Just found it, but can't help with unlocking since I don't use Tumblr, Instagram or Twitter. But I'm so, so curious.

Also they have a Grisha Quiz!! Too bad I don't use Tumbler or Instagram or Twitter. Share your results. Mine was The Darkling.
Just took the quiz, the result says I'm a Summoner. Some questions were difficult to answer, because I thought more than just one variant would be right for me. I'm going to try again :)Update: I took the quiz the second time, and I'm STILL a Summoner/ Etherealnik. LOL
Took the quiz... says The Darkling. I did not see that coming lol. Even took it twice, same result. A little surprised at how much I recognized myself in the description: "ruthless, charismatic, and secretive. You're an expert at reading the intentions and desires of others, but your own heart is a harder puzzle to solve. " No tumblr/twitter btw.

I just want to take a minute to squee that on their official site they refer to Alina and the Darkling by their shipper name: Unlock a DARKLINA scene.

Mostly you have to tweet, tumblr, etc about the book to get new content to show. We're not sure exactly what is it. They say it's new scenes from the upcoming book "Ruin and Rising."
I tried the first one (TUMBLR) and it didn't work.
Since it's the first day, I think some of it may be glitchy.
@WinterRose Yes, that was really cute. They did say Darklina. You have to admit the word has a nice ring to it :)

I'm kidding people. It's ABSOLUTELY speculative and unofficial. But that's my guess based on the Kirkus review, and revising the evidence so far.We talked about it a couple of pages back? I forget exactly the train of thought but I think Natalia was in that conversation too!! (WinterRose, Elena and Abigayle also come to mind.)

The tumblr task it's not working.
Also, I'm not sure if the unlocks should be automatic or after a certain number of people have completed them.
So far I don't think anyone's been able to unlock any content.
(But once they fix it, just log on to your twitter, tumblr, etc accounts. Then go to the grisha trilogy page, and just follow their instructions. They should take you directly to your already open twitter/tumblr/etc to complete the tasks.

I'm a tailor! :D also can someone unlock the excerpts and stuff for me because I don't have any of them and I'm so curious about this book! The days go by and we get closer and closer to reading R and R.

Oh hell, I just got a minor heart attack!! Not that I would mind Nicolai, still better than Mal( no offense Mal fans). But come on, on the site it was labeled as 'Darklina' scenes! How much cuter can it get? >.<
@Natalia- Here you go, the famous Kirkus review, it doesn't contain a lot of spoilers, but still, for me it kind of did have some: (view spoiler)But that's always the case when the reviewers read the whole book instead of an ARC.

Well, people are saying this kind of "content unlocking" has been done before for other series like "Ignite Me" and it takes a while.Does anyone remember how long it took for that other series: days, weeks? I just need to know if I should just forget about this and go back Deathless while I wait...
I'd like to think if it was based on a certain number of tweets/shares, they would say that. The fact that there's no reblog (or notes) for the posts on Tumblr makes me believe there's a glitch. It doesn't do anything after you share a tweet, and reblogging isn't working either.

Wow, I took a nap "and when I woke up, the world's fallen apart." ;)I think we should take a moment to recognize the official name for the DarklingxAlina shipping is Darklina instead of Alarkling. Yay! Also, don't get too worked up about Nikolina being endgame (no heartattacks please), Cari's right. Everything after I posted the suggestion/review is only speculative because there was small mention of the Darkling. However, the inside flap of R&R talks more about the Darkling than Mal but doesn't mention Nikolai.
I remember the chapter unlocks for Ignite Me... It only took days after the release of news but Shatter Me had a few thousand more followers than Shadow and Bone did. And it was a team effort, I hope R&R has a lot of fast-responding fans.

I think if Leigh didn't include his POV, she'd get an angry mob of fans outside her place haha. Agreed, the Darkling's too important to the story and the fans. If Kirkus intentionally left out the Darkling to hide suspense, then how off guard are we going to be when he shows up again?
Like what are these "growing powers" mentioned in the flap? Thinking back to when Ivan said "one of his powers" and when the Darkling said "you have no idea what I can make possible" is it possible that he can do more than spill darkness from his hands, amplify, give life to the shadows, and become a shadow that apparently shapeshifts?
Anyone going to talk about that line about Alina asking if the Darkling was worried about someone using his teeth or bones? Because I just saw the new darkling card thingys from the official grisha quiz, and under Darkling it said "human amplifier."Which we know he's an amplifier but seeing human tacked onto it, it reminds me of the discussion when someone asked Leigh about human amplifiers. That you know, they have to die to be used.
What if *no no no* the Darkling gives up his life for Alina so she can destroy the fold? What if it's not Mal that ends up being used, but the Darkling?

What if the human amplifier ended up being Bahgra? I just had that thought today after raking my brain trying to think of possible ways in which the Darkling didn't have to die. And I couldn't believe we didn't really notice earlier. There are after all 3 human amplifiers, counting Mal. Two known, after all.
I know Bahgra doesn't have many fans. I'm sure she's made many mistakes, having such a long life. No one in this series can boast of having clean hands. But I think she does love him, dearly. Perhaps when he was a boy she encouraged his ambition too much, and she's to blame for the path he took, whatever that is. Once it became clear he wanted the amplifiers she did not help him because she was worried. I think she has reason to be worried. Perhaps she's seen a similar situation happen before, with awful results. It's quite likely she knew Morozova, and that didn't end well, it seems.
It could be a redeeming moment for him to see her dying in his place. In S&S I think he believes she doesn't love him (because she defied him). If she died for him, he would understand how much she did.
On the other hand, it could turn out to be the other way: Alina desperate to know Mal has to die turns to Bahgra, who feels responsible for the whole mess and is full of regret. She accepts to become the amplifier. The Darkling finds out and decides to atone for everything, including what he did to her, and dies in her place.
I mean, I doubt Leigh lets us off the hook so easily... but if she did spared the Darkling, it could still be one hell of an ending. *bangs head on desk*
I'm just sure of one thing, when I will finish Ruin and Rising, I will comeback here and read all the crazy speculations we did, that will be funny, maybe we are completely imagining wrong things. I hope Leigh has an even more imagining mind than us to surprise us with something unexpected that we didn't think about, I just hope !!!

I'd love to see just way off track we were in our hopes and (crackpot) predictions. Personally the Darkling is the most interesting character and probably my favorite, but I don't exactly ship them, everything about Alina's relationships made me indecisive lol. Come June, we're going to have a bunch of depressed fans drowning in their ships. R&R's going to be my graduation gift and it can't come out soon enough.
Lol me too. I wasn't so off in my predictions with Cassandra Clare's Internal Devices, but this one is tricky.@ Cari, I really like your theory about Baghra being the amplifier. I think the only way she'd do it was to save her son, so that makes sense. I have a feeling something will happen with the fold that causes it to be uncontrollable, which is why the Darkling will realizes it has to be destroyed. Otherwise, it will wipe everything out. (Which we know the Darkling doesn't want. What's the point in ruling with no cities, land, or people to rule? lol)
But again, what will the Darkling do if he lives? Maybe he will go into hiding, but Alina will spread the rumor that the Darkling died a hero and helped destroy the fold. This way, should his "son" (remember the heir is supposedly in another location) AKA himself resurface in several years or so, he won't be hated entirely. He won't be targeted as an enemy. There's a REALLY good fanfic out there that features this headcanon I just don't remember what it's called.
