They do full on audio productions with different voice actors for each character, sound effects, background mood music. They don't have everything and they are a little expensive compared to Audible

Thanks, I was curious
After finishingThe Forever War, I went straight to Forever Peace... Yeah, slow dragging with this book. Not sure if I want to finish this before going to Forever Free.
In the mean time, I've been reading Billy Moon: A Transcendent Novel Reimagining the Life of Christopher Robin Milne.
And just for fun, I've added Oh Myyy! to my reading list.
I listened to the Librivox version of The Machine Stops by E.M. Forster while plucking off mint leaves for tea. :)
I finished listening to Beyond the Shadows. I found it disappointing (Full Review).
I've started listening to Theft of Swords, which I'm enjoying so far. The reader is excellent too.

I've finished The Demolished man and a little more than halfway through Rendezvous with Rama. After that I'm going to be heading into either Embassytown or The Curse of Chalion (which sadly arrived in my mailbox too late to enjoy with the group). I'm thinking it's also about time for me to move onto A Storm of Swords. As I'm officially going through bad GoT withdrawl.
I'm re-reading Heir to the Empire, this time in audio, and loving every moment of it. I'm also going through a few others; Foodist: Using Real Food and Real Science to Lose Weight Without Dieting, Star Wars: Choices of One and Ghosts by Gaslight: Stories of Steampunk and Supernatural Suspense.
I finished the newest Drizzt, The Companions, which I did not enjoy. Now I'm read A Fortress In Shadow, my first visit to the Dread Empire. I hope it will be as good as The Black Company.
Read the kindle sample of Kim Stanley Robinson's Shaman. Instead of being on Mars it's prehistoric. It seems well researched, but would it hold your interest it would probably vary with the individual.
First post in the group after lurking since December.I'm reading
Hunger Games Trilogy half way thru now,
Then onto
The Demolished Man and Fuzzy Nation

Welcome to the group Scott.

Welcome to the group Scott.
Finished The Ocean at the End of the Lane, which was unsurprisingly lovely and surprising, and started The Ocean at the End of the LaneTerry Pratchett's Snuff because, well, Discworld.
Listening to Summer Knight and reading The Name of the Wind. I have been doing a terrible job keeping up with the actual sword and laser picks.
Tamahome wrote: "Read the kindle sample of Kim Stanley Robinson's Shaman. Instead of being on Mars it's prehistoric. It seems well researched, but would it hold your interest it would probably vary with the indiv..."Oh, looks interesting. Plus, cool cover.
Re-read M. John Harrison's Light and Nova Swing and now reading the third in the Kefahuchi trilogy Empty Space: A Haunting. Also started Blackbirds
September belongs to Simon R. Green's Nightside series. I'm on Book 4 (Hex and the City) and this series just keeps getting better. I read his Secret Histories series last, and while it was a bit too tongue-in-cheek, these books hit the right tone, while being unique to his universe.

I enjoyed the Nightside books. They are a little uneven, but pretty fun.

Gotta say I'm not liking the Carnacki ones as well -- I think it's because they're in third-person but he's still using a very similar voice to Nightside and Secret Histories, and it just doesn't work as well.
But it's also a relatively young series (he's written four and I've read two) so there's still room for improvement.
And I just finished Snuff (which I had extreme trouble putting down to do things like sleep and go to work) and started The Shattered Goddess by Darrell Schweitzer.
Finished Peter F Hamilton's The Dreaming VoidMy review http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
Starting Emperor of Thorns
Finished Swordspoint and then went right on and read/listened to The Privilege of the Sword which was excellent, (especially the audio version) but a bit girly, in case some of you don't like that sort of thing. Both by Ellen Kushner. Now listening to Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, and loving it and reading The Wolf Gift by Anne Rice which is ok but weird, being basically a superhero book and not all angsty and-self tortured like her vampire stuff. I'm only to chapter 8 though so it might get more depressing lol.
X-Rated BloodsuckersMidrealm (which comes in paperback this month).
And the last Dresden novel that's been sitting on my shelf collecting dust for a couple months... My writing has gotten in the way of my reading, so I made more time this month.
Finished The Shattered Goddess by Darrell Schweitzer and am moving on to the recently-published companion collection, Echoes of the Goddess: Tales of Terror and Wonder from the End of Time.
Finished The Curse of Chalion, which I didn't get the chance to read last month, and now moving to Warrior by Zoë Archer for Vaginal Fantasy.
I finished reading The Bonehunters (My Review). This is definitely my favorite book of the Malazan Fallen series so far.
I also finished listening to Theft of Swords, which is actually a 2 story omnibus (My Review). The audiobook is especially good.
I enjoyed it enough to jump right into Rise of Empire, which is the next two stories in the series.

Rob wrote: "I also finished listening to Theft of Swords, which is actually a 2 story omnibus (My Review). The audiobook is especially good."I enjoyed the whole Riyria series.
Cool. I plan to keep reading at least the first series. I may jump into the prequel trilogy after but I'm not sure yet.
Rob wrote: "Cool. I plan to keep reading at least the first series. I may jump into the prequel trilogy after but I'm not sure yet."I haven't read the prequel book yet. But I've had a couple online interactions with the author (Michael J. Sullivan) and he seems like a cool guy. So maybe I will sometime. Also, I'm pretty sure he's working on a new fantasy world, so I eagerly await that.
Almost finished with The Gorgon and Other Beastly Tales. All I have to say is, no one does moody, atmospheric fantasy like Tanith Lee.
I got two thirds of the way through The Darwin Elevator for my book group tomorrow, but I don't like it (I know several others are enjoying it). I skipped ahead to the end, which is setting things up for the next book in the trilogy.Finished Yellowcake, a collection of short stories by Margo Lanagan. They were good.
I picked up Battle Royale at the library, and can hear the anime voiceovers in my head, ala Starblazers. Also Dead Reckoning, which I believe is the n-2 book in the Sookie Stackhouse series.
Hesper wrote: "Almost finished with The Gorgon and Other Beastly Tales. All I have to say is, no one does moody, atmospheric fantasy like Tanith Lee."Which reminds me that I really, really, really need to reread the Flat Earth books sooner or later.
I am in the process of rereading those right now. Just finished Night's Master a few days ago, and will be staring on Death's Master this week. She is so good. The earlier stuff, anyway. I haven't quite gotten the same thrill out of reading her more recent works.
Currently reading Mo' Meta Blues: The World According to Questlove and once I'm done going to head onto Doctor Sleep and Happy Hour in Hell.
Finished Assassin's Quest Friday and promptly threw the book across the room. I hated it.Now a quick read: The Alloy of Law before Steelheart next week.
Dara wrote: "Finished Assassin's Quest Friday and promptly threw the book across the room. I hated it."
I haven't read that one yet why did you hate it?
Did you like the first two?
Just finished Warbreaker and I really liked it. I'm now going to finish off the last two 'Cosmere' novels from Brandon Sanderson that I have not read yet. Those being Elantris and The Alloy of Law. My main goal for this is so I can read Cosmere speculation without spoiling anything from other novels.

I need to do that too. Much further behind though.
