What are you reading? (Part 1)
Kayzee wrote: "any one read the wicked lovely series?I've read the first three books in the series and have a request in for the fourth when it becomes available at my library. I enjoyed them (see below), but they aren't books I would spend money on if my library didn't carry them.
Wicked Lovely - 4-1/2 stars
Ink Exchange - 4 stars
Fragile Eternity - 4 stars
I can't pinpoint why I only like these books, not love them. I enjoy the stories, but at the end of each book, I'm left dissatisfied. Like the author did a "..." at the end and left it at that. I know real life doesn't end all HEA, but some resolution would be nice.
Still working on Shadow of the Wind... there's not much interesting about this story. It's making it hard to get through. =(

I just finished Fragile Eternity which I liked much better and you can download the 4th Stopping Time (which is more a continuation of Ink Exchange) here for free in two parts at the moment. http://www.harperteen.com/feature/Sto...
Wicked Lovely is also free there at the moment.
I've just started reading Immortal in Death, the third book of the In Death series and I'm currently loving it. I wonder how all the other books will turn out, considering there are like.. 30 something books in the series. ^^

I just got started with this series last month after having it recommended to me for years!

I know what you mean, this was one my favorite so far. I have a lot of questions and am not happy with the way somethings went down.
I didn't really like the first succubus (Goergina Kincaid) book, didn't hate it either. I wondered if the books got better as the series matured. Sounds like they do.

today and am very much hooked"I'm starting that book later today since my copy showed up last night in the mail! :)
I keep getting Melissa Marr and Holly Black mixed up for some reason. I went to read Fragile Eternity and I was like oh wait have I started this series LOL.As a result I am going to begin again with Wicked Lovely and the Mage in Black
I finished
by Jacquelyn Frank. It started out a little slow but picked up towards the middle of the book. I did like Jacob better but will probably move on to Elijah next month. I'm now reading
Last was
which was hard reading, but I loved.Currently is
which I'm loving for very different reasons. It's fun, funny and serious.Next is
which came in yesterday's mail!
Just finished Enchantment Emporium by Tanya Huff. A little tough to get into at first but then I really liked it. I would read another book featuring Allie Gale in the future. Now on to the newest Mercy Thompson book! So excited :-).

I hope she writes more about the family in the future.
It said on wiki that its a must read but my library didnt have it because its not apart of the series lol. I brought it tho and then I'm going to donate it to the library lol And im going to download then... Im just such a sucker for the fae!!!
Isn't The Echantment Emporium an off shoot of Huff's Summoning series, not the same characters maybe, but the same family? Summon the Keeper and The Second Summoning? I got the Summoning books because I liked TEE so much. And apparently there's more in this series too...(I like pretty much everything I've read by Huff: the Blood books, the Smoke books and the Torin Kerr military sf series...)

The Flooze (Michelle M.) wrote:I wasn't a huge fan of Magic Bites. But, friends encouraged me to keep read..."I heard of the series from this group. A lot of people here said good things about it so I put it down as my New Author for the reading challenge. I haven't gotten far enough to decide if I like this one or not, but I'll keep what you said in mind. Unfortunately, it seems like a lot of series suffer from "First Book Syndrome."
SOME ONE HELLP ME PLEASE!~!!! I need a good nice description of peeta using quotes form the book ! i hope one of you have it with you ! stupid me i left mine at my school and i have a book review due tomorrow !! and its second class ! i need the quotes to prove how peeta is a memoriable Character
Lisa MH wrote: "I heard of the series from this group. A lot of people here said good things about ..."Yes, the dreaded FBS!
She's very reined-in throughout this book, so it made it hard for me to connect to her. In the subsequent installments her personality really shines and the snarky attitude is prevalent.
I hope you enjoy it from the get-go! But I figured I'd add my two cents just in case.

I haven't felt any connection to Kate yet but I'm only a couple of chapters into it, so it's still too early to make any judgements. I'll definately give it time. :)
Currently reading The Reckoning by Kelley Armstrong which is the final book in her Darkest Powers trilogy. Also listening to Heat Lightning by John Sandford on the way to/from work. Really enjoying this one... Virgil is a great character. Very different from Lucas (from the Prey series), but in a good way. :)

You should definately hang in there... I've read the entire series and it keeps getting better and better. In subsequent books Kate is reminiscent of early Anita Blake-SHE IS AWESOME!!!! And Curran, OMG just wait until you read about him-he is soooooo worth it.
Crystal wrote: "You should definately hang in there... I've read the entire series and it keeps getting better and better..."I will definately read them. I love early Anita. These sound great! :)
I am reading
by Libba Bray. Its a Y/A my origional passion untill I transferred to urban lol. About a boy who gets the human form of mad cow disease and hillusinates stuff. While on a journey so find some docter. I am really enjoying it so far!!!
Reading Thirst by Christopher Pike (I stop due to a bizarre event that happen in that book.. I'm deciding whether I should continue or not).and I'm also reading Daugthers of the Moon by Lynne Ewing. so far its good. hehe
Some pure fantasy atm. Crown of Stars series by Kate Elliott. Up to the fourth book, Child of Flame. Later I'll move on to Changes (love Jim Butcher) and The Reckoning by Kelley Armstrong.
Just finished Dead Tossed Waves...sequel to Forest of Hands and Teeth...and LOVED it. I had also picked up Nicholas Sparks' The Last Song - not sure why - guess because I liked the other movies that came out based on his books and thought I should try another genre for a change - but I have to admit that I'm struggling to finish it, and I kind of made a pact with myself to finish every book I spend hard earned money on!
That's a good pact. Though it really hurts when all you want to do is move on to a better book.Just finished Some Girls Bite, now moving on to Dream Girl.
Dream Girl

Yes, I read Wicked Lovely - at least I've read the first two, and I recently purchased the third. I don't remember enough to give a synopsis, but you can always read it on Wikipedia.
Just out of curiosity, what do you mean it's not even in the series if it's essential to understanding the third book?
