The best character to fall in love with, did I ever answer the question this thread was about? Doesn't matter it changes everyday for me. I have to add the BDB boys- My favs are Butch, V, Phury, and Qhuinn. I'm sure at some point Eric Northman was put on my list. Bones from Night huntress, Dorian from the Dark Swan books, Valerius, Zarek, Xypher, Vane, Wren from the dark-hunter books... Hmm.. maybe I need to cut my list down, it will take me 2 weeks to get through all those guys... although it would be a great 2 weeks...

Oh Tara, that's sweet! Lover Avenged... oh these two words just send shivers down my spine. The anticipation is killing me!
Come to think of it: I don't imagine myself waiting for the paperback when Lover Mine comes out. Waiting a month to read reviews and chat about the books is hardly do-able, let alone 6 months! I think I'll just buy the hardcopy :D

I'll let you know when I get tired Andrea, IF you promise to give Lover Enshrined a fair chance. Cause I really can't stand the low reviews for that book and the bad treatment Phury got (from Ward and from the Brotherhood).
All in all I think Lover Enshrined was one of the best book of the series. Urban fantasy combined with romance. And, despite V's bathroom scene, Phury had more and hotter sex scenes (the class room scene was hot! It's great reading about the male virgins, they just experience everything on such an intense level).
So: enjoy!

I second that - LEn is if not tied, then in second place with LAv for my favorite in the series. Seriously, the books get better with every release!

But for me, it wasn't Phury that won me over, it was the boys - Yummy, yummy Qhuinn, JM and his boldness and Qhuinn and... Honestly - it's brilliant! Sigh... I may have to queue that one up as my next audiobook...

Promise! I couldn't put it down last night, it's really good so far. But I hate the drug addiction, it's so weak to me. With all that Phury has been through it's really hard for me to see him so weak. Honestly the only one I had trouble getting through was Butch, I don't know why but really I just couldn't get into it.

I think I will go get Avenged tonight so when I finish Enshrined I don't have to go to the book store :)

Oh an has anyone read that Guide book or whatever, both my bookstores are out of it. Should I order it on-line?

Definitely - order it! Bella and Z's story is brilliant, the board chat and out takes are hilarious, and the interviews - priceless. You must have it! And it's fair game to read after Phury's book. =)

Oh and definitely go and get LAv - there's nothing like a weekend full of BDB goodness!

I second mine sister, the Insider's Guide is a must have. Wrath fly fishing, the lie about Vishous, Wellsie in memoriam, deleted scenes (the first deleted one from LEn is hot!)... everything you need to complete your status as BDB-addict (admit it!).

It's taken me a while to get started with DH too. I just downloaded a sample of the 1st book to my kindle and I think it's reeled me in. I haven't finished but I already want more. :) I am just nervous cus everyone says archeon (sp) is sad. I don't like sad :( I like HEA's!!

LOL, Adrienne. Me too, but I'm sure the ending is HEA. Actually, I'm wondering if I should just read Acheron's snippets from the other books and then his book, since he's obviously the favorite of the series. I've heard a lot of bad things about her style, so I figure I should get right to the supposedly best one if I want any hope rather than work through her entire giant list. LOL.

NU, you'll know after the first book or two whether or not you like her style. There are some who don't, but she's got a huge fan base, so there are a lot more that do. I skipped Fantasy Lover and then have read everything up through the latest release (with the exception of a couple of Dream Hunter books). Overall, I really like the series. However, I don't care for the direction she's taking it, so may not continue on with it as regularly - but there are others who love it. Basically though, you'll just have to try it out for yourself. =)
