I have Allegiant (Divergent, #3) by Veronica Roth on hold (eeeeeeep the excitement) and have just checked out Heist Society (Heist Society, #1) by Ally Carter and Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices, #1) by Cassandra Clare - I've heard very good things about both series so I thought I'd check them out(literally). ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) (ilovebakedgoods) I'm on an A. S. King binge. I've checked out and read both Reality Boy by A.S. King and Ask The Passengers by A.S. King this past week. 5 stars, each!

And now I have sitting on the pile to read, Everybody Sees the Ants by A.S. King .

On hold and available for pick-up is The Dust of 100 Dogs by A.S. King . I have already read her Vera Dietz book and loved it. Those are all of her books that my library carries.

I've also got out Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell , Just One Year (Just One Day, #2) by Gayle Forman , and Living with Jackie Chan by Jo Knowles .

ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) (ilovebakedgoods) I hate it when my library's database is shut down. It's a lifeline for me when I decide on a whim to see if they carry a certain book I'm in the mood for. Well, it looks like you have a lot of books to keep you occupied until the library lets you hold books again.

3 weeks?! I would not be able to deal!

25 books! YAY! I would request that many but they would all come in at the same time and I don't want to be lugging out 25 books. Do you pick them up all at the same time?

message 387: by Jacquelyn, thebrunettebooknerd (new)

Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments That is awesome, Trisha!

The only thing is, I get all kinds of weird looks from my librarians! There is one librarian that I love but some people act as if I am too much work getting out 6 books. :(

message 388: by Caitlin (new)

Caitlin (caitlinvautour) one of the librarians at my library dosent even need my card she knows my first and last name so she dont need my card lol. dont let those librarians get to u they wouldnt have a job if it wasnt for people like us. i used to not like one of the ladys at my library til i got to know her. try talking to them as they check you out ask them what they are reading or what tv shows they like you may find that you have something in common and will be able to talk when you go in and make the the experience better

message 389: by Jacquelyn, thebrunettebooknerd (new)

Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments Yeah, I mean they love reading so they should be happy when people are getting out a bunch of books to read! Thanks for the tips! (:

ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) (ilovebakedgoods) My librarians know my whole family by name and they chit chat with us and stuff. It's very friendly. I don't know if it matters that we go to the children's branch or not.

Jacquelyn, don't let the weird looks get to you. Maybe they are just having an off day or maybe you are perceiving the looks as weird when they really are something else. Just be friendly and make small talk if you think it'll be more comfortable. Or don't go to the ones who give those looks. Stand in line for your favorite one if it's worth it.

message 391: by Jacquelyn, thebrunettebooknerd (new)

I have a huge library bag, too. I got it from the store at Unshelved.com, which is a web comic about librarians. I love this comic! My bag says "Read Responsibly", hehe.
