Ok, so this is the reading order... (I gave the short stories my own numbers) Know that this list is always a work in progress so it's constantly being updated.

1-Fantasy Lover - Julian & Grace
Not really a Dark-Hunter Book, but it's like a prologue for the series, but don't judge the series by this book either... technically it's not called the first book, but you miss so much if you don't read it first

1.5- Dragonswan - Sebastian & Channon
Sold as a short story available in Tapestry or in the new Sherrilyn Kenyon Anthology In Other Worlds. This is the first Were-Hunter story ever published.

2- Night Pleasures -Kyrian & Amanda

3- Night Embrace - Talon & Sunshine

3.5- "Phantom Lover" - V'Aidan & Erin
Originally published in Midnight Pleasures, it is now available in the Dark Bites compendium that features all of the short stories Sherri wrote for St. Martin’s Press. This is the first Dream-Hunter story.

4- Dance with the Devil - Zarek & Astrid

4.5- A Dark-Hunter Christmas- Gallagher
This is a short story that was in the back of the first paperback edition of Dance with the Devil (US edition only). Though this book is technically the second were-hunter story, it's the first official were-hunter novel.

6.5- Winter Born - Dante & Pandora
Found in Stroke of Midnight

7- Seize the Night - Valerius & Tabitha

8- Sins of the Night - Alexion & Danger

8.5- Second Chances - Acheron & Styxx

10. 1-"A Hard Day’s Night Searcher" - Rafael & Celena
Originally published in the My Big Fat Supernatural Wedding anthology. It is now available in the Dark Bites compendium that features all of the short stories Sherri wrote for St. Martin’s Press.

10.2- "Until Death We Do Part" - Velkan & Retta
Short story that originally appeared in the Love at First Bite anthology. It is now available in the Dark Bitescompendium that features all of the short stories Sherri wrote for St. Martin’s
Press.

11- The Dream Hunter - Megeara and Arik
This is the first of the full length Dream-Hunter Books. This novel takes place about a decade before Night Pleasures, but has information that some might consider spoilers if they read it before Night Pleasures. Sherri wrote it at this time as the events and characters in this novel directly relate to events in Devil May Cry and Acheron.

11.5-Fear the Darkness- Nick
Another short story Sherri wrote as a

12- Devil May Cry - Sin & Kat

13- The Dark-Hunter Companion - The encyclopedia of Dark-Hunter.

14-Upon the Midnight Clear - Aidan & Leta

16- Acheron - Ash & Tory
This is the end of her first story arc

16.5- "Where Angels Fear to Tread" - Zeke
Originally published in the Blood Lite anthology, it contains the first Hellchaser short story.

17- One Silent Night - Stryker & Zephyra
It takes place between the last chapter and the epilogue of Acheron

18- Dream Warrior - Jericho & Delphine
This is really where it lays out all the new stuff that's happening in the 2nd arc.

18.5- "Shadow of the Moon" - Fury & Lia
Found in Dead After Dark. This is helpful to read before Bad Moon Rising.

19- Bad Moon Rising - Fang & Aimee

20- No Mercy - Dev & Sam

21- Retribution - Jess & Abby

22- The Guardian - Seth & Lydia

23- Redemption - Seth & Lydia

25- Dark Bites -Compendium that features all of the short stories Sherri wrote

26- DarkHunter: An Insider's Guide -A compilation of 5 never-before-seen Sherrilyn Kenyon short stories from the Dark Hunter Series

27- Styxx- Styxx & Bethany

You can pretty much skip the short stories if you can't get them, occasionally she'll make a reference that will make you smile if you've read them and if not you won't get lost, although I think you should read "Shadow of the Moon" before reading Bad Moon Rising.. but that's just my opinion.
