Noah was surprised when she rubbed his back, automatically stiffening. A default response he had long since stop trying to get rid of. "I am not the worry wort you think I am." he said after a moment, lifting his head to look at her.

"I know...I...I just miss home..." she whispered.
Noah sighed. "I'm sorry." he said softly, searching her face.
"Why are you so dismissive about this?" he said, almost angry.
She cringed, "Because I understand why you did it but it doesn't change that everyone in my foster family gives me this weird look and is always mocking me for everything I do. At least mom was family. At least there I had hope..."
Noah ran his hand roughly through his hair and decided to do something very unlike him. "Then stay with me. I swear it'll be like I don't even exist. But if that's how you feel about let me do something to help you."
She kinda felt he'd done enough, "Look, that's very sweet of you to offer, but I'm just getting used to my new house. I don't really want to pack up and move again."
Noah groaned and stood up, walking back and forth on the sidewalk. Trying to get out his frustration. "You," he said turning to look at her. "Are very difficult."
That hurt, she stood, "Sorry for actually missing my family. Two hours ago I swore I'd never forgive you. Be grateful I at least did that much. You don't understand me, so stop acting like your solution to my life is perfect, because I didn't see any problems in it until you tried to fix it."
"I don't have a perfect solution to your life!" Noah gritted out. "I understand I changed basically everything. I get that you thought nothing was wrong because under all circumstances I'm sure you felt safe. It was home, where you lived, slept. I destroyed it, I get it." he said, pausing to take a breath. "Believe me, I understand. 1 foster home is enough to drive you nuts, 5'll kill ya, I know."
"I didn't want a solution! I trusted you! I told you because I thought you'd leave it be! You say you understand but obviously you don't! If 5'll kill you, why should move in with you before you through me out of there too! I'm sorry your life sucks, but don't go ruining mine over it!" she yelled. He never listened. Never.
