I have
on hold (eeeeeeep the excitement) and have just checked out
and
- I've heard very good things about both series so I thought I'd check them out(literally). I liked the first TMI so I guess I'll like TID too :)

I just picked up
because I'm almost done with Cinder and want to be able to start on it right away

wow, my library is updating their catalog so they SHUT DOWN their system - I had to drive to 4 different branches today to get my books :(I still couldn't get them all. Ugh, I have another 2 weeks before they open the catalog back up so I can hold/request books...
Oh my goodness! That must of been a pain! At least your libraries were open! Mine are closed today and tomorrow of course. Looks like you got some good books though!
Wow, that's a lot of books AND a lot of running! Lol
I hate it when my library's database is shut down. It's a lifeline for me when I decide on a whim to see if they carry a certain book I'm in the mood for. Well, it looks like you have a lot of books to keep you occupied until the library lets you hold books again.

lol Mine shut down their catalog system so we couldn't request any books so I had to drive all over the placeAND they wouldn't put in any of the new books until the new system was up and it took 3 weeks!! LOL! that's a LIFETIME!! So glad they are back open
I have another 25 books in transit to me :D yay!
i love the library!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! most time i just go in to return books and pick up the ones that are on hold and end up coming out with a bag full of books. i need more time to read!

3 weeks?! I would not be able to deal!
25 books! YAY! I would request that many but they would all come in at the same time and I don't want to be lugging out 25 books. Do you pick them up all at the same time?

That is awesome, Trisha! The only thing is, I get all kinds of weird looks from my librarians! There is one librarian that I love but some people act as if I am too much work getting out 6 books. :(
one of the librarians at my library dosent even need my card she knows my first and last name so she dont need my card lol. dont let those librarians get to u they wouldnt have a job if it wasnt for people like us. i used to not like one of the ladys at my library til i got to know her. try talking to them as they check you out ask them what they are reading or what tv shows they like you may find that you have something in common and will be able to talk when you go in and make the the experience better
Yeah, I mean they love reading so they should be happy when people are getting out a bunch of books to read! Thanks for the tips! (:
My librarians know my whole family by name and they chit chat with us and stuff. It's very friendly. I don't know if it matters that we go to the children's branch or not. Jacquelyn, don't let the weird looks get to you. Maybe they are just having an off day or maybe you are perceiving the looks as weird when they really are something else. Just be friendly and make small talk if you think it'll be more comfortable. Or don't go to the ones who give those looks. Stand in line for your favorite one if it's worth it.
Teresa, thanks! I don't worry about it to much but sometimes it just bothers me! There are a few very nice librarians who I love so I will wait in line for them next time! (:

I have a huge library bag, too. I got it from the store at Unshelved.com, which is a web comic about librarians. I love this comic! My bag says "Read Responsibly", hehe.
Maybe I should have a huge library bag too! It would be much easier than trying to stuff all of my books in my small backpack!

I highly recommend a huge library bag, LOL! They're very handy and I just think it's fun to have a bag that is especially designated for my library books.
Just put some books on hold:
Unshelved has a bag similar to mine but with a new saying. I love this bag so much. It's quality made and huge. This bag. It's only $18. I bought mine probably 8 years ago and it still is in great condition.
i am not allowed at the library with a big bag i take way to much out and i swear when i have alot of books out it takes me forever to read the book im reading. lol not always but i feel like most of the time its that way lol. i usually have a huge hold list right now i dont but thats ok
