Eeep! Hi, Brownie! :D *glomp* That would be awesome. :D Good to see you! ^_^ Hope your busy-ness calms down!

It's been a long time since I've read The Scarlet Pimpernel, so that could be fun.

Oh, The Scarlet Pimpernel is public domain? Awesome! That one is great by me if everyone else wants to do it.
@Abi: No problem! And okay, if you'd not mind rereading it! :)
@Lauri: Yesssh. It's free on Kindle and everything. XD http://www.amazon.com/Scarlet-Pimpern...

@Odile: Okay, yay! Then let's say Scarlet Pimpernel is July. :) (Maybe House of Many Ways could be August? Or sometime. :))
@Odile: Okay, cool! I . . . guess I'll just list it for August, then. :)
@Abi: House of Many Ways is quite fun! You'd "get" a few things in it better if you've read Howl's Moving Castle and Castle in the Air, but it stands well on its own too. I hope you can find it! :)

Yay -- GO ODILE! :) I'm quite behind too and didn't even manage to get hold of Castle in the Air yet. o.o I hope your reading goes well! ^_^
I made a thread for House of Many Ways for August: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
So we have a month to come up with an idea for what to read in September. ;)

I am sooo tired and sorry I never got around to reading anything. yeah
Hi Autschi! *hugs* Aww, I'm sorry about your kindle--that's sad. :( I hope you will get untired! <3 Good to hear from you! ^_^ *more huggles*

So...my June and July sort of exploded and I ended up ignoring basically everything and yeah. I'm sooo sorry for literally dropping off the planet there. I think things will be a little quieter for a bit here, so maybe I can catch up on things. But hello! I've missed this group!
So do we have any suggestions for September's book?
@Lauri: Hiiii! Good to see you around here again! ^_^ And pfft, that's okay... LIFE GETS BUSY. :) We missed you too! Hopefully things will be calmer for you this month!
And no, we don't have any suggestions yet...

Hey everyone! ...Sorry I disappeared; I was away and have been insanely busy. -_- But I'm back now! :)
So... I guess we'll skip September seeing as how we're three weeks in... >.>
Do we want to try to figure out this week a book to read in October? Since we'll probably want to skip November, it being NaNo season and all...

I vaguely skimmed the thread and here are some that were suggested before, just to get ideas going?
The Princess Bride
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
The Penderwicks: A Summer Tale of Four Sisters, Two Rabbits, and a Very Interesting Boy
North and South
I Capture the Castle
The Importance of Being Earnest
Watership Down
maybe Ranger's Apprentice series? (first one is... The Ruins of Gorlan)
I Am the Messenger
Beauty or Spindle's End by Robin McKinley
I also noticed this the other day, which might provide some inspiration for ideas. :) https://www.goodreads.com/list/challe... I'm not sure I'm interested in most of them, but a few at least. :D
Like, I really want to read The False Prince! And also Seraphina, Sabriel, and Shadow and Bone, and a few others look cool -- mostly the fantasy interests me, but hey, I'm not against branching out. XD
The Thief Lord?
The Lost Years of Merlin?
Wuthering Heights?
something by P.G. Wodehouse? Have any of y'all read the Jeeves and Bertie books? They're so hilarious!
Probably not helpful throwing SO many ideas out there, but sometimes we can't think of any so wondering if this will help.
So! Do any of you guys have ideas of your own for books you'd like to read? :) Or do you think any of those sound cool?
If anyone has thoughts/ideas for something to read in October (and maybe December too!) that would be awesome. :)

@Odile: No problem! :) Oh, really? Congratulations! And... also good luck on all of the busy! Aww, sorry about that. *huggles* Ah, yes, The Scarlet Pimpernel--sounds good. :)
So do we maybe want to skip October (as well as November) since we're probably mostly busy? This is a busy time of year and we can always try to revive the group after NaNo. ;)

I did not really have internet in the past month because I moved to my own flat and I keep saying that but yeah. maybe it actually becomes true eventually?
Hi Autschi! ^_^ *glomps*
And awesome! :D We'll have to decide on a book for December, then... o.o Any ideas...? I honestly haven't thought about it in eons... sooo busy with NaNo. *flails and dies*

I thought The Scarlet Pimpernel would be cool partially because it's in the public domain so it's free on Gutenberg and Amazon kindle and stuff. So even if anyone couldn't find an actual copy, they could at least find a digital one. :) EVERYONE keeps telling me I need to read it. XD And we haven't done a classic in awhile.
I do plan to reread House of Many Ways and Ella Enchanted again sometime...
Yes, do throw suggestions! Thanks, Lauri! :)
