics and Military History so alot of my reading falls roughly into this category.
Looking forward to chatting with you and hopefully getting some inspiration for future reading!

Welcome all - I am not the mod, but just saying Welcome!

Hey everyone, I just joined Goodread's a month or two ago and I have just started to become a bigger reader than before. My goal this year is to read 15 books and I hope that number will grow over the years. Recently I've been enjoying horror books, preferably Stephen King's, but I also like fiction, YA, and some fantasy and romance. I also have a few questions so if anyone is able to help please message me!!

My name is Jessica-- I am new to the group. I love to read when I find time for it! I am excited about being in this group!

I'm Amber, I'm new to this group, and kinda new to goodreads too. I really love to read, but don't we all? It's so amazing to see what all you guys read! I'd like to make new friends, so if you want to send me a friend request, be my guest! :)

I'm a big fantasy fan, and anything with magic in.
My favourite books recently have been the Magician's trilogy by Lev Grossman, and I'm a big Game of Thrones fan.
I've just started following some booky youtubers so hopefully I'll be finding some more books soon!

Truth be told, I was the kid who hated to read and struggled through assigned literature in school. Because of that, books intimidated me. It wasn't until I was in my 30s that I made myself pick up a book for the sheer pleasure of it. I now yearn for the time to turn pages and get lost in a story.
(Oh and I'm still in my 30s although the clock is ticking....loudly.)
Life has gotten in the way of picking up books oh so many times. I'm on a mission to stick my nose in a book a 100 times more than checking social media. This is my first goodreads group and I look forward to the monthly challenges (and the yearly).
I just finished The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (loved it!) and now on to The Boston Girl by Anita Diamant. I often enjoy 'fluff' reads to just take my mind off life -- easy reads that don't demand too much of me. Reading is my way to unwind from storms - there have been several lately.
My sweet neighbor and I are hoping to start a book club (in real life) soon. I'm excited! I'm looking forward to being a part of this group!
