☾ Midnight Meets Moonlight ☽ The title says it all.

What I Like:
Dystopia
Fantasy
Sci-Fi
Romance
YA

Bookworm Have you tried the noughts and crosses series by Malorie Blackman?

Charbel Have you considered books by Rick Riordan? The Percy Jackson books are pretty good.

Rachel Across the Universe by Beth Revis is a really cool YA dystopia/sci-fi. It's part of a trilogy, but I've only read the first book so far and loved it.

Rita Dinis Here: a novella about angels, demons and... who knows what else.
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18...
Part one out of 3 is available here:
http://www.fictionpress.com/s/3132162...

The whole book will be out early 2014.
Let me know if you enjoyed it
:)

Cindy try "It Takes a Witch" by Heather Blake. Magic, mystery, and romance all in one!

Dana Smythe Try "What Lies Hidden" by Laura McConaughay. Fantasy adventure/mystery type stuff.

Amanda Try "Delirium" by Lauren Oliver. It is part of a trilogy and I have read the entire trilogy and it is spectacular!! You should give them a try. They are dystopian fiction novels.

Andrea Escaffi Not YA, but great, Stephen King's, The Talisman.

i've read it. but thanks

☾ Midnight Meets Moonlight ☽ Sandra wrote: "The False Prince (forgot author's name)
Savvy by Ingrid Law
The Mortal Instruments / Infernal Devices
Uglies
Leviathan
Graceling series
Percy Jackson series"

i've read tmi, tid, percy jackson and the uglies. thanks for the others!

sailor _stuck_at_sea Chris Wooding's A Tale of the Ketty Jay series is definitely worth checking out. It's more mature than his usual YA fare, but it's also his best work by far.
For the more traditional YA fantasy you can't really go wrong with Tamora Pierce's work, especially the Protector of the Small trilogy.

Ansley Have you read the "Hunger Games"?

Ansley Wait. You like Inuyasha?! YES!!

Jacob Steiner i know this does not match but try shilc

Natalie Angelfall by Susan Ee
Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
Just One Day by Gayle Forman
:)

Raptori There's a good chance that these books will make you lower your ratings for your other books - they're that much better than anything else I've read :P

The two fantasy series in particular seem like they'd be exactly your style.

Fantasy

Assassin's Apprentice (Farseer Trilogy, #1) by Robin Hobb Assassin's Quest (Farseer Trilogy, #3) by Robin Hobb Royal Assassin (Farseer Trilogy, #2) by Robin Hobb
Farseer Trilogy, Liveship Traders Trilogy, Tawny Man Trilogy, Rain Wild Chronicles, The Fitz and the Fool Trilogy (not out yet).
This whole series should go to the top of your list. The first and third trilogies follow the same main character, Fitz, all of which are great. The second trilogy is a bit more involved and complex - I actually think it's the best of the lot, but it doesn't appeal to everyone as much. The fourth series (which contains 4 books) isn't quite as good, but is still pretty entertaining. The first book in a new trilogy about the main characters from the first and third trilogies is coming out this year. (That makes 12 books currently available, soon to be 15)

I don't think there have ever been fantasy characters that I've heard of who are as loved as Fitz and the Fool from these books. Everyone who enjoyed the books says they feel like close friends that they miss terribly. I feel the same way. The length of the series might seem pretty daunting, but at the very least it's worth checking out the first book to get a feel for them.

The Final Empire (Mistborn, #1) by Brandon Sanderson The Well of Ascension (Mistborn, #2) by Brandon Sanderson The Hero of Ages (Mistborn, #3) by Brandon Sanderson
Mistborn Series
This trilogy is utterly brilliant, in some ways is even better than the Robin Hobb series (above), but I'd place them second simply because Fitz means more than the characters in these books. They're definitely worth a read though, and they sound like they'd appeal to you - it's a dystopian fantasy world with one of the best magic systems around. The fourth book isn't up to the same standard, but is still pretty entertaining.

Sci-Fi

Dune (Dune Chronicles, #1) by Frank Herbert
Dune
By a mile the best sci-fi book I've read. I didn't really enjoy the sequels, but the first book is incredible. For some reason a lot of people seem reluctant to read it, but the vast majority of people who try it love it.

Northern Lights (His Dark Materials, #1) by Philip Pullman The Subtle Knife (His Dark Materials, #2) by Philip Pullman The Amber Spyglass (His Dark Materials, #3) by Philip Pullman
His Dark Materials
The first book in this trilogy is called the Golden Compass in America because the publishing company is utterly stupid. There was also a film a few years back, which mangled the plot and flopped a bit - personally I was unimpressed with it. The books, on the other hand, are a great series taking place across several different parallel universes - the first book reads more like fantasy because of that. They're a really great series, but these days I'd put Mistborn and the Robin Hobb books ahead of this.

Karlee You should try the Maze Runner by James Dashner. Plus, the movie is coming out September 19, so . . . =]

The Maze Runner (Maze Runner, #1) by James Dashner

I'm no Rowling, but I write YA Fantasy/twisted fairy tale retellings. Check out The Subtle Beauty and Moonlight

I like to think that my writing is clean. No swearing and everyone keeps their clothes on :D

Georgianne "Legend", by Marie Lu and "The Darkest Minds" by Alexandra Bracken are both AMAZING books!!!

Aimee I love Cinda Williams Chima--I've never read a book she wrote that wasn't great! She write YA fantasy type books.

☾ Midnight Meets Moonlight ☽ Ansley wrote: "Wait. You like Inuyasha?! YES!!"

HELL YES I DO!

Kellie Mild Cinder by Marissa Meyer. It's a pretty good book. It is also a series so if you like it, you'll have even more books to read!

nekku I've got two Fantasy books
Artemis Fowl series and The Bartimaeus Trilogy

Elise Williams I like the same genre that you do, so here are my suggestions:
Artemis Fowl
The Rangers Apprentice
Everlost: The Skinjacker Trilogy
Harry Potter
Enders Game
The Golden Compass
Virus
Deep Sea

Authors:
J.K Rowling
Rat Falls
John Flanagan
Mary Lu
James Dashner

Dylan You might want to try a little something new in case you like it . I suggest Bryan Lee O'Malley's series Scott Pilgrim. This graphic novel is very whimsical and fun to read. Right now I'm currently reading Winter's End by Jean-Claude Mourlevat which was a very pleasant surprise. And one of my favorite action books is Think Of A Number. But I feel like you should check out books by authors you enjoy or challenge yourself to randomly pick a section of the library and pick one book from that area. You'll get some variety and might find a new favorite!
