I am currently fangirling over Makoto Shinkai's work, like garden of words, your name, and she and her cat.

Rainbow does sound interesting. I picked up the first volume of Ōoku: The Inner Chambers, Vol. 1 a while back but I would like to catch with the series (and other series which is a never ending process it seems.)

The Ancient Magus' Bride, Vol. 1 Nuff said. :)
It is nice you found a Harem manga with enough humor and awkwardness to offset the harem dislike. :) I recently read the Doubt series by Yoshiki Tonogai which is more of a psychological murder mystery based on the scenario of a murderer is among a group and they have to find them before everyone dies.

Hi there. :)
I am the opposite in that I watch some anime and read a lot (see collect) of manga. Sometime in February I am hoping to pick up a season of Fairy Tail now that the 6th Collection is out and i eventually have to catch up on One Piece DVDs :)

There are as many genres as there are movie types out there. :)
Being new did you know there are two different FMA series? The original Fullmetal Alchemist was created before the manga was completed and the second known as Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood follows the manga much better then the original. :)
I have been following "The Heroic Legend of Arslan" which is also created by Hiromu Arakawa.

Yen Press loves putting out light novels. I would love to get my hands on one of the Spice and Wolf special edition but alas I do not have the money for now at least. :)
Have you ever read the Negima series? Sure its basically a harem and can be goofy at times there were real menaces and as the series went on a whole world (literally) opens up. They also have a sequel to the series called UQ Holder which I enjoy.

Yes, I have read Negima (and loved it despite all the harem) and also read UQ Holder to some point, but now I am waiting for the story to grow a bit, because I got frustrated when I only got a few pages of ecchi girls for my weekly wait :V
For light novels I would love to have one for Densetsu Yuusha no Densetsu, though I doubt it will come out soon (I wanted to read it soo much that I tried the fan translation, however that wasn't written so well... )

Very new to manga. I have One Piece volumes 1-55 under my belt and thoroughly enjoying the series thus far. Check out my shelves to see what I plan on reading and if you have any suggestions I'd love to hear about them!
-Chris

Never considered the library... Haha my goodness this is a costly series. :)

At least it is between 7.99 to 9.99. I suggest Black Butler as I generally due but it is 13 bucks a book. Also Viz puts One Piece out in box sets. Shame you are already part way through the newest one. :) https://www.amazon.com/One-Piece-Box-...
Oh and Fairy Tail is another series similar to One Piece but with wizards instead of pirates and it is guild oriented.

Welcome Dewa. :)
Those are some fine choices, I have seen the anime but I have not yet collected Soul Eater or Soul Eater Not yet in Manga form yet myself. :)

Yea, these are definitley on my lists, and I actually did pick up the box sets lol.

Welcome back Bumble (suddenly I had an inclination to listen to the "Bawitdaba" song heh. ) There are so many great series that I wish you the best in whatever series you choose. Be sure to ask if you are looking for anything like suggestions *cough

Hi Defne nice choices (or at least I assume on Hanatsuki-Hime since I have not read it yet.) One thing I love about manga and in turn anime is the variety of titles and themes (although some try to become carbon copies of popular titles) so we can have just what we want when we feel like at the time. :)

I really, really love yaoi, yuri, shounen-ai, shojo-ai, ect. ect. If you knew any of the manhwa I listed, you'll know they're shounen-ai and yaoi.
I like vocaloid, too. I got introduced to it when one of my friends mentioned my name was almost like Miku, I asked who she was, she told me she was a anime/manga style character who is a vocaloid. She showed me vocaloid and I liked it, so yeah. If anyone could recommend some, that would be great,
I will be going to Anime Expo this year! I can't wait. I think I might cosplay as Mikasa from Attack on Titan or maybe Ciel from Black Butler. I also wanna go to yaoi-con I mean... Yeah...
Anyway, that's basically all about me that otaku related. Thanks for read and sayonara! I'm sorry... I'm so lame.

Hi Pearl. :) Welcome to the group and I hope you find some fun topics or perhaps new titles to hold your interest until your long anticipated chapters finally come out. :)

Thanks for this interesting topic.

I'm currently obsessed with Food Wars and wish it wouldn't take so long to publish in English!

I'm Cate and I grew up on anime. Having a Japanese aunt meant that I was gifted a lot of Sailor Moon and mecha stuff when I was little. And I looooved watching sentai shows.
I watched Yuyu Hakusho and Rurouni Kenshin in three languages. Those two and Voltes V are my favorite anime of all time. Of course, I have "current" favorites also. I have a soft spot for music and cooking anime. I've only started to dabble into sports anime... blame Yuri and Free for that! I'm also reading a couple manga currently. I do prefer them over graphic novels.
I go to a handful of conventions, especially Anime Expo.
And oh, voice actors are the most amazing people ever. ;-)

Hi Ian. Yes. Hopefully I could find new titles to read. Thank you very much

Hello Defne! Thanks for the add by the way. Oh I see but do you have stories in FF? Just asking. :)

Hi there Hally. :) I haven't read Pluto myself but Monster is one of my favorites. Thank goodness for tax returns and buy 2 get 1 free sales so I could finish the series, :)

Welcome to the Manga Hoarders Association. :)
I have a bit of a library myself and some of our members have even bigger collections so you are in welcomed company here. :)

Greetings Eh Tha Lay. I tend to get busy and enjoy a nice manga when I am away from home where I can easily get distracted. I am not sure if they allow manga in your school but if you wish you can fit a few pages here and there at lunch if you like.
Have you tried the anime Ranma 1/2? It is a bit dated but it has its funny moments as well as martial arts action. :)

Hiya Cate. It is nice to see we have a professional fangirl in our ranks. :) Yuyu Hakusho and Rurouni Kenshin are both great titles but I have not heard of "Voltes V" yet. I'll have to check it out someday. Thanks. :)

Hey Ian indeed in my school there isn't any manga because I live in the USA and I'll be forword to watch Ranma thanks for the recommendation, and if you haven't watch naruto yet, I recommend watching it.

Perhaps you can find manga at a local library. I know the libraries around here carry an assortment of manga and there are at least some people in this group that prefer to borrow or can't afford books on their own. I wish you the best wherever you find your manga fixes if you seek them out. :)

Fired up like Natsu huh. :) Welcome to the group Jeevi. :)

(anyone else incredibly happy that BnHA s2 is finally here?? Ik I'm ready to see animated Kacchan in bondage)

Salutations Miko. :)
I know what you mean about the art in a series...it can be very distracting if it is annoying or too distracting.

Welcome to the group Defne! I was interested in starting Black Butler, but heard mixed reviews about it. How is it to you?

Welcome Mika! You should try watching Mirai Nikki if you haven't seen it. The manga is good as well

Welcome to the group Pearl! I'm currently reading D.Gray-Man myself but, I'm still in the beginning haha. Have you tried reading Pandora Hearts?

Welcome Halima! Naoki is for sure a legend. I'm debating on getting into Pluto. How would you rate it so far?

Welcome Heather! Low key jealous that you have over 600 volumes haha. That's really awesome though! If you have Sailor Moon, I'm assuming you have Inuyasha as well?
