Max walked with them. He walked close to Alex to where their fingers would brush.

Max noticed Alex's smile and smiled to himself. Forbidden romances were scary and fun at the same time.
Gavin chatted to Max about his football when Alex got a call.
"Hey... yup... hmmm.... okay. Bye." she put her phone back in her pocket.
"Who was that?" Gavin asked.
"Daniel." she told him.
"What did he want?" he then asked.
"If I was free after school tomorrow?"
"Why?"
She rolled her eyes, "Why do you think?"
"Hey... yup... hmmm.... okay. Bye." she put her phone back in her pocket.
"Who was that?" Gavin asked.
"Daniel." she told him.
"What did he want?" he then asked.
"If I was free after school tomorrow?"
"Why?"
She rolled her eyes, "Why do you think?"
Max felt jealousy bubble up inside him. He tried to keep his face straight. He looked away for a bit.
"Are you going with him?" Gavin asked.
"Like you'd let me." she muttered.
"So you like him?"
"No!"
Gavin moaned, "Girls." he muttered to Max, "My sister is the worse."
"Like you'd let me." she muttered.
"So you like him?"
"No!"
Gavin moaned, "Girls." he muttered to Max, "My sister is the worse."
Max looked over at Gavin and forced a smile. He clenched his fists.
Alex was cross with her brother and steamed ahead, "See you at home."
Max started to calm himself down. He gave Gavin a look, afraid if he said anything he would blow his top.
Gavin looked over at Max, "I love her but she dosnt understand that the only things guys want is sex." he explained, "I can't cope with her getting hurt."
Max nodded. "Well I bet she'll find someone who doesn't want that." He thought worriedly.
Gavin chuckled, "I hope so. Maybe having another girl in the house would help." he took a breath, "I'm going to propose to Victoria tomorrow."
"Really?" Max said. "You never told me about this before." He gave him a shove.
Gavin grinned, "I'm telling you now. Besides she hasn't said yes and if she does then I need you to be a best man. Vikki wants Alex to be the maid of honour and it should all work." he said, "We have planned it for ages but I wanted to do it properly." he told him.
Gavin grinned at him and went running forwards to Alex who was sitting at the edge of the bridge, "Alex! Get down!" he yelled.
"It's like three metres down Gavin." she groaned.
"It's like three metres down Gavin." she groaned.
Max walked over to her and offered her a hand. Should I be doing this? He though, well too late now.
She took his hand and reluctantly jumped down, quickly moving away from him afterwards.
Max walked back over toward Gavin and Alex.
Alex scowled at Gavin and they all walked home.
They arrived at Gavin's house before long.
Alex put all her stuff down and glared at Gavin who called her over.
"If you want to see this, Daniel guy that's fine with me." he said.
"If you want to see this, Daniel guy that's fine with me." he said.
Max clenched his teeth. It was not okay with him.
Alex looked over at Gavin, "I'm fine thanks." she muttered and Gavin glared at her, "What is your problem? Go to your room." Alex scowled at him and a few moments later she slammed her door shut.
Max looked at Gavin, waiting to see what he would say.
Gavin groaned and rubbed his forehead, "I was going on a date with Vikki but that dosnt seem to be happening." Gavin groaned, "I really needed it."

"You can go on ahead. Propose to her and such. I'll watch Alex for you." Max said.
Gavin looked up at him, "You sure?" he asked but he was already grabbing her coat.
"Yeah." Max said. He waited for Gavin to leave.
Gavin left in a hurry and his car sped down the street.
Once he turned the corner Max walked up to Alex's room. He nocked on the door.
"Unless you are here to apologise Gavin then go away." she shouted but then went and opened the door, "I'm sorry... I thought you were Gavin."
"It's fine. Gavin went on a date with Victoria." Max said. He caught a glance of Alex's room. It looked nice and orderly for the most part.
"Yeah. She's cool." Alex said and walked back into her room, "You're welcome to come in," she said sitting on her bed.
Max sat down on the bed next to her. He looked around at her room.
She smiled as he looked around. It was surprisingly tidy but wasn't very big and had few colours.
"I like your room." Max said to Alex after he had finished looking around.
"Thanks..." she trailed off, looking at him, "I think we should talk..."
"About what?" Max asked. He moved a bit closer to Alex and wrapped an arm around her.
"About... us?" she said, "I mean... there is the stuff with Daniel and Gavin knew that I liked him and aggr... "
"Aggr?" Max asked, mimicking the last word she had almost said.
She playfully hit him, "I'm serious!" she laughed.
"So you did like this Daniel guy?" Max asked Alex, still wondering what Aggr was.
She nodded, "And for your information, aggr is a cool way of an annoyed groan." she chuckled noticing the confused look, "And as for Daniel, yes. I liked him."
"Do you still like him?" Max questioned.
Alex looked at him hurt, "What kind of person do you have me for? I wouldn't be like this with you if that was the case." she moved away slightly and turned around.
"Sorry." Max said. He looked away.
She gently took his chin and made him face her, "Look at me. You're... special."
"What do you mean special?" Max asked. He gently touched her hand.
