Brody rolled his eyes a little and moved off the bed back into his chair, giving re nurse more room to work. "No more dreams. I don't know how well either of us slept, but Joelle didn't really wake up at all." He said, knowing those cause he was awake most of the night.

Jake smiled a little bit as he let her kiss all over his face and neck. He helped her get his jeans off not caring at the moment what time it was of how many more hours he got to spend with his fiancé just enjoying her touch. "I love you more." He replied kissing her again and sliding his fingers over her rounded belly. (For now let's just skip it))
Wyatt frowned," Next time we are staying at my house then." He said softly knowing that even then her father would get mad at her but he just wanted to make sure she was going to be alright. He stopped moving her as he settled against her headboard just holding her close. "Go to sleep okay if you can ill be right here all night I won't let your father scare me away from you." He told her softly kissing her head lightly as if he could take the pain away just by holding her
The nurse nodded a little bit," Okay that's good just making sure." She replied giving her a little more medicine in her IV. "Is it easier for you to move around or does everything still hurt pretty bad?" She asked Joelle shrugged a little," still hurts a lot but not as bad." She replied softly
The nurse nodded," that's good it means you are getting better."
((Okay))Sofia lay contentedly next to her fiancée, still a little out of breath as she recovered from her climax. "Mmm, you're kind of amazing, did you know that?" she murmured and kissed his slick shoulder lightly, rolling onto her side to wrap her arm around him. A warm, glowing happiness filled her now. She wasn't thinking about him leaving or whatever came after; she was just enjoying this moment with her man.
Jake laughed a little bit though he was a bit out of breath too. "I think it would be you who are kind of amazing." He replied moving so he was on his side facing her. He let his eyes travel her body a little bit before looking back at her with a smile as kissed her head softly. "I love you so much Sofia." He said softly hugging her close. Right then the last thing on his mind was what was going to be happening the next morning. He smiled a little bit as his breathing slowed to normal
"Mh, we will see. He doesn't scare me." Grace murmured, shifting a little and then settling against him comfortably. "I'm okay, Wyatt, I promise. I just don't want you to leave." She said softly and hugged him a little. There were only a few more hours until they would need to wake up anyway, but the encounter had left her exhausted. "Night." She whispered, half asleep already.
Brody nodded a little. "Good." He said quietly and leaned back in the chair, staying quiet as the nurse checked all the machines and whatever else she needed to do.
"He doesn't scare me either but i think it will be better for you at my house." He muttered but nodded a little bit as she said she would be fine. "Alright then get some rest." Wyatt told her softly as he leaned his head against the wall just sitting up with her. He closed his eyes and murmured," good night Gracie." As he let himself drift back off to sleep
The nurse finished up an then said," Someone will be into bring you both some food to eat." She said and went to the door. Joelle nodded slightly as moved her bed to sit up a little bit," Thank you for staying." She said softly
Sofia rolled her eyes. "Whatever you say, love." She said and laughed a little, kissing him gently as she too caught her breath. "I love you more." She murmured with a soft smile, tracing patterns into his bare chest with her fingertips. "You should let me see these more often." She teased, playfully tracing the outline of one of his ab muscles. He was much more attractive than he gave himself credit for, and Jake was usually more modest than a lot of guys she knew.
Jake chuckled softly," you need to believe what I tell you Sof." He replied laughing a little and then kissing her again." I'm not going to argue with you right now." He told her teasingly kissing her nose and then laughing softly. "You mean you want me to walk around with my shirt off?" He asked knowing if she asked him to he would but on his own he wouldn't take his shirt off without some coaxing from Sofia.
Grace fell asleep quickly this time, not waking up until the alarm went off a little before 7. She groaned and hit the button to turn it off, her other arm wrapping tighter around Wyatt instinctively. She blinked her eyes open slowly and sat up, surprise to find Wyatt still there next to her. She rubbed his chest gently, remembering what he had said about her waking him up. "Wake up, Wyatt." She murmured, kissing his closed eyelids gently. She ran her thumb over his soft lips, so grateful that he had stayed with her. "It's time to wake up." She said a little lighter, placing a gentle kiss on those soft lips.
Brody nodded and gave her a slight smile. "Thank you. That would be appreciated." He said honestly and looked over at Joelle "you're more than welcome, Jo. I'll stay whenever you'd like me too." He said honestly and gave her a genuine smile. His eyes were bloodshot from lack of sleep and his hands throbbed, but he was much happier now than he had been yesterday now that he knew that she was getting better.
Sofia laughed loudly, shrugging a little with a playful smile. "Occasionally, perhaps." She teased, though she did think it would be nice to see him walking through their house shirtless. She yawned a little and stretched, resting her one hand on her round belly. "You just don't want to argue because you know I'll win." She mumbled under her breath and rolled we eyes playfully. She was more tired than usual after doing that, but she was more tired than usual after doing most things nowadays. "Wouldn't you like it if I walked around with my shirt off?" She probed playfully.
Wyatt groaned softly as she woke him up the next morning. "What's going on?" He asked softly still half asleep with her in his arms. He sighed softly and looked down at her remembering why he was there. He smiled gently," ohh right I remember." He answered kissing her softly. Wyatt had slept peacefully the rest if the night with her not once waking up or really moving
The nurse nodded as she walked out of the room. Joelle smiled slightly," okay then." She replied then took a breath," Maybe we should switch places so you can sleep." She offered softly looking at him and thinking he didn't look like his normal self to her
Jake laughed softly," well maybe your wish will come true honey." He replied still laughing a little bit. "No because I'd just rather not argue with you tonight." He answered grinning at her," I don't want you to lose." Jake looked down at her as she stretched and then wrapped the blankets up around both of them. "Okay okay you got me there." While he was reserved about most things he did like to admire Sofia.
Grace smiled softly, watching him as he slowly came to. "Hey there, cutie. Good morning." She said quietly and bit her lip as she looked at him, kneeling on the bed while still wrapped in his arms. "Thank you, again, for staying with me last night." She said softly, her green eyes wide and earnest as she looked at him. "It means...so much to me." She said honestly, reaching out to lightly run her fingertips over his soft lips. Wyatt was such an amazing man, even more so than she had thought. He had turned from the goofy boy she had fallen in love with and made her best friend, into a strong and caring, beautiful man. It shocked her that she hadn't seen it before.
Brody scoffed and shook his head. "Of course not, Jo. I'm fine." He said and gave her a reassuring smile. "I'm just glad you're getting better. Hopefully now we cant start to try and put this whole thing behind us." He said softly and looked at her with questioning eyes
Sofia smirked. "Told you." She said and kissed the side of his neck lightly. "I will be looking forward to seeing some changes around here when you get back, then." She teased and poked his stomach playfully. She sighed and scooted closer to him, soaking in the warmth from his body. "Tonight was kind of perfect." She murmured softly and looked over at him. "Thank you."
Wyatt smiled a little bit at her," good morning Gracie." He murmured still waking up slowly. He nodded a little bit," You're welcome I told you whatever I could do to make you happy I would." He said softly looking at her with his clear brown eyes. "I promised and I don't take back my promises." He reminded. Wyatt smiled slightly as he felt her fingertips on his lips. He looked at her and kissed her fingers lightly. Wyatt couldn't believe that the sweet little girl he used to hang around would one day turn into the beautiful woman he was hugging. He didn't think he could get luckier than to have her in his life
Joelle smiled a little bit and nodded," if you say so." She replied quietly. She shrugged a little bit and looked away from him for a second," I hope so too." She replied softly looking back at him. Joelle sighed softly and yawned once before the nurse came back with two treys of food," alright there's one for both of you but Joelle I know you might not be hungry but I need you to eat a little bit of whatever you want on here okay?" Joelle nodded slightly.
"I know you don't, Wyatt." Grace said softly, smiling when he kissed her fingers. "And I love that about you. But just...promise me that you won't compromise your happiness for mine." she said softly. "If you ever feel uncomfortable or..I don't know, just promise that you'll talk to me about it instead of not saying anything just to keep me happy." she said softly, looking down at the sheets as she did so. She wanted this to be a real, honest relationship with Wyatt. She didn't want it to be just because she was sick and he wanted to do things for her. If they were going to do this, she wanted to do it right.
Jake laughed softly," sure sure if you insist I might cave into what you want from me. But you will have to remind me when I get back home." He replied kissing her head. He nodded," kind of perfect I thought tonight was perfect." Jake replied looking at her. "You're welcome but thank you." He said hugging her close. " Im pretty sure I would be like a lost puppy without you around."
Brody touched her hand lightly, knowing it was going to be hard for her to move past this but committed to being there for her until she did. He took the two trays from the nurse and nodded, carefully positioning the bed table over Joelle and setting her tray on it. "Thank you." he told the nurse, once everything was set, sitting back into the chair with his own tray. He looked at the food doubtfully. "Hospital food has to be edible, right?" he asked, glancing skeptically up at Joelle.
Wyatt nodded," I promise." He answered," But in the few days since you told me about everything have I changed my attitude towards you except maybe a little more affectionate?" He asked looking at her and reaching out to make her look at him. "I don't want you to be sick or anything but I can't change that the least I can give you right now is me just being with you like I always have been." He replied. "I want you to be happy yes but im also still me so I will tell you if I don't want to do something."
Joelle looked down at their hands and then at Brody for a second before the nurse walked into the room. Joelle made her bed sit up to be closer to the bed table. She looked back at Brody and offered him a faint smile as she took her mask off to she could eat. The nurse nodded a little bit," alright eat up."
Joelle looked back at Brody as she left and shrugged," I guess it doesn't look too good though."
Sofia rolled her eyes. "It was perfect, Jake. It's an expression." she said and pinched him in the arm playfully. "I think you'd make a cute lost puppy." she teased, looking over at him with sparkling eyes. "But I'll always be here for you, baby. Don't you worry about that." she said softly and kissed his cheek gently. She gasped a little, looking down at her stomach, which oddly had just twitched. "Look!" she whispered, as a little baby foot or arm or head (she wasn't sure what part, really) pushed against her from the inside, visibly moving a part of her belly. "You can see him moving." she said quietly, awestruck and afraid to talk too loudly incase she would scare the baby and make him stop. "Oh my gosh."
Grace smiled, gently taking the hand that was holding her face and kissing his palm. "I'm glad you're still you, Wyatt. I was beginning to think you were somebody else." she teased, trying to lighten the mood. She sighed and squeezed his hand before reluctantly crawling out of bed, wrapping her arms around herself as the warmth of Wyatt and the bed was suddenly absent. "I'm going to change in here. You can use the bathroom if you want. Your bag is still out in the living room, though." she said apologetically, not wanting him to run into either of her parents when he had to go out to get it. She didn't think they would be awake yet, but there was always a chance.
Brody frowned a little as he watched Joelle; she seemed to have been in much higher spirits last night than she was right now. "Eh, I'm sure it'll be okay." he replied, taking a sip out of the milk they had brought him. "Do you need help with anything?" he wondered, not sure exactly how her injuries had affected her and what she would or wouldn't be able to do for a little while.
Jake laughed softly a little more and nodded then said," Ouch you pinch hard." He muttered poking her arm," I would not make a good lost puppy.. That would make me an awful navy man." He replied. He chuckled softly and then looked down at her moving belly and grinned." Has he never done that before?" He asked softly not wanting him to stop because it made it even more real that the baby was there and jake honestly couldn't wait to meet the little guy
Wyatt smiled glad that they could just talk like they always did and not worry about the other getting upset or anything. He watched as she got out of bed and then nodded," okay well then I'm going out to face whatever is out there while you change in here then we can go out for breakfast if you want then head off to te doctors." He offered softly getting up also and stretching a little bit the running his hands through his hair making it stick up in different directions
Joelle looked at him," why are you looking at me like that?" She asked softly before looking down at her food and then taking a small forkful of eggs. "Ummm I think I can manage if not you'll be right there..?" She stated in a sort of question. She looked over at him still a little shaky in he movements but she was trying to be like herself
Sofia rolled her eyes at him, but couldn't help but laugh. "I don't think you'd be a navy man if you were a puppy, no." she agreed, still giggling over the ridiculousness of that idea. She shook her head as they watched together, not even wanting to breathe too hard as she moved the sheet out of the way so they could see better. "No, never. I think I would have noticed if he had." she answered softly, her face glowing with love. "There's actually a baby in there." she whispered in awe, glancing up at him. It was one thing to see the sonogram pictures and imagine their baby, but it was another thing entirely to actually see him, alive and growing inside her. It was both amazing and daunting at the same time.
Grace couldn't help but laugh at his crazy bed head. He looked so adorable just then, and it was even cuter that he didn't even seem to notice the way he looked. "Get out of here, Wyatt. Go take a shower and fix that hair." she demanded playfully, throwing a tee shirt at him that had been laying on the floor. She listened as he exited, thankful that she didn't hear any other voices in the house as he got his stuff.
Jake chuckled softly and leaned his head slightly against hers as they watched Kaden moving around in her. He grinned as he looked down at her." He's really there." He said softly. "He's going to be here soon and we will get to really stare at him then." He mused softly still talking quietly so that they could still watch Kaden a little bit
"Like what?" Brody asked innocently, turning his attention back to his food. He didn't want her to know that he was worried about her; he just wanted her to see her best friend so he could be there to help her and cheer her up. He caught her hand and gently lowered it and the fork back onto the tray, his eyes serious as they looked into hers. "Yes, I'll be right here if you need anything, Joelle. I promised, remember? I'm not leaving until you send me away." he told her seriously before letting go of her hand and sitting back in his chair. He didn't know what to do to make her believe that he was going to stay as long as she wanted him there.
Wyatt really didn't know about his hair but he laughed a little and threw the shirt back at her," ohh hush you.. I'll fix myself when I get dressed." He replied walking to her door and walking to the living room the grab his stuff and get into the bathroom before her mom or dad could say anything it they were up yet.
"Like you were upset or something." She replied still speaking quietly just because her throat was a little raw as she had been screaming a lot the day before trying to get someone's attention. Joelle looked at Brody as he caught her hand and she nodded slightly," okay ill try to remember."
Sofia smiled softly, moving ever so slightly to lay back down on her own pillow. "I can't wait." she murmured. "We'll be able to touch his little hands and his little feet, and we'll hear him cry, and we'll get to hold him and dress him and feed him." she whispered thoughtfully, smiling just imagining being able to do those things. "I think I'll stare at him too much." she added and laughed softly. "I won't be able to look away."
Thankfully, Grace's parents weren't awake yet. They would be spared a fight this morning. Grace changed into a comfy pair of shorts, a tee shirt, and tennis shoes. She wasn't sure exactly what she would be going through today, but she knew that comfortable clothes were the way to go. She also grabbed a jacket just incase. She brushed through her hair before going out to sit on the couch and wait for Wyatt. She found herself getting more nervous by the minute as she sat there alone, the butterflies in her stomach becoming impossible to ignore.
"I'm not upset, Jo. Just tired." Brody answered honestly and looked up at her as he quickly worked through his breakfast without really tasting it- not that it had much taste anyway. "How are you feeling?" he asked softly, trying to keep his concern for her off his face. He knew the nurse had said she was getting better, but he wanted t hear it from her. He wanted to know how she felt she was doing- and not just physically.
Jake moved slightly so he was laying on his side staring at her with a grin. "Yeah we will get to do all of those things with him." He said softly letting his eyes wander over her again just trying to remember what was happening right then so he could think of it when he got lonely out at the naval base. He smiled," You think you are going to stare at him too much I think that will be my job when I get home or actually when I talk with you." He replied grinning just a little bit. " he's going to be stared at so much he won't know what is going on."
Wyatt just put on some jeans and a regular tee shirt after taking a quick shower to wet down his hair. He was being quiet too so as not to wake her parents before they could slip out of the house. He walked out after drying his hair and making sure this time it wasn't sticking up. "You ready Gracie?" He asked softly after putting his stuff back in his bag.
Joelle looked at him and then nodded slightly going back to slowly eating her own breakfast. She was still not hurry but she managed to take a few bites of her egg and toast before she just set everything back down," I guess I feel better."'she replied softly," But I just don't feel safe anymore like he's going to come here any minute."
Sofia giggled, lightly touching the spot he was kicking with her fingertips. "I don't think he's going to know much of what's going on anyway, love." she explained softly, moving a little closer to Jake for warmth since the blanket wasn't over her anymore. "He'll be so little, I don't think he will understand a whole lot for a while." she said with a yawn, closing her eyes. She was so happy just then, she wanted to hold onto that moment forever
Grace nodded and stood up from the couch, grabbing her purse before quietly opening the door for him. "Where are we going for breakfast?" she asked as they walked to his car. She wasn't sure how much she could eat with how nervous she was, but she was grateful to be out of the house and at least doing something before she had to go to the hospital.
Brody sighed, staring down at his empty plate silently for a minute. He just didn't know what to do to help her realize that she was safe now. He placed the tray on her bedside table and then took hers as well, moving the bed table out of the way. He sat down beside her on the bed and looked down into her eyes. "Allen is gone, Joelle. He will be gone for a very, very long time. And he will never be allowed near you again." he said softly and kissed her forehead gently. "You;re safe now."
Jake nodded a little bit and chuckled softly watching her stomach." Yeah I guess you are right about that one." he answered. "But still is rather be here with you two than with all the guys in my unit" he replied softly. He sighed a little pulling her close to his chest and gently tapping her hand as she moved closer to him. He pressed his nose into her hair and sighed softly
