"I read the Juliet Blackwell book a while back and didn't like it. I've discovered that I'm pretty much in the minority on that. I've read too many reworkings of the La Llorona legend, I guess.
I'm in the middle of Skinwalker by Faith Hunter and I just got my ARC copy of Truly Madly, by Heather Webber, but that has to go to the bottom of the pile, I have three books ahead of it lol.
Melodie wrote: "Valorie wrote: "I just finished Secondhand Spirits: A Witchcraft Mystery by Juliet Blackwell and really enjoyed it. A cute and funny paranormal mystery. I'm now reading [bookcover:D..."Well that's a bummer. I had never heard of the legend. Sorry you didn't enjoy the book.
I just finished
by Anton Strout. Really enjoyed it. Kinda reminded me of Harry Dresden. Really smart, witty writing. Great Urban Fantasy book. I'm now reading
Okay I finished Skinwalker by Faith Hunter and Flirt by Laurell K Hamilton. Now I'm at a crossroads on what to read next. I've got A Rush of Wings by Adrian Phoenix, Wraith by Phaedra Weldon, and Truly, Madly by Heather Webber. Which should I read first? Oh and how do you guys add the photo's of the books into your post? It's pretty nifty.

I have the new Adrian Phoenix one sitting here too, but haven't gotten to it.
To add the photo's just click on the link above the box where you add your comment, it says add book/author, then click on link or cover.

Anton wrote: "Valorie wrote: "I just finished

I just finished Twilight Fall by Lynn Viehl. Great story, really enjoyed it. Now I think I'm going to force myself to read Shades of Gray by Amanda Ashley. She is my 2nd Chance author in one of my challenges. I thought Night's Touch was terrible, so I'm kinda scared to read another by her.
Finished reading
Shift by Rachel Vincent. It was brilliant. There were so many heart-stopping moments, the tension was incredible. 5 stars. My full review.

Cherra wrote: "WHAT?? Did you get an ARC or something? I am jealous..."No, I heard that Bookdepository.co.uk had them in stock and were selling them early!
I finished Shades of Gray by Amanda Ashley, wasn't too impressed by it. It was my second attempt at her books and I don't think I will read anymore. I'm now reading
and so far so good.

Anne wrote: "Reading

Man! Sorry to hear that Melodie! Darcy, I'm loving #3! How many of the Jaz Parks books have you read?
Melodie, I always say that every book is not for every person and think it is great when people can talk about books even when they don't have the same opinion, but that still doesn't make me want to stop to try and change someone's mind about some of my favorites. LOLAnne, I have read all of the books so far. I think as this series goes on I find myself loving the secondary characters as much as Jaz. There are just so many funny things in these books, like how she gets her dog and all the great inventions that are thought up.
Darcy wrote: "Melodie, I always say that every book is not for every person and think it is great when people can talk about books even when they don't have the same opinion, but that still doesn't make me want ..."I like the dog and the inventions and the secondary characters...but oye, the internal dialogues Jaz? Too far out there for me! They drive me insane!
I loved the second to last book, with her Dad. It was my favorite so far.
I love the Jaz Parks series also!! Jennifer Rardin did a great job with the most recent installment. Loved it!!
I finished both
and

. I really enjoyed Shadow Blade. A great Urban Fantasy book. Not much romance but great storyline, action, and some Egyptology history thrown in. The Rest Falls Away was pretty good. It was the first book in the series so there was quite a bit of character building, etc. I still enjoyed it and will read the next in the series. I'm now reading

I'm moving soon, so I shouldn't be checking out so many books from my library, but you guys are killing me! Now I've got to know what's up with Jaz's dad and the cat robot!
